Sin is the transgression of the law.
So yes, doing evil is sin. But I know this is a trick question, isn't it? I'll check back tomorrow to see if i was right
I think that sin is sin...but if you're a believer you're covered by Grace...as soon as you know you have sinned ..you need to repent of it..and try not to repeat it again...here's something that I found... https://www.gotquestions.org/sin-consequences.htmlSince all wrongdoing is sin (1 John 5:17), is it a sin to do evil of any kind?
Since all wrongdoing is sin (1 John 5:17), is it a sin to do evil of any kind?
Why ask a rhetorical question. The answer is YES.Since all wrongdoing is sin (1 John 5:17), is it a sin to do evil of any kind?
That is not what Isaiah is saying at all. He is comparing the righteous works of the unsaved to the righteousness of God and Christ. In this regard *there is none righteous*.It's a sin to do good as well . . . Isaiah makes it clear for us . . .
So what does God think of a man trying to work his way to heaven with his good works? That is not what Isaiah is saying at all. He is comparing the righteous works of the unsaved to the righteousness of God and Christ. In this regard *there is none righteous*.
It is NOT a sin to do righteous deeds, but that will not make anyone fit for Heaven. The standard is God s absolute righteousness.
That was exactly my point. Apart from the imputed righteousness of Christ, no man can enter Heaven. Hence those attempts are merely *filthy rags* in view of the robe of righteousness which God places upon the one who believes. So what does God think of a man trying to work his way to heaven with his good works?
