The end times are important for the welfare of the world.
I agree with your perspective that end times scriptures are important for the welfare of the world.
And with the Lord having provided so many end times scriptures throughout His book, there is then some sort of urgency during these times that Gods children are to be more aware of.

Let's say the Jews in Israel today were to erect a new temple in Jerusalem;...why would the Lord be concerned with a bunch of unbelievers listening to someone at a stone structure?

The temple of the Lord is within the faithful (see below).

1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Acts 7:48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,

17:24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
When the Antichrist is standing where he ought not stand, it is within the hearts of the faithful (the Lords temple).
What do you think his wearing out and overcoming the saints in Daniel 7:25 and Revelation 13:7 means ?
It means his policy which will bring about prosperity (Daniel 8:12 & 24-25), and have the whole world in love with, will also appear great among the faithful.
Those who do not recognize the prosperity the beasts system will bring about, will then be the worshipers of the beast and its system.

Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Revelation 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

Daniel 8:12 And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.

Daniel 8:24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

It is not so much about *end times* but what happens AFTER the Second Coming of Christ, and the establishment of the New Heavens and the New Earth. The end times should really concern the unsaved.

But God has a glorious plan for the earth and the universe, for the Church as well as for redeemed and restored Israel + the saved nations that will surround Israel under Christ. Yet Christians rarely get to see this in perspective because of multiple false doctrines pertaining to the end times, such as Amillennialism, Replacement Theology, Dominion Theology, Ultra (or Hyper) Dispensationalism, etc.

For the children of God, the immediate concern should be preparation for the Resurrection/Rapture of the Church (called the Blessed Hope) which could even occur today.

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure (1 Jn 3:1-3)
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. (Titus 2:11-14)

This has always been imminent, but is much closer today because we are currently in the midst of the Great Apostasy. Purification includes separation from the Great Apostasy.
I agree, there is also about an equal amount of scriptures following the Lords return.
Nevertheless, with circa an equal amount of scriptures/data on events leading to the Lords return; the Lord then felt it necessary to provide this information as well.

Could you give me the addresses of the verse that talks of the Great Apostasy? From, the Bible, of course. Thanks!
μή τις ὑμᾶς ἐξαπατήσῃ κατὰ μηδένα τρόπον ὅτι ἐὰν μὴ ἔλθῃ ἡ ἀποστασία* πρῶτον καὶ ἀποκαλυφθῇ ὁ ἄνθρωπος τῆς ἁμαρτίας, ὁ υἱὸς τῆς ἀπωλείας (2 Thess 2:3)

King James 2000 Bible
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come the falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Transliteration: apostasia
Phonetic Spelling: (ap-os-tas-ee'-ah)

Usage: defection, apostasy, revolt.

Thayer's Greek Lexicon
STRONGS NT 646: ἀποστασία

ἀποστασία, ἀποστασιας, ἡ (ἀφισταμαι), a falling away, defection, apostasy; in the Bible namely, from the true religion: Acts 21:21; 2 Thessalonians 2:3; ((Joshua 22:22; 2 Chronicles 29:19; 2 Chronicles 33:19); Jeremiah 2:19; Jeremiah 36: 9) 32 Complutensian; 1 Macc. 2:15). the "five foolish virgins" all loose their salvation!
Actually I believe the 5 foolish virgins are saved, but suffer due to their lack of works...

(Excerpted from a previous blog, with some copy/paste issues)

HOW WILL WE BE JUDGED?

We’ve seen prior to Jesus’ return the events by which the world will be judged, and that we will take part in it. But it’s not just that earthly judgment we have to be concerned with. In Revelation 11, where we heard the 7th trumpet sound, those around God’s throne proclaim that the time has come for Him to rule and judge the saints. That’s us. And that’s a whole separate judgment. The tribulation events are an earthly phenomenon, occurring before His return; judging the saints is spiritual and comes after He gathers us. So how then will we be judged?

Jesus likened this judgment as to when a man going on a journey called his servants together and gave them each some money to look after. When he returned he found that two had wisely invested the monies to earn more. He was proud of them and put them in charge over parts of his estate. But a third servant had only hid his, returning no more than what he had been given. The man scolded this servant and cast him out, calling him unfaithful. "To whom much is given, much will be required” Jesus said[1].

This is pretty clear and logical. We will be called to account for how we use what He gives us. The productive servant will be rewarded, and the unproductive is ‘cast out’.

Jesus had earlier likened our entrance into His Kingdom as to when a king threw a feast and those he invited were too busy to respond[2]. So the king opened the doors and took in anyone who would come, filled the place and the feast began. Those who had been invited came at their leisure, only to find themselves tossed out and the door shut in their face.

Jesus later expanded on this by telling of 10 ‘virgins’ (using a term that references wedding attendants) with lamps who went out to wait for a bridegroom[3]. The groom was delayed and the attendants went to sleep. Late at night they were awakened by the bridegroom’s coming. Turning up their lamps to receive him, half of them were out of oil and had to go find some. While they were gone, the groom arrived and took the others into the wedding feast. When the five without oil returned later, they found themselves denied entrance and shut out.

There’s a recurring theme here. We are accountable for how we use what He gives us; The prudent enter into a feast, and the ‘tardy’ are shut out.

Paul described our judgment[4], where he says we will give an account of our lives to God and receive good or bad for our works. Paul explained to the Corinthians[5] that those who founded their faith in Jesus build upon that foundation by the works they do, whether good (represented by silver and gold) or bad (wood and straw). On the day of judgment these works will be tested by fire, and those whose work is not burnt up will be rewarded, while those whose work is burned away will suffer a loss. But they will be saved, as though "through the fire” Paul says.

As though thru the fire. What does that mean?

When Jesus returns and takes us up He will host a feast, a wedding feast to be exact and we’ll look at that in a bit. The point is when He returns, those He finds faithfully responsive will enter in with Him to this feast. But those who aren’t will find themselves shut out of it. Remember, these are all part of that group that He gathered to Him thus these are all saved. None the less some are separated from Him for a time because of their faithlessness.

Hell in its Biblical form is a place set apart from the presence of God[6], and described as a lake of fire. With God inside at the wedding feast, those who are locked out are set apart from His presence, and therefore going through a very real form of hell. "As though through the fire,” Paul said. Jesus said that the unfaithful servant will be appointed a portion with the unbelievers[7], and repeatedly warned that those who fail His judgment will be cast out into darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth[8] - a close analogy to the wailing and gnashing described going on in the lake of fire[9].

There is debate on whether you get your heaven or hell pass by ‘being good’. Jesus says that for actually getting in, no that does not matter. The reason that doesn’t matter is because all you have to do is be bad once, and your ticket is punched. And Lord knows we’re all going to trip up at some point. That’s why Jesus says that He is not just the way to God, but the only way to Him. He paid our entry fee, and there’s nothing we can possibly do to earn it aside from accepting it. That is the unforgivable sin – not accepting forgiveness. So no, being good does not get you into ‘heaven’.

BUT – being good or bad does get you into or out of Jesus’ wedding feast. If you’re cast out then you will go thru purification in something very similar to hell while the feast goes on.

I prefer the KISS method of looking at things. This is a term used in the electronics and software industry. It stands for Keep It Simple Stupid. Boiling down all of the scriptures relating to salvation the following is left.
Grace is a free gift of God.
We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus.

These two simple concepts cause problems with the unsaved. They keep looking for how to earn salvation. They are unable to understand it is impossible to earn.

Also in the KJV there is a verse that sums up the unsaved mind set. "The carnal mind is enmity against God."
I see this in action on a political forum. Mention God or Jesus and watch the hate spew forth from some.

My smartphone is my Bible. I have a web browser page set to biblegateway.com and it allows setting book and chapter. Then I can select translations. Thus I can compare them. KJV has many warts due to the date of the translation,1611. English has changed much over the years. An example is the word kill. In 1611 it meant deliberate murder. Today you can hit a car broadside that ran a red light and kill the driver. In this case you have no fault in killing the person. As a result the following 2 translations of a commandment. KJV first followed by NIV.
Thou shalt not kill.
You shall not murder.

This is only one of the warts of the KJV. There are nonexistent animals mentioned like satyres. Here is a file about the outdated KJV.

Why do you keep using the now flawed KJV translation. The language and understanding of nature has changed over the 400 years since then. There are words that are no longer used. Do you know what a gold ouches is?

KJV Issues
Here is a list of problems with the KJV because of the 400 years of language and science understanding the things of nature.

For example, because of the changes in the English language, a number of words occur in the King James that make zero sense to most people today. These include the following nuggets that you will find scattered here and there:

Almug
Algum
Charashim
Chode
Cracknels
Gat
Habergeon
Hosen
Kab
Ligure
Neesed
Nusings
Ouches
ring-straked
sycamyne
trow
wimples
etc.

The King James translators also translated some animal names into animals that in fact we now have pretty good reason for thinking don’t actually exist:

unicorn (Deut. 33:17)
satyr (Isa 13:21);
dragon (Deut 32:33) (for serpent)
cockatrice (Isa 11:8),
arrowsnake (Gen 49:11, in the margin).

Moreover, there are phrases that simply don’t make sense any more to modern readers:

Phrases that no longer make sense:

ouches of gold (Exod. 28:11);
collops of fat (Job 15:25);
naughty figs (Jer 24:2);
ien with (Jer. 3:2);
the ground is chapt (Jer 14:4);
brazen wall” (Jer 15:20);
rentest thy face (Jer. 4:30);
urrain of the cattle (Exod. 9:2);
(looked up ouches and today we put br in front of it and change the u to o. Brooches.)

And there are whole sentences that are confusing at best, virtually indecipherable (or humorous)

And Jacob sod pottage (Gen 25:29)
And Mt. Sinai was altogether on a smoke (Exoc. 19:18)
Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing (Ps. 5:6)
I trow not (Luke 17:9)
We do you to wit of the grace of God (2 Cor. 8:1)
Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels (2 Cor. 6:12)
He who letteth will let (2 Thes 2:7)
The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd (Eccles. 12:11)

Other sentences make sense, but would today be considered somewhat problematic – at least for the sacred Scripture. My favorite is the one that refers to a one who: “Pisseth against the wall:…. 1 Sam 25:22, 34, I Kings 14:10!
(looked this up, it means the person is a man, NIV uses the word man)

Why do you keep using the now flawed KJV translation.
Because ALL modern versions are even more flawed.

They are corruptions derived from corrupted manuscripts.

Please consult the King James 2000 Bible for an updated KJV (not the NKJV).

ROTFLMAO
In point of fact there are thousands of full and partial manuscripts of the Old and New Testaments. In fact there are errors of spelling that allows tracking of parent and child relationship between the manuscripts. These errors have no effect on the meaning of the text. Your accusations of corrupted manuscripts is bogus!!

Here is a file I keep just for people like you. I use my smartphone as my Bible. I have a web browser page set to biblegateway.com and select book and chapter. Then I can switch between translations. Explain away the issues with KJV. If you use it keep in mind the following defects. I go between KJV, NIV, ESV, and AMPC. AMPC has the added benefit of putting alternative definitions of an original language word in parentheses. Why do you ignore the fact that multiple manuscripts are used as the source texts and a group of translators are used in modern times to create the new translation. This in order to minimize errors of translation.
Hopefully the KJV2000 has most of these issues fixed.

Another example of language changes.

In KJV and NIV here is one of the commandments.

Thou shalt not kill.
You shall not murder.

In 1611 kill meant deliberately killing someone. Thus today the proper word is murder. You can kill someone who ran a red light and if you kill him by hitting his car broadside on the driver's side. You will have no blame in his death.

satyr (Isa 13:21);
dragon (Deut 32:33) (for serpent)
cockatrice (Isa 11:8),
arrowsnake (Gen 49:11, in the margin).

Moreover, there are phrases that simply don’t make sense any more to modern readers:

Phrases that no longer make sense:

ouches of gold (Exod. 28:11);
collops of fat (Job 15:25);
naughty figs (Jer 24:2);
ien with (Jer. 3:2);
the ground is chapt (Jer 14:4);
brazen wall” (Jer 15:20);
rentest thy face (Jer. 4:30);
urrain of the cattle (Exod. 9:2);

Your accusations of corrupted manuscripts is bogus!!
That remark shows that YOU HAVE NOT DONE YOUR DUE DILIGENCE. But you have lot's of company, since even the scholars and pastors have not done their due diligence in this regard.

On the other hand, I have done my due diligence and know what I am talking about.

The fact is the KJV is a very flawed translation!!! Part of the problem is 400 hundred years of language changes and knowledge of nature has increased massively. As a result it is flawed. It can be used if you understand these issues. I use biblegateway.com to go between translations. I use KJV, NIV, ESV and AMPC. Thus the flaws of KJV is easily seen by going between translations. I like the verse in KJV that states "The carnal mind is enmity against God." other translations say the equivalent with many more words. In this case the KJV is easily remembered.
