There are so many posts against obedience to God's law I'm wondering if they also object to repentance or if Christians think Christ wants us to repent?

This is a common question for many baby Christians who haven't studied the Word thoroughly. Here is a short breakdown of what God's law, repentance, and salvation mean.
In order to go to heaven, you have to repent. You don't have to follow all 613 laws in the Bible, but you have to follow at least the 10 commandments. If don't follow the 10 commandments or you don't repent, then you are in serious danger of going to hell. You absolutely MUST repent to go to heaven. The whole point of Christ's sacrifice was to bring sinners to repentance. Only Christ's blood could call the world to repentance.
Following the rest of God's law (the 613 commandments) is for Christians who are more serious about their salvation and who want extra protection from going to hell.
Salvation is attained when you die, after you've walked long enough in obedience to God, and become disciplined in producing good deeds without sin.

There is such a wide study of the Old Testament Law, God's Law, God's Convenant and the consequences for disobedience, thus the many posts and debates. But I don't feel the majority of posts object to repentance, or attempting to find a consolation for not repenting.
In your walk with Jesus, He wants you and all of us to repent, daily.
You started a good topic and look forward to some great posts that will help answer your question and for all of us.

You're supposed to keep the Sabbath too, yes. I'm not saying you go to hell if you don't keep the Sabbath. I don't know if you will. But it's one of the core commandments. Not keeping the Sabbath jeapordizes you to some degree.
If u study on the biblical sabbath and not the man made rules u might understand better
Do you repent at the end of everyday?
If you do, do you remember all your sins and repent of them one by one?
Or do you just do a blanket "Lord please forgive me of ALL my sins today"
If people heard our Savior, Jesus, and did according to His teaching they would not feel the impulse to ask us these silly questions…… They do not absorb when Jesus teaches and heals on the Sabbath He said, "My Father is working and so must I."
If any of them are hearing us, it is perfectly alright, even holy, to work on the Sabbath if we must to keep up our responsibilities. If we were living in a theocracy, there would be government help for us not to need to work on the Sabbath.
If these people against the Sabbath did not have their own laws they would not spout being followers of the teaching of Paul yet ignoring when he teaches if a peron ha a good conscience in the sigh tof God in his own practices, he has not sin
That is according to what they say the believe. They say the believe Paul, het when he tells us it is just fine if we have a clear conscience to practice thesse things, no harm to any others, we are under the law? It sounds to me these folks are legalists and under the law, their own fabricated laws.
If we demonstrate how Jesus teaches, they tell us we are under the law, even though we know we cannot be saved in any manner except by the mercy and grace of the Cross.
So, in effect, they are telling us not to obey Paul's teaching, which by the way we do, nor to obey that of Jesus Christ, only obey their man-made doctrines based on more of a vote than on anything from our Father.
I think it bes we continue to obey by the Holy Spirit.............this always includes teh mercy and grace of Jesus Christ, our Salvation

Or perhaps you are misunderstanding what is being said. No Christians in their right mind would talk about disobeying God's laws.
On the other hand, the Bible says that no one can establish their own righteousness by the works of the Law. That is because salvation is by grace through faith. And those who have been saved by grace are required to obey the commandments of God and Christ.
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep [obey] his commandments. (1 John 2:3)
As to repentance, it is a condition for salvation. There are many verses which make this clear.
On the other hand, if you are talking about Sabbath-observance, you should note that the Lord's Day (the first day of the week) is the Christian sabbath.

There are no post against onedience to Gods law, there are post against the misapplication and misunderstanding of Gods law,
The purpose of Gods law is to bring us to an acknowledgment of guilt, the showing what God thinks of sin, and how far seperated we are from God, and what has to happen to atone our sin (death) paul calls this the tutor
Jesus tells us HOW to live a life which does not break the law, he never said we do it b following it.

And when people teach that after we have come to final understanding and have been led to christ through repentance and faith, that we go back to the law, they not only do not know the law, they do not know christ.
Before you judge others, you need to judge yourself!
No one who believes in obeying the law after having received mercy and graqce by the Blood of the Passover Lamb of God even entertains obeying all 611-13 laws.
All who learn of Jesus, Yeshua, know well He has made the lion's portion of those laws no longer in effect.
He mad foods clean with blessing before eating.
He completed the laws of Sacrifice being the Only eternal Sacrifice for the sins of man.
He irraticated the laws of priesthood, for He is the High Priest and we now are the priests tot he Most High.
He is the Chief and the Cornerston of the Tmple while we are the lving stones of the same...by the way, remember Jesus said there will not be one stone left upon the other in reference to the Temple.
And so many more.
The law is now on our hearts, however this is no excuse to disobey the remaining written laws that got toegether to make up the two great laws of Love. We know those laws by our new nature..
No manor waman will arrive in heaven by obeying the laws, but no man nor woman will ever gain heaven by living in abject disobedience. We, as good children, know to obey our Father...those who do not know this are either temporarily deceived or followers of something else other thant the Word.
well, since gentiles were never under the Law, unless you are jewish, you were never commanded to keep the Sabbath, or any more of them.
