Today it's -16C and snowing. The snow stopped early this afternoon, so I went outside and cleared the driveway.

...

Then it started snowing again.

The Lord gives, and He gives more. Blessed be the Name of the Lord. :)

Jupiter is the fastest spinning planet in our solar system rotating on average once in just under 10 hours. That is very fast especially considering how large Jupiter is. This means that Jupiter has the shortest days of all the planets in the solar system. Since Jupiter is a gas planet, it does not rotate as a solid sphere. Jupiter's equator rotates a bit faster than its polar regions at a speed of 28,273 miles/hour (about 43,000 kilometers an hour).Jupiter's day varies from 9 hours and 56 minutes around the poles to 9 hours and 50 minutes close to the equator.

Something interesting...

You can absolutely wreck an XCOM game with only assault class or heavy class. Only snipers is doable but more tedious, and forget about doing a game with only medics. :geek:

Sorry, I've been playing a lot of XCOM lately.

Today, 90% of the King James Version of the Holy Bible and 75% of the Revised Standard Version are from the translation made by Tyndale, a man to whom you owe more than you’ll ever know.

A graduate of Oxford and Cambridge, Tyndale had a burning desire to make the Bible available to even the common people in England, in order to correct the ‘Biblical ignorance of the priests’. At one point Tyndale told a priest, “If God spares my life, ere many years pass, I will cause a boy that driveth the plow shall know more of the Scriptures than thou dost.”

Eventually, Tyndale was betrayed by Henry Phillips to the imperial authorities, seized in Antwerp in 1535, and held in the castle of Vilvoorde (Filford) near Brussels. He was tried on a charge of heresy in 1536 and was condemned to be burned to death, despite Thomas Cromwell's intercession on his behalf. Tyndale "was strangled to death while tied at the stake, and then his dead body was burned".

His final words, spoken "at the stake with a fervent zeal, and a loud voice", were reported as "Lord! Open the King of England's eyes."

I went to a church, met this guy and he asked my dad for my hand. Then he went on a mission trip. I dropped him at the airport and his other girlfriend picked him up at the airport in Indonesia. She didnt know when he'd arrive, so she asked a woman, who gave her my number and I told her when he'd arrive. They had a cute pic made, the nice woman sent it to me and her husband told me he was chatting w her all the time, hi darling, in the cafetaria, with him next to him and with 20 or so other girls, so I warned the Indonesian gf and he got mad and wrote the elder from church a nasty letter, because he didnt want to mediate to get us back together. I said to the elder: it's all your fault. No I didnt do anything, said the elder. Joke. It's a joke. I never have something like that, said my collegue. My life is so boring.

The guy in question sounds like a real jerk. Good thing you didn't end up with him. Glad to have you onboard with us. Welcome to CC.

I don't know if that was interesting. But it was disturbing.

Last year and this year, I have awakened to songs that I haven't heart in years, a different one every day. whats odd is, I have the t.v. going pretty much on gospel songs all day and evening, ( caregiver of my moms she likes singing) and usually you have the last song you hear on your mind and that is why it comes to mind, so this is odd that it ISN'T a song I heard that day or previous , its like years ago, real old hymns.. Like Marching to Zion...…..Down by the riverside, this morning was "what a day". I get excited every day I open my eyes and automatic like clock work one come to my mind. So I started putting them in a book and looking them up on youtube and reading the lyrics to see if it had some meaning for me that day, most were about going home to Heaven, maybe he is coming after us soon, we need to keep trying to win souls.

Kinda hard? Pfft! The 2012 XCOM remake (what I've been playing) is a cakewalk compared to the original pre-millennial XCOM. It looks pretty but is engineered to try to give you a feeling of accomplishment without actually having a challenge.

So I got the Long War mod. Ahhh, much better! Now it's a challenge again.

For JRPGs you could try Legrand Legacy. I've been keeping it on my gog.com wishlist, waiting for a sale.

Or if you want a freeware JRPG, try Exit Fate. It is a great story.

I have tons of other recommendations for RPGs but I don't want to overrun this thread.

Steam schmeam. Steam is a scheme to lock the game to one computer. Steam is the iTunes of computer games.

Exit Fate will run on any computer made since 1998. I'll PM you a list of some freeware games I've found over the years, specifically RPGs. Some good (like Exit Fate,) some goofy (like Breath of Flan 4: Flan Rising,) some just neat (like Iffermoon.)
