Do you think this guy was an ancient alien advocate..........

Interestingly, Manhattan Project chief scientist Dr J. Robert Oppenheimer was known to be familiar with ancient Sanskrit literature. In an interview conducted after he watched the first atomic test, he quoted from the Bhagavad Gita:

"'Now I am become Death, the Destroyer of Worlds.' I suppose we all felt that way."

When asked in an interview at Rochester University seven years after the Alamogordo nuclear test whether that was the first atomic bomb ever to be detonated, his reply was,

Ancient cities whose brick and stonewalls have literally been vitrified, that is, fused together, can be found in India, Ireland, Scotland, France, Turkey and other places. There is no logical explanation for the vitrification of stone forts and cities, except from an atomic blast

Anaheim, Cali.
is that supposed to be a joke? Can someone translate that to me from Scientist to Gypsy?
To a Gypsy from an old hippie;
3 points of view from 3 learned men = 2 different conclusions and 1 inconclusion. We all have the right to an opinion as long as we are sincere. We also may be sincerely mistaken. Not a joke.

The second part doesn’t refer to yesterday, it states what the writer meant, and AS a watch in the night which was 3 watches 4 hours each in the OT. a thousand years and As 4 hours.

It seems you are wanting it to mean and the watch has come and gone, your twisting the whole verse and trying to imply something that is not in the verse at all and there is no punctuation missing.

This is the verse.

Psalms 90:4
For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday
when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

Now, how the verse should read (since we understand it was from the KJV translation team, whom taught us our English):

Psalms 90:4
For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday,
when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

Big Difference when some rules are applied to make the sentence be structured. This could been an easy mistake. Some could think deliberate. Does not matter. If you translate any language into English, you still must apply structure to it.

to the Hebrew, the day begins at sundown. evening is only the first half of the day. when a watch in the night has gone by, the day is not past. it's only begun. at most it's only halfway over, if it's specifically the 3rd watch of the night - but this verse in the song is specifically unspecific; it's 'a watch' not 'a certain watch'

I am not implying anything special here. I am implying only select sentence structure from the Hebrew to have any reference to a "one day as a thousand year special time reference to God's time. It's still only one day to both of us in relative matters. I am just pointing out the word yesterday, meant a day that just past leading to today. So, that reference alone equals one day. And added the one thousand years, that's just another fusion of the concept of Hebrew thinking, in terms of God and how they saw Him keep time.

What is "pi"?
Mathematician: Pi is a constant equal to the value of the ratio between the circumference of a circle and its diameter.
Physicist: Pi is 3.1415927 plus or minus 0.00000005
Engineer: Pi is about 3.

Technology has crippled the abilities of the engineer. And it would be a way to weed out good from bad. This use of programs designed to only require simple input and push enter has slowed thinking processing to shortcut, although it be inaccurate.

I also wish to offer my apologies to those I offended. I tend to say my bottom line upfront and then explain later. It's funny to assume you are mind readers and know my vernacular. My bad!!

why don't you use bold font on the whole verse?

really makes it look like you're purposefully de-emphasizing half of it
