I've heard the body glue thing before, and it seems totally irrelevant to me.
What is the point? That because body glue is shaped like a cross, therefore Jesus? That is not very compelling evidence. It's akin to walking through the woods and seeing two branches forming a cross and exclaiming, "the branches are crossed! Jesus must be real! He made that tree! It must be a sign that proves his existence!".
The way this should be approached is: because the Word of God says so, therefore Jesus. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. It is God's will that through faith the elect should enter into Christ. If there was evidence compelling enough to prove the existence of God, why would we need faith?
God could easily prove his existence at any time he so desires, and people would come to him in flocks. But during this the Church age, he chooses to reveal himself only to those whom he chooses, and the method that he uses to do this is the gospel.
1 Corinthians 1:18-24
18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
19 For it is written:
“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;
the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”
20 Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
21 For since in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not know Him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.
22 Jews demand signs and Greeks search for wisdom,
23 but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,
24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
DISCLAIMER: When i say "prove his existence" I mean in an undeniable way that cannot be reasoned away by unbelievers.
