We have to BELIEVE that we have to OBEY Jesus.

All the scriptures that say 'believe', they do NOT nullify the scripture that say to 'obey'.
Did you know that the word "obey" as we understand it does not occur in the Old Testament?

Be honest now?

There is a brain disfunction where people see everywhere what their brain thinks it is seeing.
I have no answers to your projections, because you are not listening or want to know me or
even care about Jesus and what He is doing.

Non-christians talk like you about people who say Jesus has changed them.
So it suggests to me that is what you must be and have not experienced the change in Christ
so believe it is not true. God bless you.
the brain dysfunction you speak of is called reality.

One of the passages where the word "repent" IS used, is in Acts 3, where Peter is speaking to "ye men of Israel"... note what he says:

Acts 3 -

12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son [/Servant] Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

17 And now, brethren [his Jewish brethren, that is], I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.

18 But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.

19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

Here, Peter is telling them to "metanoēsate" about the Person of Jesus Christ.
Jews know they have to repent of sins.
The Bible tells us plainly we have to repent of sins.

Many millions of believers have been executed and their executors who thought they were doing a good thing.
"a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God."
John 16:2
Oh, now we have the martyr syndrome.

Evil people always hate piety and service to God and righteousness.
Where did I ever say or imply such a thing? I'm simply exposing your little self-righteous act.

You confuse believe unto salvation with obedience that comes after salvation. Faith in Christ is the root of salvation and obedience/works which follows is the fruit. You teach that we are saved by faith PLUS obedience/works which follows. You clearly teach salvation by works. Obedience is not forced or legalistic for those who are born of God.

Tell us what you think that means.
We have to be sorry for our sins and turn from them. We have to stop sinning.

John 5:14 Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, “See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.”

1 Corinthians 15:34 Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame.

2 Peter 2:14 With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning; they seduce the unstable; they are experts in greed—an accursed brood!

I confuse nothing.
You hinder people from getting saved in the first place when you preach against obeying Jesus.

Jesus tells us HOW TO GET SAVED.

If we do what Jesus says, then it will keep you from false religions and false denominations.

Oh, I see. I don't "care about Jesus" because I don't listen to you, huh?
You have no answers because you simply cannot defend your position, and that frustrates you.
You accused me of being a hypocrite. But about nothing. I do not have to defend against something
that is just a word with no meaning. It is like a wet sponge, thanks for the refreshment,

And now you say I'm not a Christian?
You really are a piece of Pharisaic work. "Oh Lord, I thank Thee that I am not like these sinners...!"
I compared your behaviour to non-christians accusing believers of Jesus not changing lives.
It is exactly the same. It is up to you and others to draw their own conclusions about
unbelief and cynicism.

I am not Pharisee because I am not a legalist, but someone who believes in Christ dwelling in a purified
cleansed heart. If you do not know the difference biblically and spiritually, nothing I can do to help, sorry
it is a spiritual reality, that only God can resolve

You remind me of a kid having a temper tantrum and trying to hit as hard as they can, but just failing
totally and need to be put alone in a room to calm down. God bless you, it will soon pass.

What spoke to me was the woman caught in adultery. Jesus understood the emotional positions of
everyone and what was at stake. Do we have the right to judge another?
Do we care for the person we judge or just to prove ourselves right?
Understanding it all, and knowing God, Jesus is true freedom.
Oh wow, you don't know we are supposed to make righteous judgments, non hypocritical judgments.

Typical straw man argument. You are not fooling me or any of my brothers and sisters in Christ on Christian Chat with your perverted gospel of works salvation. So which false religion or false denomination are you associated with?

Yep. And he just backed himself into a corner.
Amen! Those who believe they live a sinless, without fault or defect, flawless, absolute perfect life 100% of the time (exactly as Jesus lived) are suffering from a terminal case of self righteousness. (1 John 1:8-10) :cautious:
