I have to be honest , the trial I am going through with my son , if I allowed my emotions as his mother get in the way of what God is revealing to me , I would not be doing as God said to do " Be still "
I have been down this same road with my son , and went through it letting my emotions as his mum get in the way instead of trusting God , our emotions are not reliable...

My love and care I have for my son are worldly , compared to Gods love and care , so I leave it in Gods hands and love my son and care for him as God is loving and caring for me , we are to follow our LORD , not our emotions...

Sorry for harping on about this , some days I am an emotional wreck lol...xox...
Hi Rose,

You are doing very well, God bless you.
Your emotions in God, knowing His truth, His power, letting yourself rest in Him, overwhelm
the emotions of the world and put them in their place.

I suppose what we mean by emotions in this context, as being a mum etc. are feelings that
come naturally. But the Lord is declaring through the cross we can see Gods love and let
that flow naturally into our hearts to bring balance.

What I am trying to say is we do not need to repress our hearts and our natural emotions but
bring them into the context of Christ and His love, responsibility, care, peace, grace, the gifts of the
Holy Spirit.

I suppose it is like by lifting our hearts in praise to God in a difficult time, we are lifting up
rejoicing in Him above the situation, so our hearts know this victory no matter what faces us.
This is how the christians could praise God while being thrown to the lions, because in Him we
have our rescue.

By establishing our emotional foundation in Christ, our other overwhelming feelings fall into
place, because they cannot defeat His work in our lives. The more we rest and dwell in Him the
stronger this focus becomes and more other things find their place.

God bless you.

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
Col 3:15

29 And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it.
30 For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them.
31 But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.
Luke 12:29-31

4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Phil 4:4-6

Exercising faith brings peace to our hearts, singing songs of great joy in tumult calms our raging seas.

1 I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.
2 My soul will boast in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice.
3 Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together.
Psalm 34:1-3

In terror would I live unless God provided me with His peace, for to know the world and
see the trouble it brings, only the Lords love is big enough to conquer all around and bring
peace, Amen.

27 You save the humble but bring low those whose eyes are haughty.
28 You, O LORD, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.
29 With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall.
Psalm 18:27-29

Far to many people think emotions should rule us.. When in reality, most times, they are decieving us as to what is reality
I think so also...Emotions lie to us...
If my emotions are true to Gods word , then I know my emotions are in the right place , after all , God gave us tears to cry , and tears to rejoice...

I remember before I was saved , I would watch T,V and cry over the scenes in a soap opera , and yet things going on around me in the world did not move me...

I know why I cry over my son , God collects them tears , if I cried over reality T,V he would not lol...

God gave us emotions for His sake , to laugh , cry and rejoice in Him...All the glory to God I say ...xox...

Amen,

Jesus showed emotion at Lazarus Death (jesus wept)

He showed emotion at his prayer (sweated blood)

nothing wrong with emotions

Its when we use emotions to interpret the word or think all emotional feelings are spiritual

So your sinless??

Then why do people have to repent after they are saved if they are sinless??
He is the only one who called grace servants legalists also.
"Ye have not yet resisted onto blood striving against sin" Heb 12:4
"Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;.." Heb 12:14-15

I am amazed at how many false religionists believe they actually keep the law eve though it is as clear as a bell per Romans 3 that the LAW DEEMS all guilty........they are as deluded as a pack of Kool Aid mixed with 4 times as much water as needed...........that which deems GUILT is beyond the ability of men to keep and exactly why the righteousness of CHRIST without the deeds and works of the LAW must be imputed by faith.....JESUS is the ONLY MAN to ever keep it.......and all others are liars....!
Jesus is our example..He proved that man, indwelt by the Holy spirit, need not sin. What a glorious salvation is this actual (not OSAS make believe) salvation. What a wonderful thing to realize that when bitterness, or impatience, or ___________________ wells up, a born again does not need to have an "oh well", or excuse, or whatever because that sin has no wage and God doesn't take THAT sin seriously, BUT rather is thankful to realize that He can and must go to Jesus in repentance and be forgiven of that sin.......and there is actual (not OSAS make believe peace and Joy) peace and joy in Jesus.

You will notice how "grace servants" become the most legalistic people in the world and
condemners of all as sinners, while not being able to specify the sin involved.

This always makes me laugh, how they are the worst OCD point pickers, because if anyone
actually walked in love and righteousness for 1 second their whole theology falls apart.

Emotional motivation truly makes sense of their logic. They care nothing for the truth,
just to prove no one can walk in Holiness and purity, because if you can, then so can they
and thereby are in rebellion against God, wilful sin without repentance.

So make no mistake these people are not what they seem, and their barbs and thistles
are very real. It is also why they can only sustain such a position by denying the cross and
its power and fulfilment to purify and make whole the believer in Christ.

Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that
contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
2 Cor 7:1

12 It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled,
upright
and godly lives in this present age,
13 while we wait for the blessed hope--the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,
14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people
that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
Titus 2:12-14

These verses are very clear. We are to purify ourselves, to live self controlled, upright and godly
lives. These are not words of defeat but victory, overcoming in Christ, believing and knowing
His victory in our hearts, Amen.

There are people who claim to be christians , and there are people who are really christians , saved by Gods Amazing grace...

God knows His , He knows His chosen ones , and He knows those who claim to be but are not...
If we could lose our salvation we would , but thank God He is the keeper of our precious souls...
I know I am carved on the palms of His hands , and no insecure believer or any dark matter can separate me from His love , for He chose me before the foundation of the world , all the glory to God Amen...xox...

Your hope could only be in SELF. It certainly would not be in GOD

I still have to wonder

Why would God give ETERNAL life to someone in his omniscience he KNOWS he will have to take back later when he screws up?

Can God be deceived?

This is a good question. And the answer is if you desire to know Jesus and walk in His ways,
the Lord is alive in you. Many back slide, lose focus, get distracted, yet finally something takes
root and the word starts to grow, bringing fruit.

Life unfortunately is complex. I know a brother who for 7 months would not forgive, and it
separated him from God, yet in the end he relented, forgave and was restored.
Interestingly his faith stayed strong, it was not giving up something fundamental to who he
was that was a block to God moving further. And all of us have such issues, which until the
appear we are not aware of, so but by the grace of God go I.

I agree...It would make Him a liar...xox...
Amen,

Decieved because he did nto know the person would not live up to whatever standard forcing him to take back his gift

And a liar, because he gave something he called eternal. Which was not eternal.

I do agree with you.
What I have learnt is some will jump up and oppose one for their own reasons, and appear
to know the King, yet be stuck in a way.

The more one sees Jesus the deeper one goes, it becomes less possible to walk away.
If you walk in the daylight and see as He sees, why would such things change so you
abandon the Lord of All. But I also know if everything was stripped away, it would be
very hard, to see the Lord blessing through such things. But then as the Lord gives He
also takes away.

The great thing I see in Jesus is the cross, the infinite statement of commitment and love
to us that transcends history and modern technology and speaks to my heart like nothing
else can. Praise the Lord He is our saviour, Amen.

This statement assumes that eternal life is a thing given to people in the present and not a promise
of eternal life in the future.

God only promises cause and effect. While we walk His way and believe in Him we have life in the
future, and eternal life when we meet Him.

For God to give eternal life to those in rebellion against Him would deny His justice and nature.
So which does God mean in the gospels? Something that goes against His nature or life for those
who sow to His ways and who believe in Him to the last?

Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.
2 Tim 2:19

What is clear to me is once someone has gone over the threshold of believing God denies His nature
and declared justice, there is no coming back, unless they start believing Gods word and promises and
not their own desires for an easy life, and security without cost.

AMEN..........All delusions.......

a. I don't sin (Noone who is in Christ goes around claiming they have no sin, neither do they claim the wages of sin for any individual no longer exist as those who believe OSAS do. John said do not sin (I believe John). And he said IF any man sin (he was not leaving an impression of WHEN you sin like OSAS would like to believe). John said By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep his commandments (i.e. don't sin). Keeping Gods commandments means not sinning. Anyone who uses words and ideas that make others comfortable in continued sin is a mouthpiece of Satan.
b. I am so righteous I help maintain salvation (There is salvation only in Christ and that salvation Christ gives includes the Holy Spirit power to not sin and to hate sin....remember the mindset of Jesus includes hatred of sin...and we are admonished to LET this mind be in you which is in Christ Jesus. And always keep in mind one does that which he loves and not what he hates, and paul said there is perfect victory over sin when we walk in the spirit. Of course! how else could it be.)
c. I can lose salvation by what I do or don't do ( you bet you can lose salvation by what you do or don't do....the bible is replete with warnings to watch and pray, etc)
d. I must help JESUS keep me saved (the truth is you have nothing in you that can "help"...but you can do something, choose something ...and that is through faith, consent...LET Jesus do it)
e. I bear fruit instantly (don't even know what that means, but will say one does have a continuous yes Lord attitude and seeks to tell the good news and is helpful wherever, etc)
f. I need numerous things like works, immersion, speaking in some mumbo jumbo to be saved (Salvation is in Christ...seems when one tells the truth re salvation, the OSAS folks can only spout this sort of mumbo jumbo.. as the following shows LOL)

etc.....The list of the religionists and Cainologists is LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONGGGGGGGGG and false too boot!!
