covenant theology has never said it replaces Israel... it teaches that the church was hidden within Israel, & only through Christ, are men made a new creation... a circumcision of the spirit, not the flesh...

it's Christian Zionism that splits the church & Israel into 2 seperate groups, 2 different paths, two different ways of salvation , & worships Israel rather than God... replacement theology?... it's Christian Zionism that replaces Yahweh God w/ the nation of Israel. if anything, Christian Zionism/Dispensationalism is replacement theology.
and christian/politcal/temporal zionism is just about the most antisemitic teaching there is....just share the Gospel with the jews!!

covenant theology teaches the gentiles are co-heirs within the commonwealth of SPIRITUAL ISRAEL, Jesus being the Ultimate and True Israel, the Seed of Abraham (singular).

I think I'll leave the scripture in, along with it's appropriate interpretation. You should do the same and just rip out Cyrus' notes. Voila... cancer-free eschatology.

thank you.

Are you willing to say that Jesus possessed Titus at that point in time, and caused Titus to come to Jerusalem?
OF COURSE THE LORD CAUSED TITUS TO DO WHAT HE DID!!!!!!

GOD MAKES ALL THINGS HAPPEN.
DID HE HAVE TO "POSSESS" PHARAOH TO MAKE HIM LET THE PEOPLE GO?

DOD GOD HAVE TO "POSSESS" JUDAS TO MAKE HIM BETRAY THE LORD?

GOD CAUSED TITUS CARRY OUT THE DECREE...THE CONSUMMATION OF THE DESOLATION OF THE TEMPLE MOUNT.

you thinking is warped.

Jesus is NOT the one that will stop the daily sacrifices. In fact, to show you how TOTALLY SILLY your argument is, the daily sacrifices continued for about 70 years AFTER Jesus rose from the dead. It was NOT Jesus that stopped them, it was TITUS and the Roman army.

AND.......God is not in control over what Titus does?

LUCKY BREAK God caught that Titus JUST HAPPENED to plow jerusalem under as God had hoped. WHEW! lucky break there, or History might have taken a different turn. GEE! God pulled another one off by the skin of his teeth.

let's try one.....more........time:

Daniel 9:24
Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

1) To finish the transgression;
2) To make an end of sins;
3) To make reconciliation for iniquity;
4) To bring in everlasting righteousness;
5) To seal the vision and the prophecy;
6) To anoint the Most Holy.

DAN 9:27
And he (Jesus) shall confirm the covenant (Rom 15:8) with many for one week (70th): and in the midst of the week he (Jesus) shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease (by the Cross), and for the overspreading of abominations (of the Temple cult and the Romans) he shall make it (the Temple) desolate, even until the consummation (70AD destruction), and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate (the Temple torn down, not one stone standing upon another).

see the part in red?
it was not part of the 70weeks.
it was included in the passage because it was part of what was determined upon thy holy city,

Zone,

Can the sarcasm please and just communicate what you have to say. You get into these moods and get so frivolous and flippant with your comments. We all have a capacity to learn and some are not so quick to utter what they know.
i've communicated clearly for over a year here.

There is a HUGE difference in Titus doing it, and JESUS doing it. The truth is, TITUS did it. And that is what is written: "the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city." There is simply NO WAY good exegesis can warp this into Jesus. Simply impossible.

DOD GOD HAVE TO "POSSESS" JUDAS TO MAKE HIM BETRAY THE LORD?
Satan possessed Judas.

GOD CAUSED TITUS CARRY OUT THE DECREE...THE CONSUMMATION OF THE DESOLATION OF THE TEMPLE MOUNT.

you thinking is warped.
"the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city."

Now will you say that the Roman soldiers were Jesus' people? Now warped your thinking is! NO, the Roman Soldiers were TITUS's men. That verse is speaking of TITUS, and the Romans with him, NOT Jesus. And verse 27: "he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week" therefore cannot possibly refer to Jesus either. It refers to a man JUST LIKE Titus, that is the leader of people living in the same land area as the ancient Roman Empire. He will be the "prince" of an army just like Titus's army. Believe it, for it is truth.

Dear lecoop, Scriptures, please for the following pretribulation teachings.

The second coming of Christ is in 2 phases, the first one secret, the second second coming public.
The first second coming occurs 7 years before the end of the tribulation, the second second coming occurs seven years after the first second coming. Thus, there are three comings of Christ.
There is not just one second coming.
Where do you get these false, man-made doctrines, lecoop? All of this is not only nowhere in any Bible I have read, it also doesn't make any sense. The don't call it THE SECOND coming of Christ for nothing!
Not 2 phase second coming, or 3 comings of Christ. Why divide what Christ has united? The rapture (moving of saints of Christ into the air) and resurrection of Christians and the second coming of Christ at the end of the age occur at the same time. No room for a secret rapture 7 years before the end of the world.

I want to see SIMPLICITY. I speak fairly good English and I speak it clearly, with some spelling errors at times. You will never have to guess where I am coming from and it will always be in the simplest of terms. It is not clogged with information that is not relevant or lofty and it will always have it basis and understanding according to the objectivity of the scriptures with a practical application when needed. I have read some of your posts where you have communicated in this manner and I wish that you would continue to do so. I am not perfect and no one here expects perfection from any poster, but in a manner that it can be followed with understanding and have opportunity to be responded to. That's all.

You have a bible to read. Why not read it yourself? But do take off those preconceived glasses.
Do you see how silly the previous writer was, thinking the verse in Mat. 24 was the rapture? If there was every a "man made" doctrine, it would be calling that verse in Matt 24 the rapture of the church. And you think that makes sense - the rapture gathering from HEAVEN?

I don't care what "THEY" call it. What does the BIBLE call it? In 1 Thes. 4, Paul calls it a COMING. "we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep."

But when is this coming? Read the next chapter and find out. It is certainly not the Rev 19 coming. You have a serious problem with proper exegesis.

If you wish to tribulate, go ahead, but God will CERTAINLY hold you responsible if your false teaching causes someone to be left behind, and they give in to the mark. Jesus is coming pretrib for the Bride of Christ, whether you believe it or not. I wonder what you will be doing when you know you have been left behind? And you know it was because you would not rightly divide the word of Truth. I sure would not wish to be in your shoes.

Do you realize the character our God would have to have, to fulfill your theories? Certainly, SATAN wishes for all to be left behind, because he is convinced that many saints will take the mark, and be doomed forever. But you are putting this kind of character onto our God! What kind of God do you think we serve? It is NOT his wish that any one of His church get put into a position of losing their head or taking the mark to save it. It is ONLY THE DEVIL that delights in putting that kind of pressure on people. And you think our God has that kind of character? You simply amaze me.

Here is a prophecy given recently, by Jesus:

He is still saying what He said in His word:

"All will know soon how very close the time is. I will give you direction. You will know what I require of you. All will happen soon. Everything is in the works. I have been patient with My people, but the time has come to soon make our departure. The world will realize how soon it is coming.

Many things will change for those left behind. It will be their worst nightmare. I am sad for those who will be left, but this is their choice, not mine. My choice is for them to come with Me, but they have freewill to come or stay. They are invited, but I will not force them. The choice is theirs to make. Why choose death? This is My question. My Spirit calls them. I cannot do this for them—they must choose. I can wait long suffering; I can invite; I can plead; I can encourage; I can argue my position—but I won’t force. No one is forced. They must decide.

Dear Coop, In Revelation, St. John writes, "These things must shortly come to pass."
Well, it has been 2000 years, and if these things John wrote about did not shortly come to pass when John was writing about them around 64 AD it, the Book of Revelation, doesn't make much sense. But if Revelation is a prophecy of the destruction of the Jewish temple in 70 AD, and if St. John was writing from Patmos sometime before 70 AD, in the 60s AD, then the whole book begins to make some sense. If John was being persecuted by Nero, and Nero is the beast of Revelation 13:18, Revelation can be understood. To make most of the book in OUR FUTURE makes LITTLE SENSE if St. John was NOT LYING when he wrote, "THE TIME IS AT HAND", and the things he was prophesying must "shortly come to pass", that is, they came to pass and were fulfilled in John's own times, NOT IN OUR OWN DAYS. You have not proven the Book of Revelation was meant to be fulfilled TODAY or TOMORROW. IT IS YOUR ASSUMPTION. Nothing in the text itself demands or justifies that view. It is your presupposition. or do you just pick and choose which scriptures you will obey?

My guess is, you got from born again to where you are now, by SKIPPING Acts 1 and 2. That fact is made very plain by your posts.

May I suggest you go back to Acts 1 and 2, and stay there until you receive what God has for you?

How do we prove or test a prophecy? One way is to see if it comes to pass. But that could take a while. Another way is to see if it lines up with the written word of God.

Therefore, if you are having difficulty believing this prophecy is from God, then PROVE it is false by scripture.

May I suggest, when this is all over with, that you take this complaint to Jesus. You should know that "shortly" to a God that is from everlasting to everlasting may mean something different to Him than to you? Who knows how many thouands, or millions, or billions of earth-years He waited after creating the universe to create Adam.

Certainly it does make sense, if you consider that shortly to God may mean 2000 years. After all, one day is as a thousand, and a thousand as one to Him. He lives outside the dimension of time. However, chew on this for a while: some of the old sages of Israel believe that Adam was given a 6000 year lease on this planet, to correspond to the 6 days of creation. And the 7th day of creation corresponds to the 1000 years of rest during Jesus' millennial kingdom.

You will find it VERY HARD to prove that Revelation was not written about 95 AD, where church history has it. And, in fact, nothing in the book really fits what happened in 70 AD.

Next, you will find it EXTREMELY difficult to find the events of the 7 trumpets, and the 7 vials somewhere in history. When you compare the amazing accuracy of the prophecies concerning the coming Messiah, and how Jesus fulfilled them, why would you suppose these prophecies then would be so "sloppy?" I just won't believe it. I think we are now between the 5th and 6th seal, waiting on the rapture of the church, which will be the trigger for the Day of the Lord and the 70th week. And when it begins to unfold, it will be VERY CLOSE to what is written, just as the prophecies concerning the Messiah were.

Can you find anywhere in the bible where God FORCES anyone to become a Christian? Did not God give us all a free will? Did not Jesus warn that one would be taken and one left? Did He not show in both Daniel and Revelation that the day will come when the Beast Antichrist will OVERCOME the saints? When someone is forced to watch as their child loses their head, or the child is forced to see their parents lose their head, is that not a "nightmare?"

I have one verse for you:

1 Thessalonians 5:20
Despise not prophesyings.

But perhaps you need more:

1 Corinthians 12:28
And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets.....
thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

Ephesians 4:11
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

It is the will of God and the plan of God that every body of believers (local churches) have the ministry of the prophet just as much as the ministry of the teacher and pastor.

However, most of the church in the US chose to BYPASS Acts 1 and 2, and so do things their OWN way. No wonder the church is in such a mess today.

The bible (and proper) response to a prophecy is to LISTEN and then to judge by the written word of God. So if you think that is not from God, then prove it is wrong by the word of God.
