Welp this thread went from a tongues thread to a salvation by water through the hands of man thread
I am new to this forum. I would like to know how to divert to another thread when someone asks a question that is not specific to the current thread topic?
Is there an easy way for those of us who are not totally familiar with how to navigate throughout the website?

Please explain how you pasted the thread link in this page?

you go to the article, thread, page whatever you want to link to...copy the web address with your mouse (lefy click)

then come back to your post, write the words you want highlighted, (like I did the name of your thread), then highlight
them with your mouse (right click and hold) and then from the link symbol up above, kind of like an 'eternity' symbol
in the middle there, click on it, and then paste the web address where it says url, and then insert

if you that correctly, you will have what you saw in my post

you might have to try it a couple of times if you are not sure about it :)

1. you can search for what you want...up top by the menu where it says 'search forums' and when you get there, just type
in the perimeters

2. you can also go to your own profile if you just want to look up your own posts and from the drop down menu, select
'my content' and take it from there

3. if you really want to do some hard work, go to the pages before the current one and just do a physical search .. with your eyes...
for what you want o_O

I've been gone a few days and had about 25 pages to catch up on. Lots of arguing. I admit I resorted to briefly scanning.

Does anyone have an honest question that they need/want answered regarding how to get tongues, prophesying, etc, or how to properly use them?

Love in Jesus,

Good morning, my questions are still unanswered. Why we cant find this teaching, that speaking in tongues is the proof to be filled with the spirit/ baptised with the Holy spirit not taught to believers in the NT and churchhistory, till around 1900 ad?
Why teaches Paul clear that not all christians will get the Gift of speaking in tongues( 1. Cor.12,30).?
Have a blessed Day.

It would seem that if we cannot agree to what it confirms as sign of "unbelief"(no faith) or belief(faith) , as prophecy after the manner of tongues one of the many divers manners. Then how could we build on it as doctrine? I say tongues is a manner of prophecy that God used for a short period of time .Up until the last revelation after any manner to include tongues or water baptism (No sign gifts) . We have the witness of the Spirit in us not of us .Need more? Shout out the gospel there always room for more. ?

Once we decide what the sign confirm the rest of the doctrine falls into place. And yet for all that those who have "no faith" remain in un-belief.

The possibility of adding even one word to the Bible has been sealed off till the end of time with 7 seals ..Do we need to widen that authority of God's word and develop our own new source of faith as in have you ever been experienced ?

Isaiah 28:12To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

1 Corinthians 14:21In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.

Same kind of unbelief (no faith) below.

Jeremiah 44:16-18 King James Version (KJV) As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the Lord, we will not hearken unto thee. But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.

I would offer it cannot as a sign confirm both a curse and a blessing. Which master?

Can you show me where the word "Trinity" is in the Bible and I will show where the initial evidence teaching is in the Book of Acts?

Thank you.

Your welcome😊
There is no teaching in acts. There is something what you teach out of acts. That there is a trinity, you find in several books of the bible(without useing this word of course) Your teaching is a man made doctrine which cant find in any biblical book taught to believers, nor you can find in churchhistory.

1. It is noteworthy that Paul said that both tongues and prophesy would cease. So why focus on that which was to cease? There are a total of 23 gifts of the Spirit.

2. It is also noteworthy that out of all the epistles, there is only one which addresses PROBLEMS with the gift of tongues within the local church. If this was a critical doctrine, we would find it in almost every epistle, would we not?

Btw, this particular teaching is made so important for christian life, that some claim you are not a real christian if you dont have it, others claim this is the proof to got the Holy Spirit and others claim that you are even not saved if you dont have it. If this teaching would be true, then it wonders me that you cant find this important teaching anywhere till 1900.

The point is as you know, the word Trinity is not in the Bible. it is a theological CONCEPT BY WHICH IS SEEN IN THE WORD OF GOD. tO MY OTHER POINT, The term " Initial evidence" in context to the Baptism in the Holy Spirit too is seen in the Word of God. Now please take your insults somewhere else. You do not know church history, you do not know where to find in the word of God the teaching to say are man-made. Thank you.

I have seen the question asked I have not seen the statement made. That being said, the motives to interject someone else comments, and try to tie into my comments because lacking the ability to refute the Biblical position is wrong. The person brought it up and fully knows I would never say that. So why bring it up? Red Herring and Strawman.

It does not matter if it was or not really, Was just trying to show you that someone a few have, but that is beside the point and not the point you were trying to make anyway.

I agree 100% with you. The comment made to you was uncalled for and nonsensical. Because you have never said such, and pretty much everyone here knows that fact.
