Hmm, I can't love anyone who'd torture me if I didn't.

You know what I mean?

First of all, are you persuaded that Jesus loves you?

I want to believe that even if you are not able to love, Jesus will help you love him

Grateful that someone was tortured & everyone's pain piled upon them, then killed?

Sounds pretty sadistic to me, but what do I know.
Apparently you don't know or understand the importance of salvation, repentance, and sanctification. Yes, I am extremely grateful that Jesus has forgiven my sins and cancelling my debt by willingly shedding His precious blood on the cross, and for the Holy Spirit comforting and guiding me in the life-long repentance process leading to sanctification.

Good can remove from you the spiritual heart that is incapable of love, and he can give you a spiritual heart that can love God

I want you to try this

Do your best to believe in God and ask God to help you believe, to increase your ability to believe

Believe that God is also helping you to believe

And thank him for this opportunity to believe

I want you to believe that God is listening when you say these words "God, I'm not perfect, forgive my imperfections, thank you, and help me believe"

Do you have children? What would you go thru for them if it meant they would live instead of die?

I have a handicapped son and I can tell you.......I was a Marine in the 80's and I would endure the unendurable and even lay my life down in a New York second to defend him, save him, protect him because of my love for that little man.........and the absolute truth....MY love for him is akin to NOTHING compared to the LOVE GOD has for us.....and that is exactly why he went through a living HELL for us........and an even deeper truth......we do not deserve a damn thing but death!!!!!!!! And I hope all that read this are not offended at the bolded word.....it is for emphasis and is also in the BIBLE......

Better question, how can Jesus love anyone who tortured him on the cross, and forgive those who tortured him, how is that possible?

This ability to love, you are not able to love like that, yet he is able to love like that.

"Let us be ever mindful, it is not a necessity to be obligated to defend ones belief or faith
in the teachings or principles of Christ our Lord God. The 'adversary' has many 'faces' and
personalities to bring cause of division and diversity within the scared circle of God's love...
one should not allow the circle of love to be marred by adverse conditions of contemptuous
attitudes of behavior in aggressive or challenging personalities.".......:)

I will pray that His Love and mercy are revealed to You. He will not be mocked, and He loves you very much. I recommend you ask for true faith, that He come and dwell within, realizing you need Him, giving your life to Him. I think it important to realize our ways are not His and leaning on your own understanding, on any man's understanding of Him is futile. Take it up with Him, He is the ONLY way, the truth and the life.

I want to believe that even if you are not able to love, Jesus will help you love him
Why? Would you really love someone who'd ultimately hurt you if you didn't?
