Hi al
If it's in the bible it is to be understood by men otherwise it would be illogical not to.

The promise to Abraham and his seed was the ''land inheritance'' So irrespective of the word heaven...which can refer to the sky etc....No one flies away to heaven or to put it another way after dying lives on in a place outside of earth. No one is in some place skipping and holding hands with Jesus floating on fluffy clouds surrounded by rainbows.

We are promised the land inheritance after the resurrection, Until then if you die you are dead.
Just one example

Daniel 12v13 “As for you, go your way till the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance.”

No one has ascended to heaven except the son of man..

Acts 2v29 Fellow Israelites, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day.

v34 For David did not ascend to heaven,
Until I was 25 I would occasionallly look into the Bible, but I could not read more than a line or two, with no understanding an it was jibberish to me.

I was a languge and linguistics major at the U of Il. and though fairly well read in English I was even more well read in French Literature. I was on the dean's list, so my achievement was somewhat excellent.

Oneday after an experience I hve recounted here on more than one occasion, the Holy Spirit entered into me. I was led to a turned down open book , blue, in the back room of a coffee house, to which I had been led by the Hoy Spirit. I picked up the open book and began to read. The words were alive and everything had me saying, this is true, oh this is true.

Lokking at the top of the pages it was the Book of Isaiah in the Oxford Study Bible. I could hardly put it down. The following day I bought an edition for me and read it constatly for three years, shasring with any and all the wonder I ws given of it.

Do not attmpt tomake anything logical about God or His Word, Jesus, unless you already have received dthe Holy Spirit for you can not. Upon receiving the Holy Spirit you will understand just how futile such a quest would be.

YHWH Himself says of Himself:

I the LORD search the heart, and try the reins
(Jeremiah 17:10)

guess what Jesus Christ Himself says of Himself?

I am He which search the reins and hearts
(Revelation 2:23)

there's a clear indication in both texts that there is only one, singular, person who does this

For a clearer statement about who Jesus was. Read verse 30.

John 10 NIV. No one can snatch them out of My hand
22 Then came the Festival of Dedication at Jerusalem. It was winter, 23 and Jesus was in the temple courts walking in Solomon’s Colonnade. 24 The Jews who were there gathered around him, saying, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.”
25 Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me, 26 but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”

Jesus was 100% man and 100% God!!

Acording to Job 9: 33-34. God who has no beginning of Spirit life He is not a man as us and neither is there any fleshly man as a mediator to stand between God and man as a infallible umpire (daysman) . Even the Son of man, Jesus refused to stand in the holy place of the father and desecrate it.

This I believe help us understand no man can serve two masters. 1# the things the temporal flesh and 2# that not seen the eternal Spirit . He gives us a 20/20 prescription so we can rightly divide the parables that without he spoke not.

The one time promised demonstration (Isaiah 53) using flesh is over. Some did know him after the flesh like faithless Thomas but never again .The veil is rent, the reformation had come we are in the lasts days that began at the renting of the veil.

The basic problem with your assertions is Jesus was God incarnate.

Jesus as the Son of man (the temporal) represented by his corrupted flesh and blood in which he declared could not profit.(impossible)

In all cases the prescription 2 Corinthians 4:18 must be applied so that we can walk by faith the eternal . The temporal seen reveals the unseen spiritual. A product of the parables as that which hides and reveals the will of our unseen God , called the "signified" language of God in revelation 1:1

Jesus as the Son of God is God .

Jesus as the Son of man refused to be called God not seen. He would never stand in the holy place unseen as a abomination of desecration. It is reserved for God or you could say the father .In that way we are to call no man on earth teacher as a infallible mediator as the same, call no man on earth father. Our God typified by our father, alone is our infallible teacher in heaven We abide in the father as we walk by faith (the unseen eternal)

Matthew 19:17And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Jesus was not reckoned as the Son of God with power until the ressurection not from birth in e respect to his corrupted flesh and blood. It was that in which the Father poured out his unseen eternal Spirit . Something that the law could not do. Two working together in order to establish the peace of God that surpasses al human understanding. . Isaiah 53

It was a picture of the father pouring out his wrath on the Son. There is no such thing as holiness of corrupted flesh . (a Catholic tradition) God remains without mother and father beginning of Spirit life or end thereof.

Romans 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the "likeness" of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

Jesus, Who is God, was flesh and not God for a timejust for all who believe to be saved. Otherwise He would not have told Mary not to touch Him for He was not yet florified. That, after He was risen from the dead. He knows all of our sin and temptations, and He overcame all for you and for me.

He is the Alpha and the Omega.

He was in the beginning with God and He was God.

As He proclaims in the Old Testament and in the New, He is our HUsband, He is our KIng, He is our Redeemer. He said this in the person of Yahweh in th eOT

He gave an outright explanation as to Who He is in Isaiah 9;6, however this is not good enough fo most sectarians who cannot swallow they do not understand what will remain a mystery until all is revealed. Becaue I believe God, I believe Who He is, never claiming to understand the mystery of it, burt I have no dread or compunction in addressing Jesus as my Eternal Father, and lsaying the amen in the name of Jesus the Son........if you have second thoughts perhaps reading more on the above references will help but with prayer and meditation. I speak of myown paraphrased references.....you will find it throughout the Bible. God bless all.

This is not Christ denying that He is God, else it would be Christ denying that He is good, and you would make Him a liar when He says He is the Good Shepherd.

It is, rather, confirming that He is good, and evidence that He is God, and a challenge to this young man to put the facts together and confess Who Jesus really is.

Neither is it Christ refusing worship, because in many other places He was openly worshipped and never rebuked those who supplicated before Him. Therefore if it were, we would make Him duplicitous, but it cannot be, because in Him there is no sin and no shadow of turning.

Hmm thought Christ was the son of God, and you missed out the 'son' part.

But yea.

What about 1 timothy 2:5-6

Jesus has many names in the Bible. Keep in mind he stated:

John 10 NIV
Further Conflict Over Jesus’ Claims
22 Then came the Festival of Dedication at Jerusalem. It was winter, 23 and Jesus was in the temple courts walking in Solomon’s Colonnade. 24 The Jews who were there gathered around him, saying, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.”

for one is God, one also is mediator of God and of men, the man Christ Jesus
(1 Timothy 2:5)

John 1 is one of my favorite sections of the Bible. It makes it clear who Jesus is.
yes

And the Word became flesh, and did tabernacle among us, and we beheld His glory,
glory as of an only begotten of a father, full of grace and truth.
(John 1:13)
His glory --

I am YHVH, that is My name; I will not give My glory to another
(Isaiah 42:8)
glorify Me, Thou Father, with Thyself, with the glory that I had before the world was, with Thee
(John 17:5)
the glory of the Father is not shared with anyone or anything -- yet the Son shared it with Him before anything ever came to be
and the Christ says to the Father, "
glorify Me with Thyself"

Christ is God

Philippians
2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth;
2:11 And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
