You will find them in the previous chapter:What are the seven pillars of wisdom in Proverbs 9:1?
Never a good idea to mix your drinks.Proverbs 9:2
She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table.
Proverbs 9: 5
Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.
What does mingled her wine mean?
The Hebrews diluted their fermented (and unfermented) wines with water. Metaphorically, Wisdom is personified here, and what She is saying that the words of wisdom in Proverbs are to be meditated upon and applied progressively (thus mingled with water). What does mingled her wine mean?
It’s similar to one born from above marrying one wicked..Mingled their wine is mixing spirits.
So I just read an article that stated the word spirit is not actually in the original text, and that spirit simply meant breath, airflow, air etc?Mingled their wine is mixing spirits.
I was just stating how mingled spirits would occur. I didn’t look at the text. But, killing her beasts would be good if beasts mean the fallen nature. Am thinking of the phrase, the nature of the beast. It’s always a negative remark.
Right now I have enough to handle with your other thread. Lol. You certainly bring life to the forums.![]()
