Perverting the gospel by teaching salvation by works is not obedience and continuing to return back to Christian Chat under a different avatar name after being banned (against forum rules) is also not obedience. You are not fooling me for one second. :cautious:

Do I think we will? yes, I do. the end result will always produce the same as it did in the Book of Acts.

Salvation
healing
church growth
Glory to God
edifying
Interesting list.

Salvation without a doubt since the Holy Spirit is an essential part in effecting the new birth in concert with the word of God.

Healing is a bit more questionable since you may be referring to physical healing and not healing the soul of sin. Not all are healed physically but all must have the mortal wound of sin erased.

Church growth is a bit more questionable. Physical church growth can be accomplished in the strength of men and charismatic persons. Real church is invisible and solely the province of Christ. Christ is building His church and the gates of hades cannot prevail against it.

Glory to God. All things and people glorify God. Some by obedience and others in their destruction.

Edifying. Done through the word of God the Holy Spirit edifies and comforts as we endure tribulation and afflictions in the name of our Savior.

This is what happened in Acts and is happening to this day.

For the cause of Christ

So you think I preach a legalistic, Works based. Self righteous gospel of me trying to save myself by my obedience (A pharisee)

You can not even understand that the author of Hebrews wrote clearly, that we are positionaly made PERFECT in Christ (Paul called it the righteousness of Christ in us, Or in legal terms, the word is JUSTIFIED) The same righteousness that was given to Abraham when he believed (see gen 15 with Rom 4) And that while we are positionally perfected IN CHRIST (not by our own deeds) we are in a lifelong process of being sanctified (Made into the image of Christ) were are formed and Shaped into that image of Christ, Where we are new creatures, Who learn true obedience which comes out of love, and not false humility based obedience which comes out of duty and fear, (ie, a pharisee)

I can ony pray you truly see salvation by Grace, Because what you preach does not add up to grace. As paul said. If it is grace it is NO LONGER Works, otherwise, grace is no longer grace and vice versa.

A few people here need to see that, And understand that just because people preach salvation by Grace through faith, does not mean they preach it is ok to sin, or be disobedient. But it continues. And I doubt people will be able to see that without intervention from God. And that saddens me
Simple question: Do you believe the heresy of sinless perfection?

I don't make threats. I follow through that is a fact. And the truth
I'm loathe to get in the middle of this thing, but I think a few things need to be said.

A good while back you said something along the lines to me of "I know you don't like me, so I don't care what you say". What I didn't like is that you indeed were constantly threatening people with some form of admin punishment, and worse, publicly. Some may have deserved it, but most just found themselves on an opposing side of an issue. Things get a little heated, and BAM!! The threat ensued. Not that it means much, but I actually DO like you. You have made me think in ways I may not have, and I thank you for that.

For whatever reason, you went away for a span. When you came back, for a long time, it looked like you were able to engage without the threats. That's when your thoughts really carried weight, and got interesting. Alas, it seems the old patterns have reemerged.

For instance, DC didn't call you a spade in the negative sense. He used a very common idiom. Not sure how you could have not known that.

Obviously just my own thoughts here, but it seems to me to be a little inappropriate for a mod, with ban powers to be so deeply engaged in such volatile topics. I don't see how a person can remain fair and unbiased. And that is nothing against you. I would feel the same whether a mod was on my side of an issue as well.

Lets see if pentecost is just some obsolete history of a once powerful God and church;
13 Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.

14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:

21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

So Joel frames the last days as moon into blood and the sun darkened...WHICH HAS NOT YET HAPPENED.
Peter framed pentecost in those same last days.
MEANING IT,PENTECOST,WILL CONTINUE UNTIL THE MOON TURNS TO BLOOD....
THE LAST DAYS.
Simply that was the event during Pentecost that happened in Acts 2 but not a Pentecostal movement of today.

I think we found out last night in one case it was done for the sole purpose of getting people to react.

Which is sad in and of itself. As it actually Gave certain people victory. Even if unwillingly

Who is he supposed to be? [P/QUOTE]
I believe it's me he's refering to but i just want to know what makes me special that you people would want to destroy or devour me? I am nothing compared to you as you think who I really am. So I'll make it easy for you, it is God who is the judge, not you, me or anyone else, I do hope it's clear and God bless you.

Its your message that is the issue, and your slander against others. (Saying we promote sin-fullness and decry obedience)

As for what mailmandad was saying, He and a few others seem to think you are a formerly banned member who once again is coming in under another name I can not says one way or the other.

As you say, God is judge. And if you are. The admin will judge,

If you are not then nothing to worry about.

Simple question

Yes I understand those terms.

I believe in the pardoning grace of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who has blotted out my sins in the sea of his forgetfulness. I do not believe I have the rightessness of Christ (sounds like sinless perfection to me) but am a sinner saved by grace.

I have the same view as Spurgeon who was "at a conference where a preacher taught perfectionism in an outspoken manner and even claimed to have reached a state of sinless perfection himself. Spurgeon didn’t challenge him on the spot. Instead, the next morning he poured a pitcher of milk over the man’s head, to which the ‘perfectionist’ responded with the kind of rage and hostility that you’d expect from any sinner. Perfectionism debunked."

However people describe salvation it is still only the first step in the Christians life, otherwise we would be seeing signs and wonders similar to Christ. Perhaps Jesus refrained from imputing those gifts to people who are still on the milk. I feel God has greater gifts to offer those who seek them.

This is confusing

You say Jesus has blotted your sins out. Yet you do not believe you have the righteousness of Christ?

Either your sins are forgiven, and you are perfect “IN HIM”

Or your still in your sin, Which means you are in a state of condemnation.

I do not think you understand positional righteosness, which is found in Christ

And conditional righteousness, Which is our status at any given moment.

No sin was found in Jesus. My righteousness is as filthy rags.

Is speaking in a unknow tongue prophecy that come from God? If its a unknown how could be a feast? How would you know its not poison as false doctrine?
Jesus said "my sheep hear/know my voice"
Knowing Jesus, fellowshipping with Him,spending time with Him,and walking in faith.
Ironically those with a mental, doctrinal MINDSET can not/will not, venture into intimacy with Jesus, and tirelessly plead with the wise virgins to stop that oil foolishness. It is the IRONY OF IRONIES.
Intimacy oil,and truth is reserved for the bride.
The bride has oil. The bride in mat 25 goes into the marrige chamber. The door is not left open. It is is immediately shut.
While the foolish scramble for oil (Holy Spirit) it becomes too late.

Get it now.

Get it,or get left out.

If you are afraid the devil will imitate Jesus and you can be deceived by this false Jesus and he can decieve you while you seek heaven, then you never read where Jesus takes the time to show you THAT CAN NOT HAPPEN.
Show me anyplace where that happened.
Show me paul or anyone in the NT laying hands on anyone to recieve the second blessing and the devil steps in,pushes God aside, and posseses that person.
Can't happen.
I know from experience.
See,you guys got an insurmountable problem.
You are trying to convince John.after patmos, that God dont do that vision or translation stuff anymore.

Yes

Thats why unless you have Jesus righteousness applied to your account, Your dead in your sin.

Remember the Animal which was sacrificed he became sin for the sinner so his righteousness could be passed on to the sinner (a replacement or substitute)

As paul said, he who knew no sin was made sin for us that we may become the “righteousness of Christ” in him.

It is not my righteousness which makes me perfect. My righteousness makes me guilty, It is Christ’s righteousness. ,

Refilled?.........scriptures in context that show such a thing as being REFILLED and UNFILLING.......
Lol
Mat 25 is a vivid, vivid picture of that.
It is hilarious reading the cunning modifications needed by cessationists to make oil and virgins into reinvented components that have virgins as sinners and oil as who knows what.

What do you think sampson LOST?

You're way off friend.

BINGO
You just framed your walk as an "account"
No intimate, personal one on one walk with Jesus.
Get the baptism in the Holy Spirit.
Jesus encouraged it.
You will never be the same.
No devil can stop it or make some fake Jesus appear in the midst of your quest.

You think some tavern has people praising God,and healing the sick, and worshipping in tongues?
People in these last days are more afraid of the Holy Spirit than the antichrist himself
" what if the devil steps on Jesus and invades my walk"
"What if the devil answers my prayer"
"What if the devil took John to heaven and that guy with the holes in his hands is a fake"
