I like it when someone is saying “Aww, you don’t look like 42!” They probably don’t mean it, but I comfort myself by thinking there was a reason why they said it lol.

Women like to be complimented on their looks. That's why some spend so much time and money on it.
Men like to be complimented on I'm not really sure! maybe intelligence, how much they have achieved?

Men generally want to be respected and usually want to avoid being embarrassed in the process.

Compliments honestly make me feel awkward depending on who is giving them.

I certainly like to be recognized for working hard, getting through challenges and things like that, but from particular people. Those that I’m close to.

Compliments that are work related or have to do with teaching are nice from my boss, parents of students or those I work with. It’s always encouraging or even a motivator to keep up the good work.

Compliments on looks from strangers make me uncomfortable. I have no idea why. Maybe I just like to go unnoticed?

I like getting compliments on my hair.

Compliments...hmm...I guess I like to be complimented but often feel they are not deserved. From time to time people will compliment me on being a good dad. Most times these people do not know me very well. I used to tell them "You don't see me at home." Now I'll thank them and try to change the subject.

If someone takes the time to get to know me or is willing to get together with me if I ask, now that can be a huge compliment.

When a friend contacts you and says "Let's get together and talk " that is a compliment.

Several months ago my cousin/ friend told someone about me. I don't know what she said but I was informed that she spoke very highly of me. Honestly, that scares me. I feel they put me up in a place that I do not belong.

Being asked by your boss to move into a higher position is a compliment.

Done rambling now.

Women like to be complimented on their physical appearance for sure lol ( I'm guilty)

Men like to be complemented on their achievements or status they thrive on acknowledgement in this aspect the most.

I wrote an essay in highschool. My teacher read it aloud in class. It was a compliment but I was embarrassed. I felt I was exposed. It was actually a mixed emotion. I was confused if I should feel embarrassed or proud. I am a true introvert. I don't like attention very much. Whether it is positive or negative.
