Just some questions I was asking myself this morning and thought I would share.

We are at war for the sake of? well, ALL in the end. Be we gentile or Israel. What if we aren't being tested on our beliefs at all but on our true self nature? Who are we? What are you making of yourself? What will be found when our soul and spirit are divided by that twoedged sword?
Is God going to care what we believed? His will be done no matter what. He knows we are sottish. But He really doesn't address our being stupid, except to grow in HIS wisdom and knowledge. But how we feel, that is different. How many personality traits does God list that He likes and that He hates? How many laws are given for self control? How we treat others. It is ACTUALLY one of the Commands Jesus left us with. Who He is looking to spend eternity with, that He is very concerned with.

He could have written a book with no controversy. Read and set down. It is the ambiguity that keeps the attention. The one side against the other. But in the end what does it tell us? What is the real test?
God doesn't need smart, but He will not take evil. Do we like His rules, do we not? Do we want to work or rest? Are we humble or are proud? Do we try ourself or do we let Him to do? Do you fight mean or do you fight nice? Did we get better or did we stay the same or did we get worse? Was it of this world or was it of God ? Did we leave the world a better place or not?

Hebrews 4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
Hebrews 4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
Hebrews 4:3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
Hebrews 4:4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
Hebrews 4:5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
Hebrews 4:6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
Hebrews 4:7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts.
Hebrews 4:8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
Hebrews 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
Hebrews 4:10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
Hebrews 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
FOR THE WORD OF GOD IS QUICK AND POWERFUL AND SHARPER THAN ANY TWOEDGED SWORD PIERCING EVEN TO THE DIVIDING ASUNDER OF SOUL AND SPIRIT AND OF THE JOINTS AND MARROW AND IS A DISCERNER OF THE THOUGHTS AND INTENTS OF THE HEART.
THIS IS MY FAVORITE VERSE OF THE BIBLE. I DO STRIVE TO LIVE MY LIFE WITH THIS AS MY GUIDE. I HAVE COME A VERY LONG WAY, BUT I STARTED OUT WAY BEHIND. AND I HAVE A VERY LONG WAY TO GO.
Hebrews 4:13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

BELIEF is the word...NOT OBEY........

It pleased God, by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. The above drivel in line one is your embellishment......

and before you yank another verse out of context that contains the word obey to peddle that which is false I will post it as well....it does not = WORK......

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

hupakouó: to listen, attend to
Original Word: ὑπακούω
Part of Speech: Verb
Transliteration: hupakouó
Phonetic Spelling: (hoop-ak-oo'-o)
Definition: to listen, attend to
Usage: I listen, hearken to, obey, answer.
Wrong as usual.

1 Cor 7:17Regardless, each one should lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him and to which God has called him. This is what I prescribe in all the churches. 18Was a man already circumcised when he was called? He should not become uncircumcised. Was a man still uncircumcised when called? He should not be circumcised. 19Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing. Keeping God’s commandments is what counts.

Obedience counts and not the calling.Keeping God's commandments is not sitting but doing.

Everything you said is true

However, if we do not rightly divide the word of God it does not help us.. we may THINK we know but if we do not continually tst each spirit.. we can easily be taken out by the half truths satan wants to decieve us with.

What I have learned (and sadly it took me to many years to realise this) is we can NEVR think we know all truth, when we get to this point

1. We become unteachable
2. We can go all our lives with a false belief and never know it

3. Satan can use this against us to further pump our pride, and get us to not see the light of the word.

Roll up, roll up, eternal security here, increases your faith, makes you want God more, realise
you are forgiven and hate sin more.

Notice you are saved already, you just need this whiter than white belief system, for extra
grade salvation ......

This is quite a shift from you guys are hell bound dooming yourselves and others to hell.
Some will say this if you believe some fall away from faith, maybe eternally.

Personally I listen to Jesus. Believe in Him and you are saved, abide in the vine and you abide
in the Kingdom. Do we need to know more? It is about us growing and dwelling in Him, which
is probably the real issue, when barren times of faith or reality come into our lives, and things
seem so distant. But maybe a little more honesty might help and talking about times of testing
and focus, would begin to address our lives properly.

You will not be saved because you abide in the vine, you abide in the vine because you are saved.

John 15
1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

___________

there are two sorts of brances here

branches that bare fruit
_____
"every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit"
"He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit"
_______

and branches void of any fruit
____
"If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned"
"As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself"

this whole thing is largely an example of the power of CHRIST in His own

compared to the lack of power in fakers

pay attention to when this was said...
and what happened with judas specifically
.....
this is about two separate sorts of men/women who claim to be in Him and are part of the congregation

nothing to do with how to earn or keep salvation

(it is a gift by grace through faith)

men can't see all like God

man may say "where is this persons fruit" through a series of poor encounters

but God may know them and be working in them already

... even peter denied Jesus 3 times

there were men who could have clearly stated "he is not a believer"

but God knew better

(posted for context to help anyone who may not understand the parable)

He did say this. You must be born again. This comes through faith, believing the gospel.

Disobedience is unbelief. The sin that will bring the wrath of Father. But, faith or obedience gives Him pleasure. Decon is correct.

In this interchange, this is pure provocation which you have fallen for.
Truth was never the argument, but playing to the audience of pride, provocation which causes an
outburst, which justifies the argument that it is just self justification in discussing right and wrong.

It is why dc and eg do not interact with me. Without the provocation response they lose because
it is they alone who are angry, so it shows their true intentions and nature, but they literally find this
impossible, so have to hide my words, because blowing up shows they have something deeply flawed.

Listen to what they did to Jesus, our path to follow.

67 Then they spit in his face and struck him with their fists. Others slapped him
68 and said, "Prophesy to us, Christ. Who hit you?"
Matt 26

We have no standing other than the truth of the Holy Spirit in our hearts and the truth of Christs
forgiveness and the fruit of repentance.

Who was it who hit Jesus? The most self assertive, religious people who though they sinned and
knew their sin, had power and authority, where happy to hurt the Lord of All, not for a moment
thinking one day they will face this judge. Just think about the words mocked here, and the belief
they have nothing to answer for, even in Christ.

It is hard for us to believe that people can know Christ, and yet behave this way, without even flinching.
But such is the strange world of the heart and the Kingdom of God. Praise the Lord, He teaches us even
at the worst of times and situations, to the Praise of His glorious name, Amen.

There is a ministry in our area calling believers into the 3rd space.
This is the social space of cafes, bars, health clubs where people go to socialise, where we can
meet them and just share our lives and how the world blesses us. People often go to find solutions
where a one to one in other situations is not possible, yet after a small interaction serious issues
come out.

With over 50% of the world living in cities now, these spaces are probably becoming more important
as work is now so desk bound, and travel is just home to work and back with limited interactions.
I am not one to talk as I have probably withdrawn more over the years, but reaching out to others
is part of who we are in Christ. God bless you

#1 = proper instruction. not guidelines for salvation

#2 = we are not justified by the law or how well we keep it

Galatians 2:16
16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

1 John 3:4
4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Romans 3:24-26

25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Philippians 3:9

You’re taking Romans 11:26 out of context. The hard truth is, no faith means no salvation.
Could you put it into context please? Do I need to add verses above or below? Other books and verses?

Rom 11, in context, is paul telling the gentile church that Gods promises to Israel are not done away with

1. There is still a remnant
2. They are blinded in part UNTIL a time in the future
3. THEY will ALL be saved at that point in the future

4. Gentile believers should not be proud, thinking they are all that, If God did nto spare Isreal, he will nto spare them either (when they as a church crash and burn as Israel did)

Hi dc, :). I share from the heart, it has never been about credibility. Jesus spoke first to me because
He just spoke words that met the situation, nothing less, nothing more. I have always wanted that
insight and strength, because I love Him and will follow Him wherever He calls.

I always hope all want to follow Jesus because they love Him, so God bless you.

Wrong.
If a person is eternally saved with no chance of loosing salvation, why the instructions and warnings?

This has been explained to you before.

Your works CAN NOT justify you before God.

__________
For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; ->But not before God.<-

For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.

But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works.

Works can only justify you before man. God does not need proof and empowers every truly good work.

I am so worried about these people. Who think they can walk in the presence of god based on how good they are..

It will be a sad day for all
