Our prayers are for the living and not the dead. At the point of death, their fate is sealed.

Hebrews 9:27
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

It seems many have not learned th e lesson of David when he prayed for the life of his child, how his servants were amazee how the king, who had been very greived, was suddely at peace. He was so because he knew once the child ddhad been taken back to our Fathe there wa son longer any need for supplication for its life......God bless all i Jesus Christ and all who will be, amen.

Yes! indeed is good to pray for the dead because one day we also we die and some one will have to say a prayer for us.
The dead are sealed to judgement and either life everlasting or the fire.
No words, ceremonies or wishes will change Gods judgement on another.

If you believe the living can change the fate of the dead, one is beginning down the road
of purchasing favour with God which appeases our consciences but has no basis in truth.

As much as our connections work in friendship, intimacy and love, when we see people for
who they are, the lost will appear such a mess and a confusion, the elect will wonder how
we saw anything of value. It is only with Gods love planted in the heart, that starts to bring
reality in the soul of the individual are the eternal realities set.

We are flowers in the field, one day glorious, the next day gone.

Praise the Lord He has chosen to meet with us and give us life everlasting through His son, Amen

Through the prayer of mercy, that we the sojourner and the triumphant,May offer to God; after their trial, their sins can be expiated in purgatory if found of some good work.God has the supremacy to pardon their sins...

Praying for Gods comfort for those who lost loved ones in the shootings is a good thing and a Christian thing to do..
praying for the shooter that they may be moved by the Holy Spirit to repent and believe Jesus is Christian also..
Praying for the dead is a waste of time and an un-Christian thing to do..

One with God is one with majority!
Most users here do not accept Catholicism. Also the sites official position does not either. You're welcome here still, but be aware few will support or agree with your views.
