Alright then...

There was an evil gallows built, it was fifty cubits high.
From it dangled many men; on it did how many die?

Still looking, I know Haman built it for Mordecai, but found himself dangling instead.

Ok wait also his 10 sons.

Perhaps the clue is in your original question, dangled not necessarily hung.

I found that the sons were previoisly killed by the sword, but I am not sure if Haman was already dead before his dangling commenced.

certainly had to go looking for that one, 'Dagon'

1 Sam 5:1-5
And the Philistines took the ark of God, and brought it from Ebenezer to Ashdod. And the Philistines took the ark of God and brought it into the house of Dagon, and set it beside Dagon. And when those of Ashdod arose early on the next day, behold, Dagon had fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of Jehovah. And they took Dagon and set him in his place again. And when they arose early on the next morning, behold, Dagon had fallen on his face to the earth before the ark of Jehovah. And the head of Dagon, and both the palms of his hands, were cut off upon the threshold. Only the stump of Dagon was left to him. And neither the priests of Dagon, nor any that come into Dagon's house, tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod to this day.

Okay, here's some truly trivial trivia. Probably well known, but I only heard it for the first time this week.

Who was 46 in 1611 when the KJV was published?

Clue: 46th word + 46th last word from Psalm 46.

Well, this is bible trivia. Where do you suggest I look it up? Is the word count actual or an computed count? I don't understand you clue the way you worded it.

Well, that was more torturous than I expected.

To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth.
Psa 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psa 46:2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Psa 46:3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
Psa 46:4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
Psa 46:5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
Psa 46:6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
Psa 46:7 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
Psa 46:8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.
Psa 46:9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.
Psa 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
Psa 46:11 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.
Selah.

William Shakesphere was 46 in 1611, and oddly someone has discovered the 46th word and the 46th-last word in Psalm 46 makes 'shake' 'spear'.
