I might have gotten a bit geeky when I saw there's a new board game based on dune coming out, and a bit sad on closer inspection because it sounds like it will be too complicated for the people I can talk into playing it with me most often.

I've been on a small retro game binge. The new rereleases of Doom 1-3 came out and I enjoyed replaying through all 3. Though, 3 does get tedious after awhile. Also lol @ bethesda login in old games.

I just saw a review for the Boys that made it sound pretty good. I'm generally burnt out on super hero stuff, but this sounded like an interesting dark take.

Are we talking GEEK or NERD here? There is a definite difference, but the OP seems to use them interchangeably. If you call a nerd a geek you will get a lecture on the difference between the two, complete with spreadsheets, graphs and the ten minute slideshow presentation.

Marvel or DC should create an asian superhero. Not a skinny brainy one, but a fierce ninja warrior like the ninja-gaiden guy so I can cosplay as him when I get in shape. :)

You mean Ryu? (Not the Street Fighter one) I agree although I'm sure there are a few if you do some digging if not you may have too look into less main stream comic book companies such as Image, Top Cow or Dynamite

Yes. I’ve played Wolf 3D quite a bit. That was the first computer game we got way back when. Well, episode 1. I bought the full game at Walmart or something later on. Those were the shareware days. I don’t revisit as much as Doom. It tends to make me nauseous to play it for long. I think it’s all of the items in the game staying static while the room is moving and the floors and ceiling sort of blending together.

I’ve played Duke Nukem less. I’m not as big of a fan of that game, but it was still pretty good. I spent more time back then playing Quake and Dark Forces and Doom. I finally played it all the way through a few years back.

The mid-90s through early 2000s is probably my favorite era is gaming, though that could probably be broken up more. PC gaming was so fun back then. Most of my favorites come from then.

Is what happened in episode 5 a big spoiler?

No, not Ryu. Ninja Gaiden was a video game back in the 90's although I never played it. That's what I would like to cosplay as. :)

Here's a clearer picture of what he looks like

I geek out over database design. It's normal form for me.
