Right, one faith, one God and one baptism

Something you have learned lately?
Well, I went to the Assembly of God Church in Chouteau, Oklahoma (about 35 miles away) this morning to visit some old friends. It's been 5 years since I've been there. I told them about my books. I also told them about the COGM Church I attend some Sabbaths.

While there, the pastor shared with me that he keeps Friday evening to Saturday evening his Sabbath to the Lord. He refrains from work as I do. I had heard rumors that he did so years ago when I lived and attended there. Anyhow, that is the something I learned today.

All I know is I really needed that Pentecostal meeting for edification. I wish the AOG here in Vinita were as uplifting as that was. 12-jfj.gif

Next Question: When was the last time you were in a really uplifting church meeting?

Shared what I was eating? I don't remember doing that. Eating along side such a person in a shelter or mission? Many times. I was homeless for a while and then fed them from my mission I worked at in Oakland. We had pancakes every Sunday morning for a while. I was famous for the way I cooked them.

Same question.

Yep at the community meal. Chili con carne was the one we cooked and shared. I remember one girl said she hadnt eaten in four days and it was her first hot meal. I havent been back in a while though cos got busy on Fridays, but was doing it every couple of Fridays for a year or so.

What are you studying at the moment? Or if you not in a course of study what book are you currently reading in the Bible?

Oh! There are so many. Beside the parting of the Red Sea, it would have to be when Joshua led everyone across the Jordan River. The Lord shared His version of what happened and He put me right there with them. I think I shared that story in my "Coming to Jesus" stories.

Same question. 5thumbsup.gif

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego just came to mind reading the question. That and Daniel in the lions den.

Bump.

I don't remember any bible stories from my childhood.

I thought I would share my disappointment here:

Well, I am back from that local AoG. It was disappointing, to say the least. He didn't remember me or the book. He said he will look for it. Stay tuned.
When was the last time you were disappointed by someone?
