is Romans 8:3 about law or purely human traditions of totally non-divine origin?

you said this verse was taken all out of context. i asked you what the right context is. you didn't bother. he answered me, but not clearly.
When you asked me that you had loped off most of the post. I couldn`t remember why I said it. A lot of posts around here aren`t worth bothering with.

I agree.

like you going on about " testament" and " covenant " being largely different, when they are the SAME greek word.
some folks will dig so deep to prop up their wrong beliefs , it is just not worth the time to deconstruct it.

that happens a lot in this thread too.

Jesus walked then, like we should walk now . The OT was telling us "these are what the souls I am looking for should look like" Jesus came to show us what the OT words Looked like, walking in a flesh life. Jesus, who knew every law, walked exactly the way God wanted. Is that what God sees when looking at you? So you go to the school master. He teaches you lessons, you learn those lessons, there is a test you pass, you have acquired some working faith, You move to the next level where the schoolmaster teaches, you learn, test and with more faith from hearing, you move on to the next level and so on and so on and one day, with total love and faith you have accept the Lord Jesus as the Son of God who died for your sins and was risen for life, and you are baptized and the HS dwells with you and you have no more need for the school master, for all that is also dwelling inside you and as you walk through this life, and this evil world comes at you the spirit leads you in the right paths, helps you to crucify that flesh, and God knows we stumble and fall and He loves us anyway so it leads you to repentance (Christ) where you sins are forgiven in (Christ) and you can freely then speak to the Father, who created all you see and all you know and all you are and you are headed towards a place that God can rely upon you to "Go teach and baptize" and you take all you have learned and go do those works to the Glory of God and His goodness shine through you to where all you meet say "I got to get me some of that, what is it"? and you say, Praise be to God who loves you and has sent us out to you to tell you the Good news about how much He loves you and He even has sent us an instruction manual with all the how to and whys and what it is all about. He is offering you...

According to Hebrews 8, which is quoting Old Testament prophecy here, The New Covenant is a covenant with the nation of Israel and it won`t be implemented until Christ returns (see verse 11) so the New Covenant isn`t implemented yet. The Bible does declare believers to be ministers of the New Testament which is the gospel.

My apologies to whosoever has doctrine that this Bible truth destroys.
So what are you saying?

A testament is a will. A covenant is a contract. The contrast makes a difference. Insisting the two words are identical in meaning is a common form of replacement theology.
So thank God for giving you a new will, the New Testament, which is a contract or covenant between God and Israel that guarantees salvation to all those, whose High Priest is Jesus Christ in the here and now.

 I hate it. We were doing so well. I`m guessing you don`t like what the passage from Hebrews 8 says?
I love it.

I'm just sad that you think it is for some future people and not for everyone, past, present and future...

Who's "prevent[-ing] [ppl] from coming to Christ RIGHT NOW and receiving His Blessings and Gifts"??

Read again Ephesians 1:3 (and context... speaking to/for/about "the Church WHICH IS HIS BODY"), "3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the One having blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms"

;)
I take it you didn't read the post I was responding to?

According to Google Translations the words have the same meaning. 😎

Swarming and attacking like a pack of animals isn't the way of children of the Most High. One is more than enough lol.

Joshua 23:10
One of you can put a thousand to flight, because the LORD your God fights for you, just as He promised.
I was just making a joke with Simple.

I haven't really fought with anyone.

I've just expressed my opinions of scripture which seem to be at odds with the opinions of people who are still under the 10 commandments.

I'm sure it won't be the last time my opinions differ from others....

So what are you saying?
Jeremiah 31

33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

35 Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is his name:

36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.

37 Thus saith the Lord; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the Lord.

The new covenant is promised to Israel and it`s a contract that will be executed by Jesus Christ when He returns to rule. The church is part of covenant Israel, Gentiles grafted in, 1st resurrection already taken place.

Believers are ministers of the New Testament which is the gospel, we execute his will/testament and represent as His Spirit gathers what is His. Jesus gets his inheritence before the contract is implemented.

So no covenant right now? New covenant starts on Lords Day? Right now just fulness of Gentiles?

Jeremiah 31:34 indicates Messiah Kingdom age, same passage repeated in the book of Hebrews. The nation Israel is in between contracts. Gentiles are grafted in at the Isaac generation in part because the Abraham covenant is still valid. As ministers of the new testament we recieve the spiritual benefits of the covenant. But what we have is a testament and we are waiting on Jesus to come into His inheritence.

Death of Jesus just took out old Covenant of death and brought us under grace and forgiveness to life?
It`s not called a covenant of death in the Bible but yes Old Covenant has been voided because Israel failed to do its part.

Does everyone know the Lord? Has teaching ended? This is a glympse of the age to come.

Lets see if I follow, Law of Moses ended at John the Baptist, but gentiles grafted into Abrahamic Covenant. Not until the Lords Day which comes at the end of Satans Tribulation when Jesus returns as lord of Lords and King of Kings, when all are changed, some to the 1st resurrection into the incorruptible body with immortality, to reign for the millennium with Christ, and others to incorruptible body yet still mortal body and that is when the New Covenant becomes valid and that is why no one will need to ask "Do you know"...

diatheke.

a covenant, a will, a testament. a set agreement.

unlike you judeaizers, who deny everything except the Law, I accept what words mean.
In Greek there are several words for the single English word love. Each of these Greek words have a different meaning.
A will and a covenant are not the same thing. Your point is irrelevant

I guess I`m forced to say you don`t follow because I don`t know where some of that is coming from.
