I’m conducting research and collecting empirical data for the case study: do men prefer long or short hair on women? Your answer could contribute to solving serious societal issues in regards to the topic. Thank you in advance.

Probably long hair but..............
there are some cute ladies with short hair.
And long hair is not the most important asset.
(???###) is the most important.

Well, you're not going to see me shirk my responsibility for the common societal good, so I'm going to unequivocally say it's long hair. Long luxurious hair. Streamin' gleamin flaxen waxen hair.........

you know, now that I say that though, short hair is awful charming. Sometime there's that little curl that misbehaves or the totally irresistible part in the bangs that shows up unexpected like when she turns her head. There's that little flip that tucks in so nicely behind an ear. Yep, I'm a short hair guy now that I think of it.....

Thing is, though.... just the other day I was admiring some mid length hair drawn up in a ponytail. Looked kind of haphazardly placed. The front swooped down from her forehead then back up and attached at the back on either side with a clip and there were a couple of strands that got left behind and dangled about her neck. It was quite alluring. Yep, I've reconsidered. Count me in as a mid-length hair guy.

I like the Heihachi Mishima hairstyle on ladies... Bald on the top with points on the sides.

Anything in the interest of science:
- preference is long hair...
- albeit there is no denying a pretty smile/face...
Caveat:
- given the realities: 1) inner beauty is critical; and 2) the majority of woman who meet most men's preferences are likely already taken
Conclusion: beggars can't be choosers...

The real riddle is would men prefer a woman that may or may not have a secret/hidden tattoo with longer or shorter hair?? :)

If you mean the hair on her head, long is good. If you mean the hair on her legs, arms, feet or chin, um, I'll plead the Fifth.
 
Long. I see a rare woman that still looks good with short hair, but it's usually only once or twice a year.
Also, i'm not into men, so anything that has a masculine look to it is a turn off, hence longer hair.
