Here is the meaning of the Greek word 'photizo', and the Bible references where it is used.

Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words

1 Strong's Number: g5461 Greek: photizo

Enlighten:

from phos, "light,"

(a), used intransitively, signifies "to give light, shine," Rev 22:5;

(b), used transitively, "to enlighten, illumine," is rendered "enlighten" in Eph 1:18, metaphorically of spiritual "enlightenment;" so Jhn 1:9, i.e., "lighting every man" (by reason of His coming); Eph 3:9, "to make (all men) see" (RV marg., "to bring to light"); Hbr 6:4, "were enlightened;" Hbr 10:32, RV, "enlightened," AV, "illuminated."

See ILLUMINATED, LIGHT. Cp. photismos, "light," and photeinos, "full of light."

101 Verb Strong's Number: g5461 Greek: photizo

Light, Noun, and Verb (Bring To, Give), Lighten:
used
(a) intrasitively, signifies "to shine, give light," Rev 22:5;

(b) transitively,

(1) "to illumine, to light, enlighten, to be lightened," Luk 11:36; Rev 21:23; in the Passive Voice, Rev 18:1; metaphorically, of spiritual enlightenment, Jhn 1:9; Eph 1:18; 3:9, "to make... see;" Hbr 6:4; 10:32, "ye were enlightened," RV (AV, "... illuminated");

(2) "to bring to light," 1Cr 4:5 (of God's act in the future); 2Ti 1:10 (of God's act in the past).
See ENLIGHTEN, ILLUMINATE.
What I really what to know is illuminated saved in your view ...since I am thinking you do not think it is.

All saved people have been illuminated.
And there are unsaved people who have been illuminated to the truth but who then reject that illumination and are lost.

Controversy isn't well spoken of in scriptures. Those who thrive on it know not peace.
I like your post . And yes, I do know what you're saying.
I see no one promoting controversy... that is just silly.

The truth is only controversial to those who do not accept it.

I'm confused by what you are saying.

To reject the illumination then they are lost.
Were they not lost before the illumination?
If so that be so then lost before and still lost after.

Is that what you are saying?

I only take adjustment from the initiator of this thread @dcontroversal :) and you are not him.

Salvation not being by works is synonymous with salvation being secure .... if there was nothing we could do to earn salvation there sure enough is nothing we can do to loose it....since our works/righteousness/ law keeping have no bearing on either side.
Jeaus said, "No-one can do anything against the Truth, but only for the Truth." Only half of your statement is corect. Yes Jesus is the saviour of all men and no one can do anything against Him, and Grace (that Dcontroversial left out of the tread, not by works...) is the influence of God to do the work of God. Grace, "We must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work." Grace, "I can do all things through Christ who strengtens me." Grace, "One thing is needful and Marie has chosen that good part that will not be taken from her." Grace, "Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus, all of us then, who are mature (or going on to perfection) should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you." "Let us go on to perfection, and this we will do if God permits."
But you said: I only take adjustment from the initiator of this thread.
If we alow a man to come between us and God, Grace will not be multiplied to follow Christ, so that there would be nothing we could do. "I know that after my departure, grievous wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock, and from your own number, men will rise up and distort the truth to draw away disciples after them."

Being illuminated means being enlightened to the gospel through the testimony of the Holy Spirit. Most people reject the testimony of the Holy Spirit and remain in their lost state. A few retain the testimony of the Holy Spirit about the gospel and are saved.

I suppose the fundamental reason you can not be justified by works of the law and, therefore, saved is because the law can not make you perfect. The only way to be made perfect in God's sight and be granted a declaration of righteousness is to have your unrighteousness removed through forgiveness.
I think we believe when we're told in the Book of Matthew chapter 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect, that we think we're being told to be perfect, without blemish, mistakes, etc...
But, "perfect", is not the original word used.

How then do we become complete? By keeping to the spirit of the law that is written in our hearts by God.
Remember the Apostle James words.
"But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. 24 For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. 25 But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing." The Book of James chapter 1

מושלם=Hebrew, shlemim. "48 Therefore, be shlemim (complete), even as is your Av shbaShomayim. complete, "

Greek- (the New Testament was originally written in Greek) "Perfect",
Strong's 5046. teleios
Cognate: 5046 téleios (an adjective, derived from 5056 /télos, "consummated goal") – mature (consummated) from going through the necessary stages to reach the end-goal, i.e. developed into a consummating completion by fulfilling the necessary process (spiritual journey). See 5056 (telos).
[This root (tel-) means "reaching the end (aim)." It is well-illustrated with the old pirate's telescope, unfolding (extending out) one stage at a time to function at full-strength (capacity effectiveness).]

...."
The legalist and the lawbreaker both have a morbid curiosity about those boundaries rather than concentrate upon the vast latitude of choices between those markers. This is reminiscent of our parents Adam and Eve developing a morbid curiosity about the one tree that God forbade, ignoring the thousands upon thousands of varieties that He did not forbid (Genesis 2:16-17; 3:1-6). This behavior dwells on the negative and ignores the positive.

These examples point out that the spirits of legalism and lawlessness are twin siblings. When we place the critical points of the law/grace and legalism/lawlessness issue in proper perspective, law and grace are powerful allies opposing legalism and lawlessness. They give Christians great freedom to do good for others while also doing what is right. " (source and more study)

Being enlightened and illuminated are metaphors for knowledge.
Those who are respond to the knowledge with belief become saved.

I like my words better.

Heb. 6:4 For in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God, and put Him to open shame.

And these people responded to the knowledge and became believers.

Salvation is not a prize to be earned....if that is what you are stating because I am not sure.

Best to present the Gospel (Truth) in clear crisp language so there is no room for misinterpretation.

No one comes between me and God and that is not what I meant...I meant if @dcontroversal felt we were off topic then it would be his call and I would respect his wishes.... and adjust my behavior and responses.

"I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Philipians 3:14
Are you saying that only Paul gets the prize?

"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize."
The prise, "Christ in you the hope of glory (Resurrection)."
Not all believers have part in the first Resurrection.

"Isaw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended). This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years."

Yeah, well I am still waiting too!

Willful sin is a reference to being under the old system of laws.....

Get it now?
No.

Do you know what conjecture is? There is nothing in the text or surrounding context to support what you are putting forth in regards to the clause "Sinning Willful".

Sinning willful is just that. Doing despite unto the Spirit of grace troddening under foot the Son of God having counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing.

There remaineth no more Sacrifice for Those sinning willfuly. BUT a certain fearful looking forward to judgement and fiery indignation WHICH SHALL DEVOUR THE ADVERSARIES.

If one is DEVOURED THEY ARE NO LONGER. THEREFORE THEY ARE NOT SAVED because there remaineth no more sacrifice for their sins. Because they done despite unto the Spirit of Grace.

Question; How is it those who are sinning willful have done despite UNTO the Spirit of Grace?

For HE has put HIS Commandments in our hearts and in our minds HE has written them. We have entered into the HOLIEST of through the veil that is to say HIS flesh. So Let us draw near (unto GOD) with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith ( That HE has put HIS Commandments in our hearts and in our minds HE has written them. We have entered into the HOLIEST of through the veil that is to say HIS flesh. Let us draw near (unto GOD) with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water) without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised, He Covenanted it) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. FOR, because if we are willfully sinning after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
(Heb 10:23-26)

How long you been here? Go back and read every response ever given to you

been there done that.

And yet to this date you have not addressed the post.

good luck earning your salvation
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship ( For It is GOD that works in us both to will and do HIS good pleasure), created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

and how many times did I ask you about your teachings on the Law and the Sabbath, and you never addressed it?

and then, when you were openly teaching it , and I addressed it again, you STILL blew it off.

seems to me some people have no concept on being honest and straightforward.

did Jesus not highlight Nathanael by saying … in which there is no deceit"?

so, maybe, Instead of trying to keep the Law of Moses, one would do better to strive for that goal.
