I'm not a KJV Only guy and I disagree.
When we pick and choose what we want to believe in the BIBLE, then it is NO longer GODs word to us, And we can't put our trust in it as the WORD of GOD, And let it CHANGE us, The BIBLE tells us the Nations that would be in POWER, HOW they would come in power And Who would defeat them, about 150 years before Artaxerxes the King was born, GOD told that he was going to defeat Babylon And how he was going to do it, Only GOD could have done this, We can put our trust In the WORD OF GOD, As the Word of GOD, And not Haft to pick and Choose what we think is Right or wrong, It's all the word of GOD. GOD bless as HE sees fit.

It's called properly harmonizing scripture with scripture (which I did in post #195) before reaching our conclusion on doctrine. So are you telling me that the bolded words from Revelation 21:23-25 in post #195 don't really mean what they say? Are you seeking to force Revelation 21:23-25 to somehow "conform" to your biased interpretation of Isaiah 66:22-23? Is that your method of hermeneutics?
Why did it not just SAY THAT THERE WAS NO SUN, IT don't because it tells in other places that there will BE, And it ALL needs to line up.
GOD bless as HE sees fit

Revelation 21:23 - The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. 24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. 25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). *Now show me where in other places the Bible states otherwise.

The Seventh Day is the Sabbath of our Lord our God.

God has said,
"Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee."
(Exo 20:8-12 KJV)
this was given to Israel only.

gentiles were never under the Law, as Paul noted multiple times. ( but, I know a lot of you judeaizers do not think Paul's letters are authoritative Scripture).

I could go back and pull up all the times you deny that you teach Sabbath keeping is a part of salvation through faith in Christ, but i won't, you do not care about honesty.

The Word of God makes it clear that Sabbath observance was a sign between God and Israel: “The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath, celebrating it for the generations to come as a lasting covenant. It will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he abstained from work and rested.” (Exodus 31:16-17)

In Deuteronomy 5, Moses restates the Ten Commandments to the next generation of Israelites. Here, after commanding Sabbath observance in verses 12–14, Moses gives the reason the Sabbath was given to the nation Israel: “Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the Lord your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day.” (Deuteronomy 5:15)

Doesn't get much clearer than that. ;)

If the law is a spiritual law, and yet you try to work at it carnally in your own understanding and strength you will constantly fail.

That is why your Righteousness can never come from your work.

Your Righteousness only comes from Trusting in Christ.

That is the job of the Law. To make you understand that.

1 Corinthians 1:23-24
23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
Are you saying that after you accept the righteousness of the Lord it is fine to want to disregard the law? How can you ask for forgiveness and at the same time tell the lord you purposely want to disobey the law? Jesus asks you to cooperate with Him, to repent.

saying you are saved by grace, which is plainly stated in the NT, does not mean you disregard any law and believe you are free to sin till the cows come home from their extended absence

and it insults the intelligence of the reader for the op to consistently try to make people say what they did not say

post scripture and and nothing but scripture and she will tell you that you do not ever post scripture

as with other threads of this nature, we see such confusion as to create a continuing dialogue between the op and whoever dares to respond and I say dare, because it is respond at your own risk and be accused of fabricated nonsense you know nothing about

I would suggest that it is in this manner, the op creates threads that last far longer than there substance would warrant

people are trying very hard to understand why the op ignores what they actually say while insinuating total hogwash and pretending it is either a question or perhaps she understands better than what you actually posted

either way, it's a head on collision and feeds whatever is driving this constant need in this forum by some to re-examine what God said and what He actually meant...which for all intents and purposes, only a select few can understand what He meant which is the assurance to the few that they alone possess special knowledge

how many ways can you spell cult like behavior?

saying that you have special or privileged knowledge is a classic example of a person who is listening to the voice in their head congratulating them on their assured salvation and special unction with God

which of course is not what is going on but deception is one of the hardest, if not the hardest, obstacle for a sincere person to acknowledge because the argument goes 'God would not allow me to be deceived' and that is the basis for many an error, sincere or not

Days and diet are the important things in your worldview. They are on the same level as physical circumcision to me. As I said, I was once a Sabbathkeeper too. You cannot reconcile your position, because you are forced to pick some things from the Book of the Covenant and acknowledge that they are still reflections of God's holiness, so your simplified hermeneutic claiming that the Ten Commandments are the only part of the Mosaic Law that is still valid does not reconcile.

Instead, the entire Mosaic Law is obsolete, including the weekly Sabbath. Believers are not under the law but under grace. However, God is conforming the believer to the image of Christ, and immorality is contra to the image of Christ.

It is your claim that days and diet are important still. My position is that they are part of the ceremonial aspect of the Law, and fall under Colossians 2:16-17. SDAs spend a lot of effort to deny that the weekly Sabbath is part of the scope of these Scriptures, but it is hopeless because it is.

I suggest reading Sabbath in Christ by Dale Ratzlaff on this topic. He dedicates the appendix to it. He is a fourth generation ex SDA. His organization, Life Assurance Ministries, publishes the Proclamation! magazine. Each issue exposes the many problems of SDA theology.

Here is a couple of presentations by him:

Didn't read through all of these, but I sure hope someone brought up the fact that "time" as we know it here on earth will NOT exist in Heaven. God is not bound by "time" days, weeks, months, years and such...........GOD IS! And, when we receive our celestial bodies and are abiding with Him in Heaven we will be eternal. We will not age, we will not be bound by time, so this idea that there will be specific days in Heaven is just silly IMO.

this was given to Israel only.
.
We are grafted in and heirs with Israel of the covenant.
We should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

So Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ ( word, the Law) down from above, Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ (word, the Law) again from the dead.) But what saith it? The word (Christ) is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws (the Word) into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; For Christ ( The New Ministration through which the word, God's law is in the heart and mind) is the end of the law ( the ministration through stone and parchment) for righteousness to every one that believeth.
(Eph 3:6; Rom 10:4-8;Heb 10:16 KJV)

God's word, His Law is in our heart, mind and mouth through Christ's indwelling. How can we not keep, guard it through Christ. For it is God that works in us both to will and do His good pleasure. We are a New man through Christ. Old things have passed away, behold all things are new and of God. That is, the word of faith, which we preach.

Genesis chapter one shows The days were regulated before the sun, moon and stars were created.

And God says while speaking of the new heaven and new earth,
And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

Most misunderstand Colossians. Here take a look. The context is forgiveness. It starts in verse 13.
And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting to the ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
(Col 2:13-16)

It was the hand writing to the ordinances that were against and contrary to us. These are the judgments, ceremonial and sacrificial laws God mandated for when we broke the ordinances, the laws that pertain to life, God's righteousness. We have been forgiven through Christ so they are not needed anymore. Verse 16 makes it even clearer with the fact that It says let no man therefore judge you. Principalities and powers have been spoiled by the cross. No more judgment by man because the handwriting to the ordinances has been blotted out because we have been forgiven already.

the words logos and Torah have nothing in common. so, Jesus is NOT the Law. do not where you got this, but wherever , it is false.

still waiting on you to acknowledge the fact you denied that you teach Law , Sabbath for salvation for months, now you are openly saying it.

The Seventh Day is the Sabbath of our Lord our God.

God has said,
"Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee."
(Exo 20:8-12 KJV)
Who was God addressing here? The Church/Christians under the new covenant or the Israelites under the old covenant? Exodus 20:2 - “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

In Deuteronomy 5, Moses restates the 10 Commandments to the next generation of Israelites.

That word there is not logos. Paul paraphrased Deut.

If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul. For this commandment which I command thee this day ( TO hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law,) , it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off. It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? But the word ( TO hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law,)is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it. For God has said, the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.
(Deu 30:6, 10-14 KJV)

But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? by the way, in the first part of Romans 10, Paul states that "Israel was zealous for God, but the zeal is not based on knowledge"

just like you modern day judeaizers..

Are you saying that after you accept the righteousness of the Lord it is fine to want to disregard the law? How can you ask for forgiveness and at the same time tell the lord you purposely want to disobey the law? Jesus asks you to cooperate with Him, to repent.
After you "accept" the righteousness of the Lord???

You mean like being Foolish and attempting to perfect yourself through your work and understanding of the law???

Yes. In order to be a Christian you HAVE TO disregard the Law.

Galatians 2:19-21
19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

If righteousness doesn't come by the law then what is the point of going back to it after you have come to Christ????????

Would you rather be Righteous or would you rather continue working at the law?

We are grafted in and heirs with Israel of the covenant.
We should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

So Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ ( word, the Law) down from above, Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ (word, the Law) again from the dead.) But what saith it? The word (Christ) is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

Is this Law that is in our heart, mind and mouth Condemnation and Death? (10 commandments)

Or is this Law that is in our heart, mind and mouth Righteousness and Life?

2 Corinthians 3:6-9
6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:
8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?
9 For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.

You do realize that its wrong to purposely conflate the 10 Commandments with Gods Law that He puts on our hearts, minds and mouth, right?

After reading these 4 simple verses you should.

Romans 8:1-2
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

How could there be no condemnation if the law that God writes on our hearts is the 10 commandments? Which is the ministration of condemnation? (and Death)

How can the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus free us from the law of sin and death if it is the law of sin and death that is written on our hearts?

There is a really simple explanation. The Law of sin and death isn't written on our hearts. The Ministration of Condemnation and Death isn't written on our hearts. It is Gods Law that is written on our hearts. Not commandments commanding us to keep Gods Law.

I suppose if you were going to get it you already would have by now. I suppose this is for the people who will understand.
