And don't take the word tree literally. The tree indicates lineage...like your family tree.

He was the serpent in the beginning of chapter 3 before God cursed him.

1 Timothy 2

You could say the 20/20 prescription for looking into the dark glass of parables to give us a clearer understanding of the unseen eternal .

2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

I don't think the word parable which is one of the manners of prophecy that is used to bring the word of God. It is used to represent actual events but does not change the value as historically true But brings another hidden meaning alongside (Para) using the things seen to give us the unseen. what I call gospel, the faith to faith understanding. Comparing the things not seen to the same.

Abraham and Isaac are used a parable that uses the literal historical to give the unseen understanding. The whole period of Kings in Israel until the reformation was set aside was a parable .Healing are parables to show us God is not served by corrupted human hands .The law is without parables Christ spoke not.

Parable simply use the things seen to signify the things not seen used a a figure. The word figure is the same word parable

The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.
