And John answered and said Master we saw one casting out devils in thy name
and we forbade him because he followed not with us. And Jesus said unto him
Forbid him not for he that is not against us is for us.

Luke 9:49-50 KJV

We have to be careful with our attitudes to groups and individuals who are proclaiming the name of Jesus.
If their core beliefs line up with scripture who are we to say whether they are part of the body or not? Only
God knows whats in a person's heart

It seems many agree there is One God Head if this is what the Christian believes how can there b so many divisions in Christianity ??? The true and spoken words from our Messiah
A house divided Will Fall
How can somthing that’s so divided call itself of Christ
come out of her my people so you do not receive her plagues and partake in her sins
Immanuel
any thoughts?
I would offer

The house of God the church is made up of many what are called "lively stones" Together they build up the spiritual "unseen" house of God. His eternal bride.

She, as a visual sign to the temporal world is used to demonstrate the coming eternal glory that she will be clothed with in her new incorruptible body .You could say a preview to the world revealing his coming glory.

She is not the light but those sent to represent the true light the hidden glory .The ceremonially assigned law to the new testament is in respect to the reformed government. I would offer. It should reflect the the two part ceremony in 1 Corinthians 11. Headship and the drinking together (bread and blood grapes) as one demonstration to represent the unseen coming glory. A sign to the angels the messengers of the gospel to bring to the world .Men and woman from all nations and tongues given the faith to believe and a desire to prophecy their new tongue in order to declare the goods news.

The first time a man and woman from all nations could gather together and share the daily bread of the will of God . You could say without killing each other as those who do consume each other after what the eyes see. "Flesh and blood against flesh and blood" . . no help from God. Today it would seem to be a fashion statement to sweep that ceremonial law as a sign to the world under the rug by most denominations.

Matthew 5:13-15 King James Version (KJV) Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Christian A befitting name that the Father re- named in Acts, in lieu of the reformation all the nations as a kingdom of priests.. Christian a name with no other meaning added the means; Residents of the city made up of lively stones. . . named after its founder and builder her Husband, Christ.

The Bible informs us there must be divisions between us called heresies. A word that means sects or denominations . Especially in lieu of the reformation when the kingdoms of this world became a kingdom of priests

Also, our Master has taught us the He did not come to bring peace on earth, rather He came to divide us...…………..it is in the Book.

This thread has me thinking, so for that I say thank you. Not having a good night sleep has my cognitive abilities a wee lacking, lol.

Seriously though, it is Him within that unites the body. Lord knows, as do those that belong to Him , it isn't us coming together on our own. We won't all ever agree on everything. As a matter of fact, I think it is fair to say, no one agrees with anyone all the time.

I think that is why having a personal relationship with Him is important so that we can grow in union with Our Father, the great unifier of that which belongs to Him.

He is our family, His body, not ours, and with Him we are so blessed, huh?

On this, I think, I hope, we ALL agree!!!

Great passage but I believe that verse is to divide Christians from non-Christians, not believers from believers, no?

where ever you are in your walk with Jesus Christ, at some point you will come to realize
just who the perfectly twisted really are...
also you will begin to discern good from evil, and those that call evil good and good evil -
1COR. 1:10.
Now I beseech you, brethren, by The Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all 'speak the same thing',
and that there be (no divisions) among you; but that you be (perfectly joined together) in
the same mind and in the same judgment.)

PRO. 22:10.
Cast out the scorner, and contention shall go out; yea, strife and reproach shall cease.

I would think. Divide in order to bring together by dividing otherwise we would consume . The division that keeps the peace of the father and Son . The mixing of faith . . . the things seen. Mankind the temporal and the things not seen the eternal kingdom

For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached "did not" profit them, not being mixed with "faith" in them that heard Hebrews 4:2

The letter of the law as that seen death ,And the eternal spirit of the law the law of faith working as one perfect law doing its perfect work in us to both will and perform his good pleasure.

The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward. Psalms 19:7-11

The parable of the tares and the wheat helps me in my understanding of what Jesus declared. Until the Harvest, they will grow together, however until then that type of separating will not have taken place.

It is for this reason many in all given denomnations who have not been called out of them scratch their heads wondering why much of the assembly seems to miss the mark on understanding and praising God, Yah.
