I have to write this in installments as 'this is the age of the half read page.' --- This is a longer history than can be put in one post and I can come back to respond to individual posts later. --- Unfortunately, not too many of us read the 'Minor Prophets.'

--- Yes, in the time of King David, Abiathar and Zadok are mentioned as priests, but later, it said of Solomon that he sometimes acted as his own priest, and it says, quote: “In Solomon’s time, were priestly duties carried out improperly or by non-priests resulted in dire consequences.”

The priests were no longer dedicated to the Lord, like the Pharisees later, --- so when the priesthood failed to fill the role, and the kings after Solomon were self seeking, except for one or two, God allowed some changes to preserve His people. The ten Northern tribes were taken to Assyria in 722 BC, and many from Judah were taken to Babylon in about 600 BC for the 70 year captivity. --- The Jews from Assyria didn’t return to Israel, but were dispersed throughout the world. The Jews in Babylon were revived under the miraculous teaching and miracles accompanying the Prophets, Ezekiel and Daniel. Many returned after the captivity under Joshua the Priest and Zerubbabel, the Governor. --- Later Ezra the Priest and scribe, led another group back to Jerusalem and restored worship. --- However, within a few years the Priesthood again began to fail to the level of what it said in Malachi 1:7 “You offer defiled food on My altar, but say, ‘In what way have we defiled You?’ By saying, ‘The table of the Lord is contemptible.’ 8 And when you offer the blind as a sacrifice, Is it not evil? And when you offer the lame and sick, Is it not evil? Offer it then to your governor! Would he be pleased with you? Would he accept you favorably?” Says the Lord of hosts.

Malachi 2:7 “For the lips of a priest should keep knowledge, And people should seek the law from his mouth; For he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts. 8 But you have departed from the way; You have caused many to stumble at the law. You have corrupted the covenant of Levi,” Says the Lord of hosts.
--- The name, 'the Lord of hosts' is used from 1 Samuel to the end of Malachi, but not in the New Testament.

So from God’s perfect government of King, Priest and Prophet, --- all that was left were His Prophets. The Kingship and Priesthood that had been handed over to men had failed. --- But God is never without resources. --- In that time, about 470 BC the Prophet Zechariah was given this, in Zechariah 6:12 “And say to him, Thus says the Lord of hosts: [You, Joshua] behold (look at, keep in sight, watch) the Man [the Messiah] whose name is the Branch, for He shall grow up in His place and He shall build the [true] temple of the Lord.
13 Yes, [you Joshua are building a temple of the Lord, but] it is He Who shall build the [true] temple of the Lord, and He shall bear the honor and glory [as of the only begotten of the Father] and shall sit and rule upon His throne. And He shall be a Priest upon His throne, and the counsel of peace shall be between the two [offices—Priest and King]."
Great way to tie the two together as you said. . . two [offices—Priest and King].

I would think like the unseen King of Peace ruling with His priest seen as the Prince of the same peace that does surpass our limited understanding..

In that way Melchizedek is used like Moses to represent the unseen Father as King of Peace (Melchizedek) working with the Prince of Peace signified by Aaron a type of the Son of man as on labor of love, called a work of their combined faith (one) Looking to the spiritual understanding of both parables below (faith to faith) It would appear the King with the Prince working to bring the peace of the gospel.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Melchisedec, was used to represent the unseen Father working with the son of man, Abraham or Moses to represent our unseen father working with the son of man, Aaron .In these last days with the Son of man, Jesus our High Priest in whom the unseen father spoke directly through.

Hebrews 7;1-2 King James Version (KJV) For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;

King of peace Prince of Peace = I and my Father are one. John 10:30

God's government includes the office of Judge.
I think that is reference to our unseen father in heaven .The King of Peace. The Spirit of judgement, the letter of the law..represented by the tribe of Dan . That law of death will not enter the new heavens and earth.

The Prophet Jeremiah was a contemporary of Zephaniah, Habakkuk, Daniel and Ezekiel. His ministry stretched from 627 to about 580 BC, so he was there when it happened. A few years before the captivity to Babylon Jeremiah wrote this prophecy.

Jeremiah 31:31 “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— 32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the Lord. 33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

--- This, of course, is the New Covenant when the Lord gave the Holy Spirit to indwell the minds and hearts, of those who will receive His Spirit. --- When this happened on the Day of Pentecost, not only everyone in Jerusalem and Judea knew this, but there were Jews in Jerusalem for Passover, as it says in Acts 1:5 “Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven.” --- Which would mean that, ‘every nation where Jews dwelt,’ was represented in Jerusalem for the Feast of Pentecost. Some 3000 were converted the first day, and received the Holy Spirit. Most of these would be from the various countries listed, and they would take the Gospel message to their home country, which would start revival among the Jews, and then spread to the Gentiles. --- All of the Apostles were Jews, so the Gospel was given, ‘to the Jew first,’ and through them to the Gentiles.

--- This is perhaps ‘the greatest Story seldom told,’ that within two weeks or a month when all of these converted Jews returned home they were Evangelists to their own people. --- An important thing to know is that the Jews retained Hebrew as a second language wherever they went, as the Law said that, ‘All able bodied men were required to attend the feasts of Passover and Pentecost in Jerusalem, if at all possible.’ --- So they were required to be there, where they would speak Hebrew. --- Later, when the Apostles came to visit their Churches, the Apostles would communicate with the leaders in Hebrew, and these men could interpret to the locals in their language, both Jews and Gentiles. --- This followed Christ’s command, “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel.” --- So the Gospel was preached to the then known world, through the Jews, to the Gentiles. --- Is this not a “Great Story” seldom told?

I was adding by opinion of the office of the unseen Judge .
Which was redundant, because I already identified that as an aspect of God's government.

We never learned any of this from our Pastors or Elders, so it is up to you, whether you study the Scriptures to understand what is written, or whether you disregard it. --- The Lord revealed it all through my three years of study.

To go back to Zechariah 6:13 where it says of the Man whose name is The Branch, “And He shall be a Priest upon His throne, and the counsel of peace shall be between the two [offices—Priest and King].” --- This speaks of the Messiah, Christ. So how does He get from here to the New Covenant where He will hold these two offices?

The NKJB says in Zechariah 13:7 “Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, against the Man who is My Companion,” Says the Lord of hosts.

The Amplified Bible says, 13:7 “Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, and against the Man, My Associate,” Declares the Lord of hosts.

--- So this Man is the Companion and Associate of the Lord of hosts and His Shepherd, who the sword is against. This sounds like Jesus Christ, does it not?

--- We go to the prophecy in Malachi 3:1 “Behold, I send My messenger, and he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple, even the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He is coming,” Says the Lord of hosts.

So we can read it like this: “Behold, I (the Lord of hosts) send My messenger (small ‘m’ on messenger meaning John the Baptist), and he (John) will prepare the way before Me (the Lord of hosts). And the Lord (the Messiah), whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple (His body), even the Messenger (capital M on Messenger meaning the Messiah) of the covenant, in whom you delight (their hope was in the coming Messiah). Behold, He is coming,” Says the Lord of hosts.

--- The Lord of hosts said, ‘Behold I send My messenger before Me, and I am coming.’ --- At the end of the verse the Lord of hosts said, ‘He is coming.’ --- From first person to third person, ‘He is coming.’

It says in Malachi 4:5 “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. 6 And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers.”

--- And the fulfillment is in Luke 1:13 But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. 14 And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth. 15 For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb. 16 And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God. 17 He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’ and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”
Blessings

So we have the forerunner, John the Baptist who had a ministry of His own while introducing Jesus Christ. --- And I said that Christ was the Companion and Associate of the Lord of hosts, as well as His Shepherd. --- And also, the Lord of Hosts was a name of God used from 1 Samuel to Malachi chapter 4, but is not mentioned by that name in the NT. --- So in saying in Malachi 3 ‘I, the Lord of hosts am coming,’ and then changing it to ‘He is coming,’ means that Christ was coming in the place of the Lord of hosts.

--- And the new name in the New Covenant is ‘the Lord Jesus Christ.’ --- As I said in a previous post that from the birth of Jesus to the crucifixion, the name was usually Jesus Christ, but either name meant the other in some cases, as in Matthew 16:13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” 14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

--- Something that a lot of readers miss is that Jesus asked, “Who do men say that I, ‘the Son of Man,’ am? --- And Peter answered, “You are the Christ.” --- The name Jesus meant Savior, and Christ meant Messiah. --- It says in Matthew 1:20 An angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” --- And the next verses say,

22 So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: 23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
--- And this speaks of the Prophet Isaiah in 7:14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.

And the name Immanuel means “God with us.” It says in 2 Corinthians 5:19 “That God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself.” --- So, in the NT, the Son of Man is Christ, and Immanuel is, Christ the Messiah. So we have the two names of this One, --- Jesus the Savior, and Christ the Messiah, --- So Peter answer rightly, ‘You, the Son of Man, are the Christ.’

Jesus didn't ask that, and Peter didn't respond with that. Certainly, you're welcome to offer your interpretation of Scripture, but please, don't add to it.

I have to give the detailed Scriptures to show the background of Christ coming to earth to indwell the body of Jesus. --- When the Wisemen came from the East to Jerusalem, they were following a star, and it says in Matthew 2:1 Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, 2 saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.” 3 When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. 4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. 5 So they said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet: 6 ‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, Are not the least among the rulers of Judah; For out of you shall come a Ruler Who will shepherd My people Israel.’ ”

--- Notice that they asked, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews?” --- The response was to ask the chief priests and scribes, where ‘the Christ’ would be born, and they found the prophecy in Micah. --- Notice the wording, ‘out of you (Bethlehem), shall come a Ruler who will shepherd My people.' --- The King of the Jews, who would ‘shepherd’ God’s people. --- Remember that the Lord of hosts said in Zechariah 13:7 “Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, against the Man who is My Companion,” --- So this identifies that the ‘companion’ of the Lord of hosts, who was Christ, would become the Ruler of the Jews.

--- It continues in 9 "And behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was. 10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. 11 And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh."

--- Notice again the wording, the star led them to Bethlehem, “And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother,” --- So Jesus was not a baby in a manger as is often pictured in the ‘Nativity scene,’ but this was some time later when Jesus was a young boy, and Joseph and Mary were living in a house. --- Joseph was a carpenter and was no doubt working. --- So who did the Wisemen come to see, and to worship? --- It was ‘the Christ’ who would become the Shepherd and King of the Jews. --- And there is another evidence of this.

As I said, there is another evidence of Christ as the King of the Jews, and it is the familiar quote from Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a Child is born. Unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”

It says, ‘Unto us a Child is born’ (that was Jesus), ‘Unto us a Son was given’ (that was Christ), --- ‘and the government will be upon His shoulder.’ I will go into all of the names given later, but notice verse 7 “Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.” --- Here again the Lord of hosts has verified this.

There is an interwoven prophecy that may seem confusing in Luke 1:30 Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. 32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”

--- Notice there is a semicolon after ‘Son of the Highest’; from there on it refers to his other name, Immanuel, or Christ, and the wording is about the same as in verse 7. --- ‘Upon the throne of David and over his kingdom’ --- 32b ‘the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.’ --- 7 ‘To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. --- 33 ‘And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.’
--- This would give Mary the knowledge that the angel was talking about the coming Messiah.

Luke 1:34 Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?”
35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.”
--- And in 31 ‘and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus.’ 32 ‘He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest.’

Notice that in both verses it says. “He will be ‘called’ the Son of God,” and “He will be ‘called’ the Son of the Highest.” --- And Jesus has been ‘called’ the Son of God from then till now.

It says, ‘Unto us a Child is born’ (that was Jesus), ‘Unto us a Son was given’ (that was Christ),
No, that's the parallelism common to Hebrew poetry; saying the same thing in two different but similar ways.

I still don't see any evidence that "Christ" came into "Jesus". In other words, I think you're trying to fit your preconceived idea into the text where it doesn't fit.

Hi Dino, thanks for your responses. I appreciate feedback. Many readers have questions but remain silent. --- We never learned these things from the Scriptures, when we were learning from men. --- I learned it the same as you and most others did, and if I had not been given this to write down for you to ponder over, I would perhaps be explaining it the same way. --- But there were too many questions from the ‘pat answers’ that are used, and agreed on by most Evangelicals, for me to accept without studying the Scriptures. --- I have no problem with what Pastors have learned from our Theological Seminaries, as long as they are preaching the Gospel.

I would suggest that rather than looking for things to oppose, --- that you simply check the Scriptures to see what they say. --- While you have trouble seeing that Jesus was born on earth, and Christ came down from heaven. --- Okay, let’s make a comparison: As a Christian, you were born on earth, --- and the Holy Spirit came down from heaven to indwell you. Is that not right?
Peter said “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” --- 17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.” --- So Peter didn’t come to that conclusion from men, but it was a revelation from God. --- Neither the Holy Spirit nor Christ could be seen, so they had to have the Vessel of Jesus’ body, to speak through. Jesus was that Holy Vessel.

The great chapter that reveals the Holy Spirit as another Comforter or Helper is John 14:15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter), that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you."
--- While it was Jesus who spoke, it was Christ speaking through Him, to say that the Holy Spirit was with them, but ‘would be in them,’ which happened on the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2. --- Then they had the ‘power of God,’ as the Holy Spirit was indwelling them.

Where did Paul get his wisdom? --- He was struck down on the road to Damascus and ‘stopped in his tracks’ from persecuting Christians. He was a high ranking Pharisee with perhaps plans to be a High Priest --- He had no Christian theology except to give his amazing testimony in Damascus, Syria, among the Christians there. --- And he could not return to Jerusalem as he was a traitor to the Pharisees.
--- He said later in Galatians 1:11 “But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. 12 For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ. 15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, 16 to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood, 17 nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia, and returned again to Damascus." (Paul, as a tent maker, perhaps worked as he studied.)

18 "Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and remained with him fifteen days. 19 But I saw none of the other apostles except James, the Lord’s brother. 21 Afterward I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia. 22 And I was unknown by face to the churches of Judea which were in Christ. 23 But they were hearing only, 'He who formerly persecuted us now preaches the faith which he once tried to destroy.' 24 And they glorified God in me.”
--- So Paul was accepted among the Gentiles and was teaching with Barnabas in the Church in Antioch, Syria, where they were first called Christians.

2:1 "Then after fourteen years I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and also took Titus with me.--- 6 For those who seemed to be something (leading men in the Church at Jerusalem) added nothing to me. (Meaning that what Paul learned from the Lord in Arabia was in harmony with the teaching of the Apostles.) 7 But on the contrary, when they saw that the gospel for the uncircumcised had been committed to me, as the gospel for the circumcised was to Peter 8 (for He who worked effectively in Peter for the apostleship to the circumcised also worked effectively in me toward the Gentiles), 9 and when James, Cephas (Peter), and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that had been given to me, they gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised (the Jews)."

Hi Dino,
You may think I have a notebook with everything written down to copy and paste, but most of what I write, I don’t even have in mind until the Lord prompts it. To give an example, this morning I used John 14, which speaks of the Holy Spirit, and begins with the theme of a favorite Scripture, verse 6, where Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” While this was spoken through Jesus, it could have a deeper message.

Jesus said, “I am the Way.” --- There is no one who can come to God the Father without accepting Jesus as their Savior, it doesn’t matter what religion they are from, the news of Jesus dying on the cross for the sins of the world is known, and this has to be acknowledged by anyone before they can find Peace with God. --- Jesus means Savior.

The Holy Spirit could say “I am the Truth.” 14:25 These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. --- John 16:13 When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

And Christ could say, “I am the Life.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. --- Colossians 3:1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

I want to apologize to John for having dominated his topic of Melchizedek, but now to conclude the part that involves him as the Priest and King, who taught the law to Abraham, where it all started, and where it is completed in Jesus Christ.

To go again to Zechariah where it speaks of the Branch, 3:8 ‘Hear, O Joshua, the high priest, you and your companions who sit before you, for they are a wondrous sign; for behold, I am bringing forth My Servant the BRANCH.
6:12 “Behold, the Man whose name is the BRANCH! From His place He shall [c]branch out, (c, to the Gentiles) and He shall build the temple of the Lord; 13 Yes, He shall build the temple of the Lord. He shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule on His throne; so He shall be a priest on His throne, and the counsel of peace shall be between [d]them both.” (d, the offices of Priest and King.) --- 13:7 “Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, against the Man who is My Companion,” says the Lord of hosts.

And in the years when the Priests and Kings failed, the Lord of hosts brought forth His Servant, the BRANCH (from the root of Jesse), --- who was His Companion and Shepherd, Christ, the Messiah --- to fill the offices of Priest and King, as Melchizedek had done.
In Malachi 3:1 where the Lord of hosts said, “Behold HE is coming,” --- it means Christ was coming in the place of the Lord of hosts. (So the Lord of hosts is not mentioned in the NT.)

It says in Hebrews 10:5 “Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: “Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a body You have prepared for Me.” And Christ, who could not be seen, needed a physical body in which to dwell, and that Holy body, was Jesus.

--- So Christ was Priest and King until the crucifixion, when the price of blood was paid from the physical body of Jesus, then the soul of Jesus went to heaven to take up the position of High Priest, after the order of Melchizedek, --- as it says in Hebrews 7:21 “The Lord has sworn and will not relent, ‘You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek’ 22 by so much more Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant. Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” --- And finally 8:1 “Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, 2 a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man.”

--- And Christ remained as King, as it says in 1 Corinthians 15:21 For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all (believers) shall be made alive. --- 24 Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. 28 Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.”
Blessings

God's government includes the office of Judge.
The office was the King as Judge . It began when God gave over the faithless Jew to do what they should not of. They had become jealous of all the other surrounding kingdom of the world hoping, glorying in the things seen the temporal (lust of the eye) . Like Saul who proved to be faithless. The peoples choice. And David who name means beloved, God's beloved choice.

David was used as the coming of the Son of man, fleshly Jesus after the order of Melchizedek. . . coming at Pentecost according to Joel. Restoring the order of Judge and Lord to our father not seen.(faith principle) Un seen King of kings . Not after the previous pagan foundation Kings as Lords and Masters in Israel .The abomination of desolation. Call no man on earth Master one unseen is.

Prophets are those who declare the gospel and priest today are those who judge the congregation in a hope it will reflect the glory of the one Father in heaven.

Church discipline (a demonstration to the world) has it place assigned to have elders judge over the flock. But not lord it over. The pagan form of government. The reformation has come . You can be the judge and hope what you offer reflects that of our Father and hope Jesus will apply it to the persons new born again heart or perhaps they might experience it as their first love that they repent and return to when they fall.

A kingdom of priests men and women from all the nations .Revealing our eternal High Priest reigning with a kingdom of priest the believers.. As promised a demonstration of the Father and the Son of man working together to bring the peace of the gospel demonstrated used the corrupted flesh of mankind which could never profit as Jesus said of His own it was signified as sinful (what the eyes see) .Yet Jesus was without sin,.

God is not a man as us.

Hi Dino,
You may think I have a notebook with everything written down to copy and paste, but most of what I write, I don’t even have in mind until the Lord prompts it.

Hi I would offer in regard to what you offered. "Jesus said, “I am the Way.” . . .

There is no one who can come to God the Father without including Jesus the Son of man as their Savior. It is speaking of both seeing it is all one work. . We can see the work of both by observing one.

In the last days God uses the Son of man, Jesus as a living parable . Giving Jesus his prophet and High Priest words to speak and power to move according to the good purpose of the power that worked in him yet without sin.

Jesus had the same available power working in his earthen body of death as we do today .

2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

The same power we have in us with sin. The law of faith according to Jesus labor of love performed that in which the letter of the law "death" could not , bring new spirit life.

The prophets as priests are represented by that in which the eyes see the temporal . God typified as father represents the unseen eternal holy place of the unseen glory . Jesus spoke the words the father put on his lip. it is written again and again and the father of lies flees at the rebuke of our father in heaven .The Son of man Jesus resisted standing in that holy place throughout his life a suffering Savior giving us his eternal rest.

It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. John 6:45

We hear from Jesus the temporal and learn from the unseen father the eternal . In that way both working as one is the "one way " the truth, the Life.
