Welcome to CC, Anthony. :)

I'm not sure if you're wanting to start a discussion on a particular "harsh reality" or to ask others what the "harsh reality" is that they are facing (or avoiding). Perhaps you can clarify?

Well it’s a general discussion on harsh realities of life that most people deny, but once you accept it life becomes much easier

Thanks.

For me then, the answer is "repentance"... at least, it used to be, until I learned (from experience) that owning my sin as such was the fastest way to get past it.

Hmm, harsh realities that you need to accept...

You are not any more special than anybody else. We're all born thinking we are the center of the universe. Most of us confront this belief and figure out there are other people who matter just as much as, or more than, we matter. Some few humans never really comprehend this.

God loves everybody... even the people I can't stand! This one will change how you deal with people when you really comprehend it. Until then, it feels monstrously unfair. Or rather, we would prefer it be unfair in our favor.

The people in charge don't really know any better than you how to run things. They're just trying their best to handle situations as they come up, just like you would. THIS is a scary one! It is also the reason conspiracy theories are so popular - it is much more comforting to believe the people in power have some kind of plan, any kind of plan.

@Lynx I’m siding with you. I think 🤔 living under the shadows of society we tend to forget our true identity

The righteous perishes, and no man takes it to heart; merciful men are taken away, while no one considers that the righteous is taken away from evil. He shall enter into peace; they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.
(Isaiah 57:1-2)

That we are all gonna die?

I suppose having faith depends on whether you go up or down.

We should evaluate our needs and always put them before our wants, instead of letting the lust of the eye, the pride of life and the desire of the flesh lead us.
