I'll repost these statements from other threads in case you missed them:
there is a lot of misunderstand and fear about a lot of topics and people should remember that GOD did not give us a spirit of Fear but of POWER, LOVE and Sound MInds. the HOLY Spirit who is within us is GREATER then any power outside.
We don't need others to do what GOD can do for us. We just need faith in the promise of GOD and KNOWLEDGE of God's Holy Word and promises through study of the BIBLE and not regurited words of pastors and people, we need GOD's WORDs in our minds, hearts and souls so that we can worship GOD with our Whole heart body, souls and lives.
Thank you siverwind for this statement, it sums it up bueatifully "Prophets were God's mouthpiece.... Prophesy are God's spoken words. That's all"
we can all speak prophesy into people's lives by telling them "if you invite Jesus in your life as your Lord and Savior and ask for Him to forgive your sins and send the Holy Spirit, then He will, and your life will be forever changed."
and since the request to bring criticism to this thread and not someone else out of respect was ignored by Paulnsilas, I will post my rebuttal of the same claims that Zone seems to be echoing (that I am a false prophetess, blah blah and the other lies she likes to repeat)
Romans 12:3-14 (New King James Version)
Serve God with Spiritual Gifts
3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. 4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, 5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. 6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; 7 or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; 8 he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
Behave Like a Christian
9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. 10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; 11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; 13 distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
According to our measure of faith and grace God has given all His children spiritual gifts, It is evident through your words and your post you have the spiritual gift of knowledge(mostly borrowed and of false doctrines and cut and pasted by other authors but we'll let that go for now) and I will pray that He gives you wisdom and understanding of things beyond what you narrow mindedly perceive is reality.
You're favorite past time seems to be to twist words to fit whatever perverted vision you feel like spouting off today, but I am not offended in that you don't twist my words alone but everyone else's even God's Holy Bible.
the common argument from cessation is that the gift of tongues was to convince the Jews, but they are mistaken. Tongues are a spoken language in the world to spread the Gospel to all corners of the world and tell them about Jesus. the FAKE speaking in tongues you seem to think I believe (which I do NOT) is nothing more than play acting or worse. True speaking in tongues still happen to missionaries in distant countries who do not know the language but will start speaking it fluently to the masses and thus they will believe in the message: Jesus died for your sin on the Cross of calvary and Rose again, if you but believe and call upon Him He will send you His Holy Spirit to live inside your heart.
When you wake up in the morning, do you pray and ask God what you should do with your day?
When you encounter a problem do you pray or do you lean on your own understanding?
I do NOT run around telling people they are demon possessed (or hypocrites as you seem to enjoy doing.)
I pray to God and He casts them out and then I sit with the person and LISTEN. what a novel concept, perhaps you should try it sometime.
you might learn how the forces of darkness attacks every day people, you might hear about how their husband beats them, how their mom is on drugs, how they are pregnant and their boyfriend has abandoned them.
then I give them scripture and reassure that God loves them, and cares about their troubles and encourage them to pray to Him.
I don't see demons around every soup corner.
I see darkness crushing the hopes and dreams of every day people who most are to self righteous and busy telling me that I need medication and be checked into mental insitution to pay attention to.
I hear them crying inside even though they smile and the rest of the world accepts that fake mask.
I simply take the time to LISTEN to their story, which you have obviously already stated that you do not care to hear.
Judge me if you like, but look inside your own heart if you wish to see a hyprocrite and someone who twists scripture so she doesn't have to do anything but be a thorn in my side. I will pray for you, "But you can repent you know. He might have mercy"
or you can stay in your "peaceful life" and continue to ignore the weeping of the people who suffer around you.
