Do not look for romance! Soul mate etc. Somebody on here said that “men play at love to get sex, while women play at sex to get love”. Search for The Lord’s will for your partner, and make sure they’re a Christian (berean style) and you will have peace 😁
The quote was, “Boys play at love...

Granted some boys never grow up. It was a comment pertaining to adolescence and the introduction to stronger hormones and emotions. I think you mentoring the younger women is fantastic! I’m sure you’ve attained a wealth of wisdom that will very much be a light to the young ladies of CC.

This is really good advice, RY.

May I ask:

1. How did you wean yourself off the romantic ideals?

2. How were you able to "stop looking" -- what did you start doing instead?

3. How did you feel when you stopped? Did you feel like you were missing out, or did you feel better, and why?

(I'm just asking because these are all questions that pertain to my life right now; I'm very interested to hear about yours.) :)

Which ‘qualifications’ does she need, in your opinion?
well, what I'm saying is that someone who has been walking the faith walk longer will (or SHOULD )know more about what the Word says on certain subjects.
Example:
If a woman in her 30's has been walking with Jesus for 20 years, she will know more and be "qualified" (as you put it) than someone in her 50's who has only found the Lord and been walking a month or two would.

Has nothing to do with age or life's experiences is all I'm saying.
Yes, older woman with life experience should stand up and say "been there, done that, here's what to watch out for"
HOWEVER, a female of ANY age would be wise to get their biblical information from someone who has been in it longer.

Don't know how many more ways I can put this.

Are you an older woman godsgirl?
first off, God is with a CAPITOL "G", (my God is above every other)
and to answer your question, what is your definition of "older" ?

I worked with somebody and had an instant connection. I flirted harmlessly???. I’d already met two ‘soulmates’ before, so know the old ‘one soulmate for everyone’ is rubbish...I started to struggle with my thoughts (sexual).
I was trying to take every thought captive, praying & listening to scripture/hymns at work, but for most nights, I couldn’t sleep. The spiritual/mental battle was immense, then I had a breakdown (doc said-lack of sleep). Nothing physical happened & I left that job asap.
it was entirely demonic. The person showed me a photo of his ‘bits’ (romantic??) If just looking, affected me so much mentally & physically, I don’t ever want to look again (if your right eye causes you to sin).

The Lord forgave me, my husband hasn’t. Flirting is adultery! Do I feel better? 🤔
Obviously it a different story if you're single, but I should have given this man a wide berth.
He was not a Christian.

He's my Heavenly Daddy, and no matter how old I become on this earth He will always be so;

If you want to try and imply that I'm just some young girl running around the internet that doesn't have anything between my head and knows nothing, then I suggest you get to know me better.

I grew up in a church where all the OLDER women wanted to instruct the younger. All it really was were a bunch of old bitter ladies, with what their opinion of things in life was. NOTHING BIBLICAL. "Oh we don't want you going through heart ache" Meddling in relationships that were hardly even friendships. Sad thing, all these years later almost every one of them is divorced, kids grew up to be running streets, all sorts of horrible things.

But hey, they were "Older" so had the "qualifications" and "rights" to be teaching.......

not at all...I was implying that you may be older ‘than a girl’ and if so, should act your age. A mature person would have seen through that 😁

 how can you tell me to act my age when you don't know what my age is?
I'll tell you what I can see through......

I can see through the BS of "older" people who think their age gives them rights to certain things,
when in reality they are just trying to relive what they feel has been "lost" or "wasted" through the life of someone else.

I will not continue this conversation with you in public forums, as you seem to just be looking for a cat fight with your "comebacks".
However, if you want to carry this on in private, then feel free to message me about it.

sorry, but I don't throw scripture around in debates to try and "prove" what I'm saying.
I put my 2 cents in, you want to do exactly what you are trying to quote scripture on above, and I have nothing left to say to you.
I told you how to continue this discussion alone if you so wish to.
If not, then enough is enough.
Your quoting and throwing scripture around in an argumentative "I'm right , you'r wrong" way is much better suited for the Bible Discussion Forum (BDF)

*side note, even Satan (mis)quoted scripture.......

Having worked with children of various ages, I now believe that Homeschooling (or Christian schooling) is the only way for primary children.

Primary socialisation is 0-5 ish, so the truth should be taught via parents from the outset.
Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.

That way, they won’t be indoctrinated by the lie of evolution etc.

By the time they reach high school, they are in a good position to question all matters of faith (and they do) 😁

I would actually like to ask the women out there -- does absolutely every woman turn into a nightmare during "that time of the month"?

This has actually always puzzled me most of my life. I guess it's because I never grew up with my Mom telling me this and she was never any different, nor did she talk about it much except as an inconvenience, even though I know she had her own challenges. I have some medical concerns that I know in some women, result in extremely painful cycles, and I've had some struggles here and there, but I honestly never thought it was a matter of turning into a monster every month.

Maybe I'm just off my rocker?

My last boyfriend (but granted, that was many, many years ago) actually told me I was nicer during that time, lol.

Probably because one is in a bit of pain while all of that is going on, so maybe I was just weakened and had lost some of my fight.
You can ask women if they’re a nightmare...but they won’t admit it 😐

Dressing modestly; (1 Timothy 2:9)
When I was younger, I would go out with my v. attractive friend, dressed immodestly. I wanted the same attention that she got...i was a Christian!
I have now had to repent for presenting myself in such a way, as to likely make young men spill their seed. (Genesis 38:9)
Please consider other people’s spiritual state before dressing to leave the house. 😐
