I"m glad you brought that up because those verses make it seem like this is taking place right at the same time that Jesus came because the verses say that "you broke my covenant". The Old Covenant ended with the coming of Christ.

You should know that the 4th of anything is not in the physical realm. The 4th dimension is ALWAYS the spiritual realm.
Eph 3:18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the 1) breadth, and 2) length, and 3)depth, and 4) height;
God is in the (4th) HEIGHT of heaven.
Jesus is our high priest yet he came from the 4th son, Judah and not the 3rd son Levi. Christs' priesthood is a HEAVENLY priesthood.
The list goes on and on. All the Old Testament stories are SHADOWS of real things to come. We don't go back to shadows when the real has come. You're view of God accepting the blood of bulls and goats means that Jesus blood WASN'T ENOUGH. Pure blasphemy in my opinion.
You're even told specifically that we are the LIVELY STONES that make up the SPIRITUAL house of God. We are even told that we make SPIRITUAL SACRIFICES in the SPIRITUAL house of God.
(1Pe 2:5) Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
That's just "pie in the sky" spiritual mumbo jumbo to you, it means nothing. Take that verse and apply it to Ezekiel FORTY (4th).
I'm sorry but what does it have to do with Jesus? They broke the convenant, okay... but HOW does this point to Jesus times?
When Jesus came the Old Covenant God made with Israel ended. They are now under the New Covenant.
"In addition to all your other detestable practices, you brought foreigners uncircumcised in heart and flesh into my sanctuary, desecrating my temple while you offered me food, fat and blood, and you broke my covenant."
"And you broke my covenant" is talking abut the Jews breaking the Old Covenant. Below is the New Covenant, people can't break the new covenant because there's nothing to break, God did it all.
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
The measurements are not symbolic but are literal measurements. This temple has not yet been constructed.
Israel is a country that exists today and will play a major role of end-time events. There is no verse that explicitly states that Israel is Christ and the Church. Just because you believe that scripture implied such a thing does not necessarily make it then a statement of truth.
If every page that was disagreed with was torn out of the bible there would be few pages left in the bible, except perhaps the Song of Solomon and excerpts of Jonah.
(Gal 6:15) For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
(Gal 6:16) And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.
This does not state at all that Israel is God but rather refers to the Israel of God. As you may be aware of, Israel is the apple of God's eye. as stated in scripture.
This still has NOTHING to do with Jesus... They broke the covenant many times. That's God speaking to Ezekiel around 900 BCE. Seriously how does that mean it's under New Covenant? How can you come with such conclusion from these words? :O
It it's to be built, why all the sacrifices?
Perhaps the sacrifices are part of the Jewish religious ritual before they acknowledge Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
“For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.” Acts 3:22–23 (KJV 1900)

That's all fine and dandy Dave but does not address the claim that Israel is Christ and the Church. The reference to the land actually supports the physical existence of Israel in regards to end-time events.
In Jesus, all the promises are yes. So they do not belong to the unbelievers.
I can't argue against that but again, my post was in response to a member claiming that scripture states that Israel is Christ and the Church. The verses provided by this member said nothing of the sort.
Scripture reveals that Jesus IS Israel as is the Church. We are the people called by his name. This will make a good thread if you want to discuss it further.
As Christians they would be in a dark place in need of light. Not a requirement for salvation but a indication how ones hears or say they hear. In most case they literalize the golden measure of faith and make it about the measure of men. those of the number or you could say the Pharisees with Sadaucesss
