You should provide evidence that it is not the word of truth. Evidence has been given against the new versions.
You make the assertion, you provide the evidence. That's how it works. If you don't like it, don't make assertions that you aren't prepared to support.

It may have been at that time, I don't know. Maybe it wasn't, maybe it was like the NASB translators trying to translate God's word outside of God.
On what basis do you make this assertion? Were you there? Can you prove your accusation? Or, as with so many KJVo claims, do you think that the assertion of it is evidence enough?

What motivates your crusade?? Even your handle is "KJV1611"! What is your personal reason for going on and on and on..?
Is not the word of truth that important to you? If you truly believed God has preserved His words for us today, wouldn’t you want to read and study from it? Wouldn’t you want to tell others?

That it is the pure, perfect, exact words of God. It isn't; it's just a translation. If you have proof -- real, verifiable proof that it is the pure, perfect, exact words of God.-- then let's see it. Don't just take a quote out of context -- two verses from a single psalm -- and say that applies to a translation created thousands of words later.

How about 2 Peter 2:1? "But false prophets arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you." How do we know you're not just teaching falsely, as Peter prophesied.
Well who would be the more likely false teacher, the guy who says that all of your bibles are wrong and their not the "real" word of God or the one that says the words of the Lord are pure words, inerrant, from this generation forward?

You are proving my point right now, the bible flat out told you that the words of the Lord are pure words preserved forever and you DENY IT. You think all bibles are wrong therefore when the bible says God preserved his words forever, you don't believe it. Why? Why don't you believe that God preserved his word FOREVER just like he said he would do?

I have given much evidence over the years. Evidence doesn’t matter to you and others. Your convinced that we do not have access to the ppreserved words of God.

So the words of the Lord are preserved from this generation forever.

Not "preserved forever", as you and all KJV-only proponents read it. That you all misread the text is rather telling.
The more we go on about the more you amaze me. I'm quoting scripture, didn't you recognize it?

(Psa 12:7) Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

I think that's why you think I'm an idiot, most of what I say is paraphrased verses from the bible and you don't know the verses.

Man you go directly against what the bible says when you say we don't have the perfect word of God. God promised to preserve his word for EVERY GENERATION.

What is my reason for going on.... to counter the lies that spew out of your mouth, telling people their bibles are incomplete and full of lies. Dipsticks like you kept me from believing every word in my bible for years. If I can prevent one person from the heresy that you guys are spreading then that's one more person just like me that can have 100% faith in the word of God.
Aside from your personal insults, the reason finally comes out! People -- I won't repeat your personal slander -- "kept" you from believing every word in your Bible? So, it's just a personal vendetta against people you supposedly prevented you from believing? What did they do, put you in a chair and caned you: "bad believer, bad believer"?

If you have 100% faith in the word of God, why don't you believe Jesus two commandments: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is: Love your neighbor as yourself.’

From your beloved KJV, "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Perhaps it was a symbolic interpretation. :)

This is a typical KJV-only discussion. Their arguments get debunked and the proponents respond with personal attacks or comments of increasing silliness.

I honestly don't think the KJV-only position can be defended rationally, which is why irrational arguments are used so consistently.

Again, if you prefer the KJV, good; read it and follow it. But please, spare the rest of us your tirades, insults, and profundly bad arguments.

I'm arrogant because I know something and I admit that I know it. How is that arrogance? Should I just lie a pretend that Dino's unbiblical stance on the bible is right when I know it's wrong?

I'm not arrogant at all, I'm just not afraid to say what's on my mind and stand against lies about the bible.
Which part of my stance is unbiblical? Step up with evidence, since you know, and you're not afraid to say so.

a) I didn't say you are an idiot. That is false. Matthew 5:37, "Let your word be ‘Yes, yes’ or ‘No, no.’ More than this is from the evil one."

b) "most of what I say is paraphrased verses from the bible" FINALLY YOU ARE ADMITTING IT!

Wasn't that originally written in Hebrew, making all English versions a translation?

You have given evidence that the new versions differ from the KJV; that is all. You have not provided evidence that they are not the word of truth. You have set up a standard of "truth" that is not accepted by all. Nobody is obligated to respond to your challenge.

You still have not responded to the proof that the KJV contained sidenotes with alternate readings.

Well said! Thank you for saying this truth about KJV1611 and other KJVOs.

To the bolded... NO IT DOES NOT. Go back and read it again and again and again, until you actually SEE the four words IN BETWEEN "preserve" and "forever" that completely undermine your claim.

Yes they're all translations. God is capable of translation.
My congregation made a choice to go to the ESV many years ago, a fact I do not find pleasing at all  I have been involved in a number of comparative study endeavors and discovered many things not to like about quite a few translations :censored:
