Ok, new rule of thumb for me... If you want me to reply to ANYTHING you say, don't "quote" me and then unquote, quote again, then unquote. Quote my whole post and reply to it.. it's SUPER annoying to read your replies.

I believe they're a grave sin. Including for married people. There's only really one instance of contraception spoken of in the Scriptures and that is regarding Onan. He practiced coitus interruptus to avoid getting his dead brother's wife pregnant and giving his deceased brother an heir and for that was struck down because what he did was considered abominable in God's eyes. Now, there are many who say that his sin was that of selfishness and that's why he was killed, but the prescribed punishment for not giving his brother an heir was public humiliation, not death. He was killed because of the act of contraception.

And to say that we should just give up on college kids because they're just going to have sex anyways is highly insulting to them. They are not mere animals incapable of exercising self control. Implying otherwise demeans their intelligence.

Yet, one must say that they are no perfect cure for the natural consequences of promiscuity and extramarital sex. Moreover, a person who uses condoms is more likely to have unprotected sex since one becomes increasingly uninhibited.

I would LOVE to see where you got this information, because the studies I've read have shown that those that are taught abstinence are far more likely to have unprotected sex and cause/become pregnant at an unwanted age. Same for STDs.

During marriage isn't what I'm concerned about. In America we have this idea of, "oh no a problem, quick, throw something at it!" We throw money, condoms, or whatever is near by in hopes that the problem will go away.

Should they learn about condoms? Sure. I don't have a problem with that, but ultimately I think the parents should take an active role when informing them of sexual topics. Parents need to get to their kids first on every topic, before anyone else does.

It's this "throw condoms at them" stuff that really bothers me. Especially when a slippery slope begins. It started in the high schools, "oh, boys will be boys, have some condoms" and now it's in the elementary schools.

Children as young as 11 years old are encouraged to get free condoms sent to them, compliments of the Philadelphia Public Health Department.

Well, actually, I'd probably encourage the man to abstain from sexual relations for the sake of his wife's health. After all, while he WANTS to have sex, he doesn't NEED to have sex. We're not mere animals who are ruled by our libido. We're quite capable of refraining from sexual activity for a variety of reasons.

Thats not how it works. You cannot simply dismiss an argument (many people hold and think its valid). Do you disagree on the nature of sexuality? Or do you think that its okay to encourage 12 year olds to have sex by creating creating the illusion of safety? Availability increases use. In almost every case.

erm that is how is work if you havent tested your theory or provided a source showing evidence confirming your theory it is meaningless you are just asuming that telling a child about condoms will make him go and have sex what your saying is just your opinion not fact and yes i think its ok to tell kids about condom and tell him that if it ever comes down to it i rather he use a condom.

its better than saying hey your not to have sex till your married and never tell him about condoms.

at a certain age we have to stop protecting kids from making mistakes they have to make them to learn about the world them selves but what we can do is make sure they make those mistakes safely.

You misunderstand me. I'm talking about distributing condoms at school. Telling children about condoms is reasonable! Moreover, condoms are not inherently evil! Yet condoms will not solve the problem. Promiscuity is the problem. The fact that availability increases use is a truism and applies to almost everything.
