Read this whole post or you're going to miss the whole point.

There are a lot of common sayings that have become attached to names.
When somebody annoying leaves: "Bye Felicia."
When somebody is nosy: "Mind your own business Carole."
When somebody is yakking about health junk, again: "Nobody cares about your diet Susan!"

This is yet another reader participation thread from your friendly neighborhood Lynx, inviting you to make one for your name. Use either your real name or your user name. What do you hear people say to you a lot?

Please let's keep it to our own names. If we start making phrases for other people, the acrimony level might rise VERY fast.

When somebody cracks yet another bad joke: "Hush Lynx."

This is often said by Lynx himself, because he knows somebody is about to say it so he says it first.

*Krumbeard rolls his eyes.
LYNX: "Yay!"
*Lynx grabs the eyes and goes off to make some eye salad.
LYNX: "Yum!"
LYNX: "Needs a bit more mayo.
KRUMBEARD: ...
LYNX: "Hush Lynx."

Karen is the one I hear lately, a reasonably attractive 40 something woman. But apparently she isn't allowed to voice her opinion anymore iu-28.jpeg

I haven't heard of Felicia or Carole, but Susan is the lady who gives the cues in the click tracks our church music teams use. Susan's word is Law, but we aren't above changing the Law to suit our rendition of the song. Amazingly, Susan doesn't complain.
