“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭

Hope these scriptures clarify that there is only one gospel it was preached in Israel by Jesus who then anointed his followers who believed into all the world to share the promises of eternal
Life in the kingdom

There is no distinction between Jew and gentile God bless many doctrines exist ....but Jesus the Lord preached only one and sent only one into the world for salvation
So, in your view, water baptism is required for salvation for us too?

Sure Jesus even preached of his death for sin and resurrection his ascension to the right hand of God the disciples were sent out preaching the gospel before the cross indeed

“And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭9:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

there’s only the one true gospel Jesus was the one announced to preach it and then anointed his followers

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭4

I’m my view what Jesus Christ said is required for salvatiion he is the lord and one mediator only savior .

I’m not looking for a baptism debate sorry this thread has a subject which is why I quoted that section of verse

personally I do believe baptism is necessary and Paul explains why as well as peter but that’s for a different thread if you want to start one so we don’t get this persons thread off track

Alright then, thanks, I just want to clarify what your salvation doctrine is, so that I could understand the context of your post.

Yet, they had no understanding of the gospel that Paul taught; the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus for sins.

Luke 18:
31 Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
32 For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:
33 And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.
34 And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.

The gospel of the kingdom was for the Jews only. It included the promised restoration of Israel's kingdom.

Yeah I believe when Jesus was anointed at baptism he began preaching the gospel and forgiving sinners and when he died on the cross all he preached became the eternal gospel unchanged and preached by all who followed

um I didn’t say they had understanding of his death I showed you they preached the gospel and ....no you don’t read Paul much apparently

to the church he wrote

“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:

the church is the kingdom friend gentiles were added into the kingdom before you begin arguing this just consider that Paul’s mystery was this

“How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,

Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3:3, 5-6‬ ‭

the gospel of the kingdom is what Paul preached as well friend to both Jew and gentile

“And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭28:30-31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

many other examples also but there’s one gospel was preached by Jesus then Jesus sent Israel into all the world to preach the same gospel to all people it’s always been what he promised since Abraham to bless all peoples through Abraham’s seed .... the kingdoms citizens are whoever accepts the gospel of the kingdom

I think his point is that the gospel the 12 were preaching to Israel in Luke 9:6 was that Israel's promised King and Son of God is finally here in the flesh.

So the message in that gospel is "Change your minds, believe in Jesus as that promised Son of God, and you will have eternal life in his name (John 20:31)"

But now, none of us should be preaching that to unbelievers. And no, Paul was not preaching that gospel to the gentiles. That is not the gospel that saves today.

Instead, our gospel today is based on 1 Cor 15:1-4.

wow so what about this

it’s based on what Jesus the savior said it’s based upon . He then as I’ve shown said go teach all people of the world everything I taught you whoever believes and is baptized will be saved

“Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭21:42-

“And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers, Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it. And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves. And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭28:25-31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Israel rejected the kingdom it was sent to the world the same offer they had its the entire message of the New Testament those few who believed were sent out with the same offer to all people based on who would believe

another point the kingdom of God is not of this earth Israel will never be restored on this earth consider this is why we need salvation

“Behold, the Lord maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.

The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the Lord hath spoken this word.

The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.

The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly. The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭24:1, 3, 5-6, 17, 19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that’s what mans dominion under law led to its why we have now an offer of salvation everything flesh and physical is condemned even the earth so God sent the savior to offer entrance into his eternal kingdom which will appear when he returns to destroy this one

this is the Christian hope and this is the boundary of Gods promised kingdom within believers

“But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:7, 10, 13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

For your point about water baptism, it was meant for the nation Israel.

Do you recall Exodus 19:3-6?

3 And Moses went up unto God, and the Lord called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;

4 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.

5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

Israel was suppose to be a nation of priests under the gospel of the kingdom.

So when the King is finally right there in their midst, the beginning of the 4 gospels time period, what the 12 were preaching to Israel, in Luke 9:6 is, once Israel repent and believe in Jesus as their King, they are required to be water baptized, so that the entire nation can be priests.

What will happen next then, you might ask? Zechariah 8 has the OT prophecy about this

1Thus saith the Lord of hosts; I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury.

3 Thus saith the Lord; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the Lord of hosts the holy mountain.

7 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country;

8 And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.

When Jesus returns and dwell in Jeruslaem, he will first bring all "his people", which represents the Jews, to gather with him, and he will be their God.

20 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities:

21 And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the Lord, and to seek the Lord of hosts: I will go also.

22 Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord.

23 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.

After national repentance and water baptism, all his people, who are the Jews, will become priests, as Exodus 19:6 indicated, and after that, then people from all other nations will come to the holy mountain, thru all the Jews.

That was why Jesus reminded the 11, after he resurrected, to preach to Israel that they must both believe AND be water baptized. It was meant for Israel to fulfill the OT prophecy of them being a nation of priests.

That is the gospel of the kingdom.

Preaching to Israel was simply THE STARTING POINT. So you are not giving full disclosure here. Therefore here is the order for the Great Commission:
1. Jerusalem
2. Judea
3. Samaria
4. The uttermost parts of the earth -- all nations -- every creature.

So you are essentially PERVERTING the truth about the Gospel of the Kingdom and claiming that it was only for Israel. Paul has already refuted that notion in Acts 28:28-31, and water baptism remains a Christian ordinance even to this day.

28 Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.
29 And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.
30 And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him,
31 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

I believe I have addressed your false doctrine before at least a couple of times, but you refuse to give it up.

Chill, you are always so eager to jump in and criticize without first seeking to understand. I was putting Mark 16:16 in context.

You are not contradicting my point. You are describing what happen when nation Israel rejected their gospel of the kingdom. That was when God raised Paul to preach the gospel of the grace of God to the gentiles.

The contents of that gospel is now based on 1 Cor 15:1-4 and no longer based on the promise of Jesus ruling the world from Jerusalem.

Our main disagreement is that you still believe that water baptism is required for Christians today, while I disagree.

So let me ask that question again to you,

"What do you think is the gospel of the kingdom? What are the contents in that message?"

It seems you are equating what Paul talks about as the kingdom of God into being equivalent to the gospel of the kingdom. So I am curious what you regard as the gospel of the kingdom.

What good news is contained inside that "gospel"?

Our main disagreement is that you still believe that water baptism is required for Christians today, while I disagree.[/QUOTE
So, in your view, water baptism is required for salvation for us too?
a

My thing is this Jesus view is what matters . Baptism is an act of faith what I mean is faith according to scripture Means God says something and you believe it and it comes to pass because God said it and we believe it .

Jesus is the Lord the chosen one salvation is his alone resurrection is his his word is like this my dear friend

“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭

now this is Gods word and the faith of a man

“And the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.

And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭10:21-22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

this principle is throughout scripture anytime anyone does what God says to do , what he said will be IS thats faith if it’s Gods decree about anything it is certain

Jesus word is Gods word in full authority from the moment he receives the Holy Ghost at baptism . He says to a dead man “ Lazarus come out “ and the dead man rises up . He says to a dead girl “ little girl I say to you get up , and she gets up “

he says to a great sinner you are forgiven , and she is forgiven and saved , a centurion roman says “ lord if you say the word my servant will live “ and Jesus says such great faith , go he will live and he lived .

he says to the winds and waves peace be still , and they obey him . He says to disease be gone and it is , he says to demons go away and they must ...... so doesn’t faith tell us this is true and obviously doesn’t just apply to Israel ?

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭

faith doesn’t then say “ I wonder if I should get baptized ? It’s like Noah saying “ should I actually build the ark ? He believed God so he did what he said and was saved like he said . That’s all we have to do is realize Jesus is Lord no
One else and his word is infallibly true

the gospel is what Jesus said it is.....

have you ever read the four gospel accounts ? The gospel of Matthew , the gospel of mark , the gospel of like ? The gospel according to John ?

the kingdom of God is everything Jesus preached from this moment

“Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

everything from that time until he died and rose up is the gospel of the kingdom of God it’s really not a
Matter of my opinion and yours why don’t you just accept what a God said ?

Have faith in Jesus everything he said is for sure.... anyways this seems like you are just avoiding all the scripture I’m giving and going in circles so I appreciate the time you took and God bless

so now there are two different kingdoms ..... anywhere in the Bible someone is saying “ the gospel “ the gospel of the kingdom “ the gospel of the kingdom of God “ the gospel of our salvation “ the gospel of hope “ the gospel of grace “ the gospel of our lord Jesus Christ “ the gospel of the blessed God “ the gospel of God “ Any of those terms in scripture are referring to the one true and only gospel......

This is the type of thing Paul taught the church

“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:19-21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Remember now inheritance in the kingdom happens when Jesus returns and gathers all nations of the earth to either receive the kingdom or inherit eternal damnation there’s only the kingdom of God or the fate of this earth

But Jesus himself announced his first coming was only for the lost sheep of the house of Israel (Matthew 15:24)
The lost sheep rejected Him and had Him put to death and His teaching that was initially to them is now for all mankind.

Exactly it always was foretold that way in prophecy through Israel’s rejection of the messiah the people of the earth would be offered salvation

But when "this gospel is for every body" happen?
Jesus was the Jewish Messiah, but He had come to offer salvation to everybody and was to be a “light for the Gentiles” (Isaiah 42:6). So Gentiles can call on Jesus, because “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Acts 2:21)
