I do not hold to Lordship salvation or Easy believism ( the way Calvnists present easy believeism that is ) We all conclude their are false converts within . The bible is clear on this . I believe this can come about through many false teachings . I see more evidence its through Lordship salvation, because the ' doing ' is easily self generated. And recently the 'deconversion ' account of Derick webb , who is a famous ex calvinst singer song writer , his testimony is a great example of the issues with Calvinism creating false converts and a hardening to the truth of rhe Gospel
( the last 20 mins is the part )
. I don't think its hard to believe. Of course its not just mental ascent to historical facts . But the historical facts are important . Its believing from the Heart . Romans 10 .9
Rom 5.2
Roughly from the 50min mark .

For anyone who's interested i think this video explains some of the issues with Calvinism . This is an interview with Derick Webb ,who is now an atheist/ agnostic but formerly a famous singer song writer, professing Calvinist. I think what he says exposes some of the logical consequences of Calvinism and Lordship salvation .
Starting about the 50 min mark onwards is the key parts .

I appreciate your thoughts thank you ..
what would you say we are predestined to or for?
I believe we were all predestined to be with the Lord forever.

The scriptures tell us all have sinned. There is not one righteousness no not one. Scripture also tells us that we have a just God. A righteous and true holy God. In my way of thinking if we were all created in his image then would he value one soul over another? Would one be greater than another?
I would never pretend to even know the thoughts of God but this is how his word that I do know spoke to me. If God is no respector of persons is he a respector of souls?
If he had predestined some for glory and some for damnation then why would he go to the great lengths that he did to pay the ransom and secure our salvation?

I believe God has reconciled the whole world and that sin is no longer the barrier to God anymore, for anyone. But the issue is that unless a person receives Jesus they will not be glorified. Without Glorification no one can be saved and go to heaven . The only other option is hell . Which was not created for man , but for the devil and fallen angels. God has provided the way that no one needs to go there .

Reconciliation is a two-way street. God addressed the corruption of sin through the blood of atonement, which opens the door for addressing the guilt of sin through repentance. Sin itself is no longer an issue, but culpability for sin still is. This is what separates those who perish and those who are saved. The cross is not some kind of magical get-out-of-jail free card but an opportunity to be forgiven and live according to God's precepts afresh.

Rubbish. Christ did it all. There is nothing you can offer to God that Christ did not already accomplish for you. All your righteousness are filthy rags in the presence of God.

We do have a duty to live for Christ but we in no way add to what He has already done. Grace is a one way street, the narrow and hard way that yields eternal salvation.

Christ is not culpable for my sin, I am. He did all that I could never accomplish, but I must own the guilt of my own sin and repent of it. Remember, the one who sins will die. Christ didn't sin for me, I did that all on my own. My guilt cannot be transfered to the guiltless, and to accuse God of holding the innocent guilty for my sins is to accuse God of injustice.

According to Scripture, Those predestined to Salvation are already glorified. In the mind of God.

Rom 8:30 and whom he foreordained, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. (past tense). The guarantee of the future event.

Yes those predestined to the adoption are as good as Glorified from God's perspective. Only those After believing are then and only then because they are then in Christ After believing ( eph 1.13-14 ) Then after the sealing of the Holy Spirit the person at that point AFTER believing the Gospel. AFTER receiving Jesus ( John 1.12 ) After all of this they are predestined to the Adoption which is described clearly in Rom 8.23 . Which is a FUTURE event guaranteed for all those in Christ . No one is predestined to be put in Christ . its once the person becomes in Christ they are predestined to the adoption ,future redemption of the body . Election is simply to service.

My understanding is based more on a comprehensive reading of Scripture rather than taking meaning from single verses. One of the key threads for my understanding is God's response to Job, the fact that there are future judgments and the book of Leviticus for what atonement means and what it addresses.

That is not even sound logic. It flies in the face of what predestination means, whether we are talking about Scripture or any other form of an "Ology".

Future Judgement is based on not Believing on Jesus . The books are opened. But its THE book in which is the deciding book . Who's names are in or out . rev 20 ..15And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
The only fact that decides that a name is written in the book of life is not because of sin . Its because they are not ' In Christ ' . If a name is blotted out its because of rejecting Jesus .

Nope . it flies in face of Augustine, Calvin , Beza Gottschalk, and the rest of those that followed Augustine. Just read Romans 8.23 and ask your self ' what does it say ' ?

Disobedience and unbelief are intrinsically linked through the whole Bible. There is no sin except unbelief, whether before or after the cross as all unbelief manifests as sin and all sin is caused by unbelief. Adam and Eve weren't guilty simply because they ate the fruit, but because they called God a liar.

Not quite . 1 John 3:4
King James Version
4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
