David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them: Rom.11:9
He's quoting Psa.69, where the Spirit said,
Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous. Psa.69:28
But this Psalm describes anyone who rejects Jesus, whether Jew or gentile and anyone who does will be damned.
agree, but in Romans 11, ”them refers to Isreal”
The "mystery" is this,
understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ, which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit. that the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel Eph.3:4-6
No it isn't a future event. it's about Jesus's sacrifice,
And he said to them, "This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many. Mk.14:24
And because of his sacrifice,
For this is the covenant that I wil
make with the house of Israel after those days....and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. Heb.8:10,12
again your twisting the words, Paul told us what the mystery was.
25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be
ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own [
f]opinion,
that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26 And so all Israel will be [g]saved, as it is written:
“The Deliverer will come out of Zion,
And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;
27 For this
is My covenant with them,
When I take away their sins.”
THIS mystery is the blindness of Israel, not the mystery of the church, Paul said specifically, lest you be gnorant of THIS MYSTERY
you my friend, are doing exactly what Paul warned us not to do
No, this isn't a future event. Peter spoke to his countrymen who were blind to the truth and said,
And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers....Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities. Act.3:17,26
They repented and their were forgiven.a
paul is talking future not past, why are you going to acts? the deliverer WILL COME. If Paul was speaking of Christ and his death he would have said the deliver had come and redeemed them and was telling everyone to get saved
he was speaking to saved gentiles
warning them that they were just unnatural branches
explaining to them that because of Israel’s unbelief we have come in, but our future unbelief will be to their benefit, and it’s much easier for them because they are natural branches,
you have the context all messed up, this is not about who gets saved or not, but about the gentiles who were boasting about how great they were and attacking Israel as losers,
[quoteA]I'm not going all over the place like a loose cannon. The Prophets and Apostles taught that Gods church (
ekklēsia-alled out ones) is one in Christ. Abraham, Moses, all the Israelites, were being called out of this evil world. Some don't want to leave it. And gentiles are no different. But anyone who does, whether Jew or gentile becomes part of God's holy Nation.
Youre forcing Judaism into the scriptures. Youre trying to separate God's people from one another, instead of separating God's people from this sinful world. Youre making a terrible mistake.[/QUOTE]
your all over the place,
if you really studied Romans 9-11 you would see it was prophesied the gentiles would come in, and that Israel, would fade away in unbelief,
but Paul also warned you not to boast, that there will be a time when all Israel will be saved
the prophets tell us that the two split nations of Israel will be reunited returned to ther land, the gentiles who treated them badly will be punished, they will be made on nation AGAIN, and they will stop their sin, and worshiping idols, and Christ will be there king,
this can’t be talking about the church
the church was never a nation, it was never split into two nations, it was never punished and scattered because of her sins, it can never be made one AGAIN in its land (it was never promised land) and it was promised a husband not a king
