lol, your post brought back memories of Christmas on CC and the argument and defense that statues are statues but nativity scenes in the yard and ornaments were not a few years back.
I must have missed this one, but I could see it happening

Yep, also known as wanna be christians, they have many names, but most look the same,

1. they all claim to love God
2. they all base their christian life on following some set of rules
3. they love to judge true believer who walk by faith not by site
4. they love to puff themselves up will considering their sins a non issue, or outright denying they sin at all
5. they all believe salvation will in the end depend on how righteous we are in this life (faith plus works)
Let's not professional Christians, like so many ' Name it and Claim it's.'

Yep Sometimes It's better for me to just watch the threads unfold instead of participating. In threads like these I often wonder what rule will be argued in where following the law begins and ends. What I mean is in the north in the winter it must get really cold https://biblehub.com/exodus/35-3.htm and does it count if the servants(light company, water co.) are working to run the ac/furnace/water going? https://biblehub.com/exodus/20-10.htm

if someone is going to follow this to the letter, would it not also mean that people are sinning if they only work 5 days a week?

as it is, observing a certain day does not save

we are to rest in Christ, meaning His work is complete. we are a new creation in Christ and the original creation is no longer in the state in which it was created
When the Lord tells us to rest, we are to not read what the Lord says as only physical commands or only spiritual commands. That is limiting the Lord, our Holy God speaks to both our physical and spiritual being.

What we do physically is a reflection of our spiritual being.

I do believe that refers to salvation. God does not tell us to rest. He tells us our rest is in His Son. We rest from our labors at trying to perform in such a way that salvation is secured. It has already been secured.

The rest spoken of in Christ, does not mean a physical rest.

What translation are you reading ?
I normally read the NASB, but I make reference to several. Did you go back and read carefully? Do you see what you previously missed?

Overlooking the atrocious spelling for the moment, the entire statement was "YESUAH MEANS for us to keep the Saveneth day holy like GOD did in Creation". The statement is clearly distinguishing Jesus from God (which is fine for the moment) but does not provide any text where Jesus actually says that to the Christian believer. In Genesis 2, "Jesus" does not "mean" for us to keep the seventh day holy; God does.

You overlooked far more than the spelling, which is why I kept telling you to read it more carefully.

My scripture disagrees with you, in my bible it tells us to rest from our labors. That means to rest in Christ, as we are forgiven of our sins by Christ. It also tells us to rest our bodies as they are tired from our physical labors. We are to accept what the Lord tells us and not deny His words either physically or spiritually.

If the powers of this world ask us to observe a Sabbath for the common good (environment, health, social and religious reasons), will you keep Sunday holy and worship the pagan sun God, and man made traditions?
One man esteemeth one day above another:

another esteemeth every day alike.

Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭14:5‬ ‭

It’s not the observance of the day that is important but that we live each day in Christ having Christ in us

“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:16-

something has changed drastically regarding the keeping of the letter

Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come;

but the body is of Christ.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2:16-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:28-30‬ ‭

the sabbath has changed also

Haven't missed anything because the KJV is more accurate than the new American standard Bible.

Resting in Jesus, keeping our focus on Him, Loving Him is most important to everyone. But most of you have made up your mind to the question in Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith?

God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

It is clear that the law does not save us and that we can not earn points by keeping the law but it is also clear that we should continue to keep the law because we love Jesus. When you love someone you don't steal from them and you don't lie to them and you don't dishonor, or disrespect them. Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

The problem seems to be that the Sabbath is removed from the law, the sabbath is made void in many different ways.
