God has always preserved his word for those who search diligently. It was not until 1611 did God perfectly preserve his words and completed them in a book.
Those two statements are mutually contradictory.

As I have said before, you really should think through your arguments before posting them.

The extent of your irrationality defies words to properly define it :rolleyes:o_O:rolleyes::oops:

And there also is a good example of that which I referred to earlier for which you asked proof.

A dead language is "one that is no longer the native language of any community," even if it is still in use, like Latin. Is the language growing and changing with the times through use? No. Therefore it is classified as a dead language. PS~ I don't see you speaking as the KJV ;):giggle:
Bible of the month club since the English language is ever-changing...

There you go with your ignorant assertions about the majority again. It's a fallacious argument; don't use it. You don't know jack about what "the majority of Christians" know or believe.
Please go back and read my original statement. I said the majority of Christians I have spoken with.

Anyway, back to the topic, I have found the Berean to be one I enjoy, the NT by Kenneth Wuest is a great help as well. Since Pentecost Sunday the believer should be guided in all truth by Holy Spirit, the words read are of less importance than going to the Lord and asking Him to reveal His truth from whatever version we have, He never gets confused.
If we are leaning on our own understanding in contravention of His instruction we can get confused.
Problems are never on His end.
Amen, I think the explanded translation by Wuest gives us a hint at what the NT at the least would look like in a true translation which took into account all things

Which, as I stated, is a very small minority.

You do not know what the majority of Christians know or believe, so unless you specify every time that you mean "with whom I have spoken", your comments are baseless. Every word matters; at least, that's what you keep claiming. ;)

Nope, that's absurd. The preacher should just explain the word and how it's the proper translation. The KJV will define itself to the one who studies.
if a person does not understand the word. They have no capacity to understand what is being said.

and even if the preacher explains the word. your still going to be getting his view. You still need to test what he said using all available resources, which God has given us many,

Wycliffe, Tyndale, Geneva, Bishop's, Coverdale, etc. etc. etc.

You just have one bad argument after another, and no good ones.

I read and study it daily so do millions of others. It's not dead sir.
You were trained in it, I am talking about the laymen of which there are far more than the so called millions you speak of, so I guess it’s only good for the select few. Screw everyone else huh?

Thanks E.G., some of the amplified come close. I wish the Wuest were back in print.

With this outlook, changes should be made all the time. Do you not see a problem with this? In the near future, the words man and woman may not be used. Do we update the Bible to fit our updated language? No way!
Yeah I guess your right

we should leave what was wrongly translated as it is, and leave people even more confused

see how you take silly examples. that’s why no one can talk to you. this is not a man woman issue, I have the examples of baptism and tongues, at leased one of these words are used today, sadly the English word does not adequately interpret the Greek word for which it translates. But that means nothing to you. The word tongues is seen as some spiritual language which is used across many religions. And is in itself meaningless and actually hurtful to the modern world

The translations footnote that verse appropriately. Perhaps not the KJV. I didn't look & I don't know as I hardly consult it.
Are you interested in textual criticism from a scholarly POV? Not all manuscripts agree.
I'm interested in this Not all manuscripts agree. But why? Thanks for any input.[/QUOTE]

I posted a detailed review of the verse you chose.
There have been some good quality posts by several people on this thread & others about manuscripts.
How many times do you want to cover the same ground?

So when John finished writing revelations. The word was not perfect yet God for whatever reason wanted man to wait 16 centuries until he would perfect his love letter to the world.

wow man, like wow.
