You're contradicting yourself dude. If you didn't like being called Bono, maybe now you have some small hint of how people on the receiving end of stereotypes feel.

I can understand this. I grew up in a nearly all-white area, then later worked for many years on the border between an all-white city and all-black town, then after that, in an environment that was about 90%+ Mexican. I loved the chance to learn about new people, places, and cultures, but could never find anyone to identify with when it came to my own identity.
All my life, I have prayed that God would put me in more diverse areas, or at least give me the opportunity to interact with more diverse populations, but I do understand that not everyone has that desire.
And, from the time I was a kid, Australia and New Zealand have always been on my bucket list of places I've wanted to visit.
Consider this an advance warning if I wind up in your country someday!

Oh, my late gran was Dutch, which was hardly enthralling.
Asians are in Newcastle cos of the uni.
Few other ethnicities here in Newcastle.
Most are in Sydney.
Some I like, some I don't.

Why on earth do you the French language "French", the language of Ireland "Irish" (though I think the most nationally associated language is Gaelic -- for all of you out there who know, please correct me,) and yet...???
You insist on calling Asian languages, or even the language of China, "Ching Chong"?
This is utterly baffling to me.
Why didn't you just refer to the language of China as simply "Chinese" to begin with?
Why in the world would you choose such an obviously racist-sounding term for Asian languages, yet go through the effort to "properly" "brand" languages of other nations?

I like to tell people that I'm a Dutch Asian who should be using wooden chopsticks (but I don't,) and wearing wooden shoes (another don't.)
