I think in all things people need balance.
The person I am to be with needs to know when to be sensitive and loving if I am having a rough time/or need him to be more romanatic.
On the flip side, he also needs to know when to step up and be the man.
No one is perfect, and it does go both ways. Women need to have that balance in their life too.
Also, I want to say that there is a BIG difference between sensitive and wishy-washy.

Yes, but every man gives off a certain personality in general. Thats what I mean, his general personality, like how other people would describe him if they just met him.

When you phrase it this way then..... I guess I default to more masculine I guess.
I enjoy the outdoors: Hiking, camping etc. That is not to say that someone who knows how to dress well and fix his hair nice will not enjoy those things.
I don't know....I was having this discussion with someone recently about the *type* we are attracted to.
She fails to believe me, but I honestly do NOT have a type. When I tell people that I honestly go for the heart...I REALLY do. Physical appearance is not a factor in deciding my type.
(I have said this before too...... this is not to say that I can't look at someone and see that they are attractive etc, because I can....but if they are a jerk, or have an ego the size of texas...then forget it. I don't care how attractive you are.)

I look at the heart too. I've met women who were attractive but they turned me off with their personality, and I've met women who I didn't find attractive at first but then their personality attracted me to them.

That is so incredibly annoying and vague and stereotypical. You cant define male and female roles just on a few words that both men and women can display

When I read the question, I was thinking, "Well, I want a guy who, let's say if someone was bother me in pubic, I'd feel safe around him--I could feel confident that he'd stand up for me and not run away... But at the same time, if he spends more time on his hair than I do, or if he spends more money on things like manicures and facials than I do (I wish I had the money for those things but I don't, so I manage my own self-care at home instead of at a salon!)... then not so much..." I am ALL for a guy being well-groomed... it's just that... Hmm. If I were dating a guy and everyone thought that HE was the "PRETTY" one in the relationship... UH... I think I'd feel intimidated...

Oh come on zeroturbulence you can do better than that. Psychology is just a scientific way of rationalising sinful behaviour. They can even explain murder. Gah!
Well, all sciences can be used in evil ways, but its true that we all have a masculine and a feminine side. For example, all men experience times when they need the approval of others (NOTE to all ladies: that is psychology's definition of the feminine side, I didn't come up with it).
The top guy (James Denton) is supposed to be the strong masculine type and Ashton Kutcher is supposed to be the more playful, expressive "feminine" type. I guess I shouldn't have used the word feminine. Some folks just don't like me using it.

If I had just the photos to pick from, I would have to say that, for me, Denton is the physically attractive one, not Kutcher. Kutcher seems like too much of a little boy for me to find him physically attractive. But, as you say, there are other things about a person to consider. For all I know, Denton could be a jerk. Kutcher, on the other hand, is actually a very intelligent, funny guy.
I tend to lean toward more manly men because of my strong nature AND because....silly me...I want to be the pretty one in a couple.
