Yes. The misapplication of that one small 's' (referring to PLURAL virginS), not to mention its CONTEXT, has led to many false ideas, such as:
--"partial-rapture theory"
--"Millennial-exclusion theory [for any member of 'the Church WHICH IS HIS BODY']"
--"'lose-your-salvation' theory"
--men thinking they can "marry" numerous women at the same time
--and so many more...
You can not possibly avoid a partial rapture.
Jesus told CHRISTIANS, born again believers, " pray that YOU may be counted WORTHY to escape the things about to come upon the earth...."
WORTHY
the 10 virgin parable is a "worthyness" parable.
Jesus takes the 5 virgins ( not one as you suggest) into a room and the door is shut( mind you it is obvious it is the wedding chamber.... But you find a way to discard that dynamic).
The nominal pew sitters return with "oil" and are cast WHERE????
Into suffering!!! THE GT!!!
Yes indeed...they are beheaded or take the mark.
Then are found later, in heaven, before the throne, as the innumerable number.
Then in mat 24 Jesus shifts into "before the flood" TIMEFRAME.
IN THAT NEW TIMEFRAME, Jesus frames noah, one taken/ left, and watching and being ready!!!
Hello...the rapture!!!
Still not convinced??
The parable of the 10 virgins is practically in the same breath.
(Just a few sentences later.)
Over and over in the 7 letters to the 7 churches jesus speaks of WORTHINESS.
"Unless you do THIS i will do THAT"
THE CHURCH is not the bride.
PART OF the church is the bride.
Those Jesus says are worthy.
( roughly half the church) as depicted in mat 24 and 25.
Jesus tells THE CHURCH "because you have kept my word...I WILL KEEP YOU out of the trial...."
That is a PERCENTAGE of the church.
Partial Rapture ...AUTHENTICATED BY JESUS..
Rock solid.
