This tells us it is only through Christ we have salvation, something repeated throughout the entire scriptures. The question is when did Christ come? When was grace given through faith? Did Moses or David live eternally through faith, for they were men and no man has lived without Christ.

Galatians 3:22 Now before faith came, we were confined under the law, kept under restraint until faith should be revealed.
Yes
so why do you preach to people who have come to faith that they should go back to the schoolmaster?

The fact is Paul said anyone under law is cursed period
that’s why the law was given.

Actually, the question was,
Where do you find scripture telling us the law was required until Christ came along?
The answer is:
Galatians 3:19 Why, then, was the law given at all? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come. The law was given through angels and entrusted to a mediator. 20 A mediator, however, implies more than one party; but God is one. 21 Is the law, therefore, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law. 22 But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe. 23 Before the coming of this faith,[j] we were held in custody under the law, locked up until the faith that was to come would be revealed. 24 So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith.

I find it impossible to even consider that the Lord gave us the law in order to curse us. I understand that disobedience to the Law curses us with death, but through Christ it is as if we were obedient.

You scold for saying that saved people are told to live as repentant people, not wanting to sin. Yet if I were to preach that as a saved person we should want to sin because it does not kill a saved person, I am sure you would also scold.

Christ was from the beginning, Christ is the seed. Christ was given as soon as sin entered our lives through the disobedience to Adam and Eve. Christ was not fulfilled for thousands of years, but now what Christ did for us is fulfilled and made perfect. We are saved. The law happened as soon as sin entered the world, the law tells us what sin is.

Then the mystery of God is hidden from you
Paul said it. Saying it does nit is to call Paul a liar
cursed is the one who does not obey every word
the law was given to expose our sin. I guess it has not worked in you yet since you want to keep going back to it

Most posters speak about scripture. Your posts turn this post into showing lack of love for others, of using this site to accuse people. It is bringing into a Christian site what is not of Christ. Could you please bring out what your interpretation of scripture is without the accusing?

Paul was bringing out that the sin in our life that is not forgiven by Christ kills, and I think you actually know that, don't know why you are bringing out curses and turning the joy and love of the Lord into curses. Paul didn't do that.

I don't know where you're getting these ideas, but it's certainly not from the Bible.

In Genesis, it says that Christ was promised, not that He was given. In Exodus, the law is given, thousands of years after sin entered the world.

For some reason you are changing the subject. You asked, "Where do you find scripture telling us the law was required until Christ came along?" I have answered that question, but instead of acknowledging the answer, you are off on a rabbit trail. Let's deal with one error at a time, shall we?

I accuse you because you sin, you lie about others

you don’t know the law. The law did not say repent when you sin, it said give animal sacrifice.

as paul said your indebted to keep the whole law.
stop slandering other people, and own up to the fact paul and moses and James call your view false

John 1: 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

Scripture tells us, if you will read it, that Christ is our sacrifice, and if we use animal sacrifice we are denying Christ.

We are only asked to keep the whole law if we use the law for our salvation, denying that Christ is our sacrifice for salvation.

Christ told us to keep the whole law. Christ knew our fleshly self could not to that, but through the gift of Christ we live as if we do. We have the righteousness of Christ.

If we have the righteousness of Christ within us, we hate sin and want to be sinless. We cannot want to be sinful and want Christ within.

If you are to keep the law. You must keep it all OR YOU DO NOT KEEP IT.

What part of that do you not understand?

Its like being given a set of guidelines. And you claim you keep them. Yet you do not keep them all. only the parts you wish to keep.

God gave the LAW to moses. WHen he gave them, He made Moses to them to confirm an oath. that they would confirm and obey every word written. Cursed is the one who does not do this

Deuteronomy 27:26
Cursed is the one who does not confirm all the words of this law by observing them.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’ ”

Paul confirmed what Moses said. When he said whoever tries to be under the law is under a curse. WHy? Because Moses said so

Galations 3:
10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.”

And then Paul told us WHY the law was given!

Gal 3:
19 What purpose then does the law serve? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator. 20 Now a mediator does not mediate for one only, but God is one.

21 Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law. 22 But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. 23 But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, [f]kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. 24 Therefore the law was our [g]tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.

Why would you want to go back to the tutor. When it has completed it's job in your life? The law is a curse for anyone who tries to put them selves under it.

remember, hebrew roots folks like bilk think the Romans invented sun. worship, and Jesus was raised on the Sabbath, so, keeping the Sabbath is the mark of a true believer, and sun. worship is the mark of a beast system folloewer.

very important to keep in mind that hebrew roots folks use " Law" as a code for " Sabbath", the Sabbath is the centerpiece of their theology...

I am a human and unable to keep the law, so your post is blowing in the wind. However, I am a saved Christian so my will has been given over to Christ, and I want to keep the law.

All your posts seems to be trying to make scripture say it is wrong to not want to be disobedient, and I wonder about that. Actually, scripture tells us to be obedient, no scripture tells us to be disobedient.

Your right. Which means you trying to keep going to the law is quite foolish. Because you just admitted you can not keep it. According to Moses. Paul you are cursed.

So instead of looking to the law. Look to Christ.

It has nothing to do with this nonsense. It is about the law and what its purpose is and what we are told about those who can not keep it CURSED IS THE ONE.

If your looking to the law to find obedience you will not find it. Look to Christ. and obey the law of Love

Do any of the Christians here see the law as a blessing and not a curse?
The Law is a blessing as it is used to reveal our sin/sinfulness.
It is a curse because it demands perfection, yet we are impotent to keep it.
So it ends up revealing our shortcomings and (hopefully) drives us to our Savior.
Thus through faith the law is established...

Romans 3:31 (KJV) Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

Because it drives us to the One who perfectly kept the law...unlike us buffoons who continually break the law.

I am NOT going to the law for forgiveness and you are in error to accuse me of such. A serious error on your part. I am obeying the Lord when the Lord tells me to repent of my sins. The law teaches me what is sin and what I need to repent of.

You seem to want to tell me what to do about being a Christian. So let me tell you what to do, instead. Stop your preaching about how awful it is to want to repent of sin. Scripture tells you it is wrong to do that. “Whosoever shall in his practice violate but one of the commandments of God, which the Pharisees judge of the least, and which possibly are so compared with others, and shall teach men that they may do as he doth, making such false interpretations of the law as may warrant such a practice, he shall be accounted of the least value and esteem… and shall never come into the kingdom of glory…”

Although directed at the Jews then, it applies to all, now...

For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
(Rom 10:3-4)

As long as you are trying to keep the law, you are not submitting to the righteousness of God. You are rebelling.

Where do you find scripture telling us the law was required until Christ came along? I find that is only true if it is understood that Christ was from the beginning.

I find old testament scripture telling us that there is no forgiveness without blood, that grace comes from the Father and there was grace for people of the old testament, that Christ was from the beginning. The entire sacrificial system is about forgiveness given through the shadow of Christ. I do not find any scripture telling us that forgiveness depends of the law This was a truth of our eternal God. God is one and Christ is God.
Hebrews 10
1 For the law is only a shadow of the good things to come, not the realities themselves. It can never, by the same sacrifices offered year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship. 2 If it could, would not the offerings have ceased? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt the guilt of their sins.

3 Instead, those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins, 4 because it is
impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.

5 Therefore, when Christ came into the world, He said:
“Sacrifice and offering You did not desire,
but a body You prepared for Me.

6 In burnt offerings and sin offerings You took no delight.

7 Then I said, ‘Here I am, it is written about Me in the scroll:
I have come to do Your will, O God.’ ”

8 In the passage above He says, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings You did not desire, nor did You delight in them” (although they are offered according to the law). 9Then He adds, “Here I am, I have come to do Your will.” He takes away the first to establish the second. 10 And by that will, we have been sanctified through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
