I often find that scientists simply want to avoid the spirit within them. When I sat and had a detailed discussion with an academic one thing was abundantly clear, he wasn't willing to discuss his feelings and even give his feelings the place to flourish and be recognised
Well in general they are not feeling oriented people at all. I mean it's like building up one arm and not the other. I'm quite guilty of this myself. Mostly because my heart leads me to be an ass really. I don't put too much stock in that part of me. Men perhaps have evil hearts, they certainly shouldn't lead the way with them. At least in my experience. There is love and there is anger, I prefer peace.

Sounds like you have been hurt.

Well in all honesty, I have all the proof in the world in a way. The problem is, is it valid proof?

Tell me, what if you thought you heard God at some point? How would that change things for you? Would it still be a faith to you?
God has given us the choice to believe, or not to. The answer to that 'problem' is quite literally, your choice.

Tell me, what if you thought you heard God at some point?
What if, what if, what if... - what about what is, what is, what is? How will you believe or understand the response of a hypothetical, if you cannot wholeheartedly believe a much greater certainty?

But I answer, indeed, we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Cor5:7), in every circumstance, including this one you propose.

But then, why do you even ask a question of faith? It requires that you believe in it, yet it too, cannot be seen, heard, or measured.

The above is rhetorical, though you may want to ponder it. If you haven't yet made your choice, I suggest you muster up any faith in God you may have, and pray for Him to shed His Light onto your confusion. Though, it seems to me, you have, in which case, there is no more to be discussed here.

Well we've all been hurt before. Hurt is a part of life. In fact there are some truths which can hurt you, simply trying to meditate on the world as a whole you start to see things that unsettle you. Certainly don't do that if you have a depressive personality, that tends to view the negative. The world breaks hearts.
