hello everyone, my name is shay and I'm seventeen. I'm new to this whole thing and i don't really know anything. I grew up in a messy house where religion was never talked about. I have decided that I what to find out what I believe rather than someone else telling me what i should believe in. I've made a lot of mistakes in life, but I know that something in my life needs to change in order for me to keep living. I hope that I get to meet some new people, and learn from u all.
You are very wise, Shay! Compare everything you hear with what the Bible says. God will help you understand the Bible if you ask Him to. Here are some Bible Verses to get you started:
John
3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
...That tells us that Jesus loves us and wants us to come to Him so we can live in light with Him rather than stumble in darkness without Him.
Romans3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
... That says that all of us start out with messed up lives and all of us need to come to Jesus. Only Jesus can make us clean and give us a fresh start.
