It can be a good thing, if you found the wrong one. It can be a bad thing, if you found the right one and messed it up.
It can get confusing if you found the wrong one but desperately try to believe it was the right one out of fear of being alone... Or if you found the right one and try to believe it's the wrong one because of the "sour grapes" effect.
