I would not say that it is wrong but it may be unwise due to possible conflicts in certain situations. On the other hand, years ago I had a Muslim friend who acted more Christian than a lot of Christians I knew.

I'm not sure about right or wrong, but why would you want to?

There are verses I have read many times that talk about being 'unequally yolked". Ive had Christian relationships and "worldly" relationships. Believe me, dating a non-Christian is a BAD plan.

We're not really supposed to marry outside of the faith. There's plenty of examples where it ends in epic disaster, and not so many examples of where God steps in to help make things right. I wouldn't take the risk.

As far as "dating" goes, I suppose you can go do stuff with whoever you want, but if it starts to feel romantic you better run like your life depends on it.

We are free to do whatever we choose. We have also been given a wonderful cheat sheet for life, called the bible, and it tells us what we should avoid if we want to live a good life.

You can do whatever you want, but if you deliberately do something in the Bible says to avoid don't expect to be able to pray and God will magically make everything all right when you run into trouble.

If I run my minivan with no oil, I can't really blame Mazda when it breaks down, or reasonably expect them to fix the vehicle on their own dime.

But sure, you can do it if you want. Just be ready for the consequences.

Bible says flee youthful lust and fornication.

Sometimes you cant really hide if they running after you, some people actually like 'the chase'. I know, weird, but stalkers dont give up easily.

Just tell them sorry, no. God has better things for you. This doesnt mean 'be a snob' but just dont go there. God is meant to be your first love.

I'm too scared to date single Christian guys. I was burned by one pretty bad and I just never trusted them again. I recently realized that was a fear of mine and have been praying against it and praying that God really transforms that part of me.

I think there's a risk to any relationship. You'd figure having the same religion would simplify things but its not always the case. Also you have to figure in the fact that some can lie about being Christian just to sleep with you

That seems so completely backwards, but sadly it does happen.

Welcome to CC, btw. :)

Many years ago in our Church a young lady named Grace( lol I know) asked our pastor about a young man she was dating and who was not a believer, she said she was falling in love with him,the Pastor full of the Holy Spirit said he wanted to pray before talking to her about this,he said please give me an hour,so she waited, after about 45 min he came out of his prayer room back into the kitchen of the church where she was having a soft drink with the pastors wife.

He said Grace please follow me. He took her outside to the back of the church where the kids would play, there were swings, and a very large and steep hill,he said please walk to the top of the hill,so she did he arrived a few steps from her,he said now pull me up to where you are,so she tugged and pulled, but could not pull the pastor up to where she was,she said sorry pastor I cannot pull you to where I am,then he said give me your hand please, she did and very gently he pulled her down to where he was.

" He said, And so my dear sister in most cases this is what will happen when one hangs around a non believer.( 2 Cor 6:11-16) and 2 John 1:1-5-11) I do not tell you what to do,I only show you what in most cases happens to a lamb wanting to be near a wolf. I ask only that you consider what I have showed you".

She thanked the pastor and went on her way. In the end,she decided to not date him anymore and a few months later found a believer she loved and married him. I mean no pressure upon you chowerhead but this was a true story I was led to share with you. May every blessing always find you,and always find you most well in our Lord Jesus!!

Plenty of things that can go wrong with "Christian" guys including but not limited to:

Guys who use the idea of male headship to be abusively authoritarian (or just plain abusive)
Guys who believe they have a God given right to have all their needs met by the woman God has chosen for them
Guys who use the idea of charity and Christian love to tell a woman she needs to put up with his sins and faults and makes no effort to change them
Guys who believe in courtship and so push the relationship toward marriage at a hugely accelerated pace
Guys who use the label Chrsitian because they believe that all the nice girls it will give them access to secretly want to be naughty

And that's just the way the Chrsitian part of christian guys can go bad. They're still subject to all the usual not at all related to Christian teaching issues that single guys looking for a date can deal with.

Not saying that any of these have happened to me (or to shiney), but if my choice were between a nominally Christian guy and an unbeliever of high morals and integrity...................................

This is me we're talking about, I'd stay single.

Now Muriel, plays piano
Every Friday at the Hollywood
And they brought me down to see her
And they asked me if I would
To do a little number
And I sang with all my might
She said, "Tell me are you a Christian child?"

And I said, "Ma'am, I am tonight"

Well our relationship with Jesus should be the most important one in our life. Why would you want to marry someone who doesn't want a relationship with Him too?

It would be very difficult because we base our values and priorities on our faith. If your partner doesn't share the faith, then she won't care about the things that you care about. How would you raise your children? Would you celebrate things like Halloween or read zodiac charts? Would you be okay if your partner wants to watch something like Annabelle?

So just think about that. Would you want to share your life with someone who doesn't have faith? Someone who might even mock Jesus? Someone who wouldn't want to teach your kids about Him either.

I recall one of my workmates in the library married this charismatic christian guy, had a son with him but split as he was having an affair with someone else in the church

of course I was totally shocked but now Im not so anymore im like yea that can happen

She did say she still had faith, just not in her ex-husband.

so maybe just as with anything, dont be taken in by wolves in sheeps clothing either.

Yeah... "Flirt to convert" usually doesn't work too well.
