I have pretty naked walls. Only have a picture of Jesus up. I was thinking of putting up some more, and put a cross on the wall in all rooms. Can I make them myself, or must they be perfect and nice to look at? Must they be painted and stuff? Must they be in a certain proportion? The long one in this measure related to the wide stick in that dimension. Stuff like that. It is ten rooms, bit costly to purchase them.

I can imagine certain kinds of churches laying down rules for this matter, but I cannot imagine myself going to such a church.

There is no pan-denominational guideline for what kinds of crosses you can display where in your house.

Good, but I was not thinking about churches really, unless some orthodox ones had rules. I was thinking of the bible, God and Jesus. Or if any apostles had spoken of it.

I'm currently on my 5th complete reading. Just finished the 4th 11 days ago. My wife read the last time and now it is my turn again. Each reading we use a different version. Last one was NIV and this one is New Revised Standard Revision.

OK kind people answering. Is there any rules against discussing supersticion here, and believing what others say, and that the cross protects? And what you yourself have expirienced that is not normal?

um not sure what you asking here. If your landlord allows you to, you can put up anything you like on the walls but if not then dont cos they would have to take it all down again if they renovate.

I dont know if your tenancy has rules though Im sure if you knock holes in the walls you would have to pay for repairing them. If putting up items you need to locate the wall studs but otherwise you could just put things up with bluetack or sellotape or those 3m sticky hooks that dont leave marks on the walls.

Interesting. Pirate as in free, perhaps I also will make a flag and declare the house a new nation, go libertarian, and stop paying taxes. Go the chaz route. And make a code of laws for the yard of mylandia, the worlds newest nation. Taken into consideration, will be much work, governing nations is a lot of job, if you put an effort into it. And in the nation of one, I have to do all the jobs, customs agent, police, fireman, and make my own dump for garbadge, and water, electrictyproduction, etc. Big, big job. Had better do this down the line, not now. Just sensible decoration of totally naked walls for now.

My landlord has said nothing about it, and it is fine. There are some nails up, or at least holes where there were nails, and was pictures before. It is my fathers house, his mothers old house, where an old uncle expired a few years ago, that has been vacant for 3 years ago or so. All the pictures were taken down when the siblings divided the stuff they wanted. Nobody seemed to want anything and deemed most of it as junk, so there is a bunch of stuff stored there which just takes up space. But some paintings and pictures I can put up again, that had sentimental value to me, and my mother is a painter, so putting up some of her paintings. And I want to put up somce religious stuff, like crosses. I am in my old apartment now, and I look at a picture of Jesus watching over some sheep in my bathroom several times a day, it reminds me and gives me comfort. Want something like that in all rooms.

I tell you all the things that remind me of the Lord in my home, apart from the Bibles, on the walls...and doors
Ive got a cross my neighbour gave me in my study, just a small one that says grace and blessings on it, on wall and also a glass ornament with a cross etched on a rock, he gave that to me as well, in my bedroom, on my bookshelf.

Theres also a cross with 'As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord' inscribed on a plaque hanging out the front door.

I dont have something in every single room cos I share the house, but I decorate with flowers.

I have a drawing of an olive tree and a psalm scripture in a frame and also a needlepoint tapestry with proverbs on it. I got a wooden heart that says believe with all your heart on the wall and I attached got angel wings.
In closet/wardrobe I have scriptures from old calendars even though its just got clothes hanging up in there.
Bedroom Calendar also has scriptures on it.
Got a hook with a blessing that hung the kitchen calendar on it.

Good suggestions. Will look into this about flowers. Could be nice for the wintertime. Just had some outside in the yeard. Just have a few plasticplants inside in the windowsills. I have none of those old stuff with all sorts of religious stuff, postcard, calenders, drawings. Since I do not have any christian folks in my family. And I have the two or three religious pictures that my gran had. None of her kids seemed interested in them. So, I kind of have to create if I want more. Not good at painting.
