The Perfect Law of Liberty is the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus, who has DELIVERED us from the law of sin and death (10 commandments)
The law of sin and death is what is spoken of in Romans 7:14-25.

The law of liberty is what is spoken of in Galatians 5:16-24; and it includes within it the concept that there is no law that will condemn a man as a sinner if he bears the fruit of the Spirit. So, we are law-abiding citizens of the kingdom of heaven (concerning the ten commandments), who bear the fruit of the Spirit and walk according to the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23; see also Romans 8:4).

many things, many topics, many levels in Scripture.

not everything is black and white. but if we are always looking out for the ' black' to counter it with our concept of ' white' we might miss the many other colors... the Authors knew about probably -- but we don't always. not being the Authors -- we don't know many things of what is being referred to always.

I guess it may be hard for you to believe that I just happened by considering the differences you have with JBF, but I really did just happen by.

I've found JBF to be very advanced in the scripture! If you disagree with him I would suggest you study up very carefully before you respond with difference. You may find that he is discussing something of detail you have never considered, and maybe even never heard explained before.
I was not born yesterday.

You have not been here long enough to know what your best buddy teaches and start praising his name

I know what. I will just put you in a pray bin and pray for you.

ps. I been studying the word for 4 decades. And your friend has no idea what he is saying about the law or the word.

Hello Grandpa! I know justbyfaith well enough to know he is not a Law/Commandment keeper of his own ability or efforts.

He is referring to the Law being fulfilled in us by faith in Christ.

Rom. 8:3-4

"For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

Walking after the flesh is referring to trying to keep the Law of our own strength and ability. After the Spirit is depending on the Holy Spirit to fulfill the Law in us by faith.

I can assure you justbyfaith is walking in the Spirit!
IF that were the case he would understand the scripture I have posted and he wouldn't conflate working at the law with walking in the spirit.

I remain unconvinced.

Lots of pharisees have learned the lingo but have no idea what scripture means.

Rom 8:4, That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

In Romans 3:21, we find that there is a righteousness apart from the law, that is nevertheless attested to by the law and the prophets, that it is righteousness indeed.
Yes. A righteousness apart from the law. Because the law is not of faith. Our righteousness is PURELY by faith in Christ.

We all have to see it our own way, Grandpa! I respectfully disagree with you on this one, JBF is far from a Pharisee!

As far as "rightly dividing the Word of Truth" this is my brand,

Proverbs 1:23

"Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you."

You need an unction from the holy one to be able to understand His word (see 1 John 2:20, Matthew 7:7-8).

I know @Charlie24 from another Christian Message Board. He actually invited me over to a second one to help him out with things and we teamed up there for a while to contend with a "Christian" website where most of the posters were primarily non-Christian (many of them had fallen for the lie of Universalism). We know each other from our postings at those websites. And it is also true that I did not invite him over to this one. He recently left the second website that I told you of and I left that one not long afterwards because the moderator put me on 1 two-week hiatus and I then found this website and never went back to the old one. We did not communicate after he left; except after he showed up here I welcomed him to these boards in a different thread from this one.

Yes, a righteousness apart from the law, that is nevertheless attested to by the law and the prophets that it is righteousness indeed.

Because it is not obtained through attempting to obey a set of do's and don'ts; but by faith in Jesus through whom we receive the Holy Spirit (Galatians 3:14); and then, as we bear His fruit, we become law-abiding citizens of the kingdom of heaven (Galatians 5:22-23, Romans 8:4).

When it says that the law is not of faith, that is concerning justification and not sanctification according to the context.

Because, again, we receive the Spirit by faith; and when we walk according to the Spirit, the righteousness of the law is fulfilled in us.

And therefore, we become obedient to the spirit of the law through faith.

But as concerning justification, the law is not of faith. Which means that if I am justified by faith, I am not justified through law-keeping.

I hold that this is absolute truth; that we are not justified through the keeping of the law.

I believe that Galatians 3:10 is also in reference to justification. Those who seek to be justified through the keeping of the law are required to keep the whole law perfectly from conception into eternity. but for those who know that they are justified solely through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ, if they look into the perfect law of liberty and continue in it, they are not cursed but blessed (James 1:25). The law of liberty may also be spoken of in Romans 8:4a s related to Romans 7:6; that the righteousness of the law is fulfilled in those who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit...not the letter, but the spirit of what is written.

Our righteousness, which is purely by faith in Christ, is nevertheless practical in its application (1 John 3:7, Romans 5:19, Matthew 5:6).

Galatians 5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

Did you not read the scriptures that you posted?
If we are led of the Spirit, we are not under the law as concerning condemnation.

We are under the law to Christ as concerning obedience (1 Corinthians 9:21)...or at least, Paul was.

We need to take all of scripture into account in our assessment of its message to us.

The law is written on the hearts and minds of New Covenant believers (Hebrews 8:8-10, Hebrews 10:16, Romans 8:7, Romans 8:4, 1 John 5:3, 2 John 1:6, Romans 13:8-10; Romans 5:5; 1 John 2:3-6) as concerning obedience.

Those who are led of the Spirit become law-abiding citizens of the kingdom of heaven (Galatians 5:22-23, Romans 8:4); but if they blow it, they are not under condemnation (Romans 4:5).

I would suggest looking up the scriptures (in the kjv, from which I am communicating them) to see whether they truly substantiate what I am saying.

Be a Berean (Acts 17:10-11).

Where, in all that I said to you in that post, did you get any statement from me where you can conclude such a thing?

Please quote the statement by me from which you draw that conclusion.

I believe that your statement is demonically-inspired.
