I would ask him who that hot babe was beside him on the front seat. Love the '57 Chevy. My dad had a '57 Chevy convertible.Gen 2:16- Jehovah God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17- but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Now, first of all, it was a simple but TELLING test.
You own and run a Used Car lot, and get tired of the hours- so you hire a man who seems trustworthy to run it FOR you.
You offer him a HUGE wage & benefits.
The only thing you ask of him- after telling him he can drive ANY of the cars home at the end of each day- is to leave the '57 Chevy alone.
How do YOU think you'd feel, if, early one morning, you decide to check on him- and you SEE him driving the Chevy into the lot?
The KJV and ASV are wrong. The word "being" is a better translation than "soul". "Soul" was often used in place of "persons" until quite recently. Hence, "SOS", literally, save our souls. Obviously that does not mean only the soul.Gen 2:7- And Jehovah God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. - ASV
Very few translations translate that as SOUL- but that what it is!
A soul wasn't put in him, he BECAME a living soul- just as the creatures at sea were!
Death is not the end of existence. It's separation from God. Adam died the moment he disobeyed God. Yet he was fully functional for nearly 1,000 years.View attachment 233068
A good detective know he must go back to the beginning to see what led up to the crime!
READY!
Put church dogma aside, rely on God's spirit!
No and No. If you know what death really is, you will know what Jesus means.__________________________________________________
Was Jesus contradicting himself and all the scriptures?
"The one who believes in me will live, even though they die."
"Whoever lives by believing in me will never die."
What do you think THAT meant? Was he using "live" and "die" like synonyms?
Do you think Christ is siding with SATAN?
It is hard for most to put traditional dogma aside.View attachment 233068

But it is true. The word of God is truth and we need to rely on it. The living soul that God created is not a spirit that floots off to heaven or hell at death. It is a physical body and the life from God.
God gives everyone time to choose who they will serve. Good or bad He gives us life.
When the physical body can't support life God allows us to die. Death comes because of sin.
When we die we do not continue to live in another state, or spiritual form. There is no evidence for this in the Bible.
There is alot of evidence to show that the dead are waiting for the resurrection. Unconscious but not forgotten.
Lets use the bible to confirm truth..
Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
That was a lie in the beginning and today it is a lie when people are told they don't die they just change into a spirit and go to heaven.
----------------------------------The scripture speaks of a "second death" in Revelations. So there must be a first death.
The first death is the physical death, while the "second death" is spiritual death, eternal separation from God.
When God told Adam if you eat of this tree "you will surly die" He was speaking of spiritual death.
The scripture plainly says, "the wages of sin is death." This is the second death, spiritual death.
Jesus came to save us from this "second death" that man had no control over being he has fallen through Adam.
If you look at the entire situation that man has placed himself with sin as a "legal matter" with God, it will be easier to understand.
I have written on this many years ago and it may be time to write on it again. "The legal matter between God and man."
